ARE YOU ACQUAINTED WITH GOD??
Ephesians 3: 14-19
Tonight Spiritually speaking, there are two kinds of Families here on Earth...
The Family of God and the family of satan.
And Every person no matter what their backgrounds are....belong to one of these families...AMEN...
Tonight Which Family do you belong to??
Who is your Father?? God or satan????
There’s only one way out from the family of satan and that’s to be born again into the family of God....
John 3:3 Jesus Said
Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God......
So There it is.... as plain as it gets...
You have to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and be born again in order to belong to the family of God,
And Call God your Heavenly Father....
Then once your born again, you will begin to grow spiritually as you get closer, and begin to develop your personal relationship with God...
And the number one way for us to get closer to the Father is through His Word..
We can’t understand God by our feelings
We understand Him by what His word says.
There’s lots of people that want to get acquainted with God through experiences..
And really you can learn some things about God through different experiences in life, But still the number one way to get to know Him is through The Word...
In God’s Word we find how the Father’s nature is always about His love for us
and In the Gospels, Jesus always presented God as a loving Father....
John 3:16 says:
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life....
John 16:27 says:
For the Father himself Loveth You,
because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God...
You gotta know that it was difficult for the Jews to understand what Jesus Christ was saying when He talked about a Father of Love....
See the Jews had only known God as a God of Law and justice..and that is one side of God...BUT...
Jesus Christ was presenting the Fatherhood side of God..He was presenting the very nature of the Father,...The Bible says:
in 1st John....
God is Love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him...
In the book of Matthew chap 6 it says;
Be not ye therefore like unto them....
(Which it’s talking about the gentiles)
For Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him...
AND Do not be like the world.....
And further it says...
Behold the fowls of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet Your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they???
This is the perfect example of how our Heavenly Father..Takes care of us....
We need not worry about tomorrow..
God’s gonna take care of us...
We don’t have to worry about next week
God’s gonna provide every need for us..
Just about the time we think we can’t make it ....God shows us that He’s right there..
And in our reading it said....
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ....
Don’t you just love to get beyond the vail and have that discussion with your Heavenly Father????
And VS. 15 said:
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named...
This word family shows us that God isn’t made up of some harsh religion....that’s cold and clammy...AMEN
Once we are borned again...
We are a part of the Family of God...
Religion is something that’s harsh and cold..
But Christianity is a real and intimate relationship with our
Father in Heaven....AMEN
There’s so many Christians that have such a difficult time comprehending God as a Father who loves and cares for them...
God ain’t standing there with a hammer waiting for you to mess up..and then beat you over the head with it....
He’s right there waiting for you to ask Him to forgive you for the wrongs you’ve done
against Him....
He ain’t waiting for you to make a mistake
and there to give you your punishment...
It’s not like that....
God is Love....
I Thank God for His love, and understanding...and Jesus was sent to reveal this love to us....
Turn with me to the Book of Matthew...
6:31-33...Jesus Tells us more about the Father’s Love for us...
A lot of people are thinking that they should read that last line as,... these things shall be taken away from you...
They think that if they put God first,
they won’t ever have anything...
But guess what???
Jesus said the things you need will be added to you as you.....WHAT???
SEEK ye FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD!!
This further proves God’s Love for His children.....
And further on in VS 34, Jesus said
Take therefore no thought for the morrow..
Or in other words don’t get anxious or
impatient about tomorrow...
Man that’s a real hard one for me....
This is further proof that God don’t want his children full of the worries and the troubles of this life...
He loves us and wants to meet our every need......
He’s always gonna be there for us....
So don’t worry be happy...don’t fret
and you can always be sure on one thing
As you trust God with your life, He will take a Father’s place and perform a Father’s part in your life.....
The book of John 14:21 tells us about the Father’s desire for an intimate fellowship with His children....IT SAYS:
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me Shall be loved of My Father.....and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.....
Right there we find that He talked about our responsibility.....
He said our job is to keep his commandments......
In Chapter 13 of John He said:
A new commandment I give unto you, that ye Love one another, as I have loved you..
Now that sounds so easy don’t it???
