Timely Revelation
Timely Restoration
The story is told that after Helen Keller’s teacher, Anne Sullivan, had given her the names of physical objects in sign language, Miss Sullivan attempted to explain God and tapped out the symbols for the name "God." Much to Miss Sullivan’s surprise, Helen spelled back, "Thank you for telling me God’s name, Teacher, for he has touched me many times before." Helen Keller knew something of God’s signature from nature, but it was wordless. Source Unknown.
We all have the understanding of God, will you come to accept and understand HIS revelations in and for your life and all mankind?
Timely Revelation
[25] For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. [26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: Romans 11:25-26
God’s great revelation about Israel is now made known.
The word “mystery” in the Bible is not used as most use the word, as something mysterious or difficult to understand. A Biblical mystery means that...
·something that was unknown is now revealed.
·something that was hidden is now made known.
·something that was a secret is now told.
God reveals to all who will hear: that we not be ignorant of Israel’s future, and that we not be wise in our own conceit. We Gentiles need be careful that we do not…
Þ become guilty of looking down upon Israel. You see we face the danger of becoming puffed up, thinking that we are more acceptable to God because of our relationship with Jesus, becoming prideful and arrogant.
Þ begin to think that our individual idea of Israel’s destiny is correct and that we might have a full understanding of the truth. The danger of becoming “wise in [our] own conceits.”
Israel’s blindness is only partial, only “in part.”
Some Israelites followed Christ in His day and throughout the centuries.
There have always been and will be some Israelites who believe. Israel’s blindness is only partial.
Israel’s blindness is only temporary.
Only “until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.”
Now what does this event mean? The fulness of the Gentiles can mean...
·a certain number of Gentile converts are to be saved, to fill up the “cut off branches of Israel” (Romans 11:17-21).
·the end of the Gentile age, a time when the emphasis of salvation will no longer be upon the Gentiles, but upon the Jews.
·the end of the Gentile age, a time when God will rapture the church (all believers) and cause a revival among the Jews who will then become the primary witnesses for Him.
The blindness of Israel will be removed.
“All Israel shall be saved.”
Þ Israel’s blindness is only temporary.
Þ The restoration of Israel is a surety.
Þ Israel shall experience a revival.
Þ Israel shall turn to God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
God offers HOPE to every person.
1)A person’s blindness to Jesus is only partial. If we live, we can turn to Christ.
2)A person’s blindness is temporary only if we turn to Jesus. Unless a person believes and commits their life to Christ, they are lost forever.
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19).
“[God] who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