But I know just as well as you do
that its much harder than it sounds..
Here also in 14 : 21 Jesus said:
If a man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him......
Our Great and Wonderful Heavenly Father
Is this Father of Love and His very love nature is what cause Him to care for
and provide for you and me
His Children....AMEN
just think for a minute about your natural
fleshly, earthly Parents...
They know how to give their kids the wonderful things of this life, BUT
The Bible asks us this question...
If natural parents know how to give good things to their children, how much more does our Heavenly Father know how to give good gifts to His children....
MATTHEW 7:11 SAYS:
If ye then, being evil (or Fleshly)
know how to give good gifts unto your children, How Much More shall Your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him???
What’s the good things that the Father wants to give His Children???
He wants to give us healing’s, and prosperity...and blessings and all the delights of the wonders of God..
Tonight if you have a need...It’s a good thing to have your need met isn’t it??
Just like if you had an sickness or disease it would be such a wonderful thing to have it healed wouldn’t it???
THE BIBLE SAYS THAT HEALING IS GOOD!!!
Jesus went about on this earth over 2000 years ago doing good, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out devils from all that were possesed with them...
Healing is a good and wonderful thing and God delights himself to give you the good gift of healing, as well as anything else,
that you might possibly need....
BUT............
there’s some stipulations to all this...
We have to serve HIM with all our hearts, and all our souls, and all our minds.....
We have to learn to lift up the Name of Jesus higher than any other name in this life...
And We have to get that personal relationship... in Gear with God and we have to get prayed up....
And then we’ll begin to see everything fall right into place....
And if this sounds like its hard to accept then think about this....
We can enjoy the same relationship with God as Jesus did when He walked on
this earth....
Here’s the Proof
JOHN 17:23 SAYS:
I in them (God’s Children..Christians)
and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that THOU hast sent me, and hast Loved Them, AS THOU HAST LOVED ME.....
Right there people tonight...
We need to take hold of this fact that God
Our Heavenly Father doesn’t Love Jesus any more than He loves Us....
If we can just accept this one truth tonight
It can and will make all the difference in the world in how you live your life.....
THINK ABOUT THIS....
If God loves you as much as He loves Jesus Christ then, You never have to be afraid of life’s problems....
Romans 8:31 says:
IF GOD BE FOR US WHO CAN
BE AGAINST US?.....
So what can man do to a child of The
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS....
The Father is loving and protecting us.....
And The Father was for His Son Jesus
as He walked upon the earth...
And Guess What????
He is for you and me toooo!!!!!!!
John 16:32 says:
Behold the hour cometh, yea, is now come that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am Not Alone, Because the Father is with Me...
Jesus was trying his best to tell His disciples,
Your are all gonna leave me and be scattered.......
And they did scatter too when those Romans nailed him to the cross
But guess what HE WAS NOT ALONE....
The Heavenly Father was always with Him
and He’s always with you too....
And if Jesus can say that then
You and I can say it too!!!!
Cause God loves us just as
He loved Jesus!!!!!
So Whenever a test or trial comes along, then you can say...I’m not alone...
My God, is Always With Me....
If all my Family and Friends forsake me
then guess what I’m not alone
Because my Father in Heaven is with me...
Some People will start feeling sorry for themselves if their friends or family forsake them....
I’ve been there...oooohhhhh we’ll have us a good ole pity party....
And we’ll think...Nobody love’s me....
But that just ain’t true....
People who begin to think this way
need to get acquainted with this man Named Jesus....We need to get acquainted with God through His Word...
And always remember that God loves us..
And He promised that He’ll never leave us and never forsake us....
Here’s some very important verses that we need to grab a hold of and hang onto for dear life.....
1st Peter 5:7 - 8 says:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you....
AND Listen to this one....VS. 8
Be Sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Get rid of your doubt and fear’s....
Follow God’s word and I mean closely...
Cast all your cares upon Him
Just think of the difference there would
be in peoples lives if they would just
follow a few simple scriptures.....
Tonight we have Victory.....
Victory in Jesus....
Will you come tonight and cast all your
cares upon HIM......
Come tonight and get acquainted
with GOD!!!!!!
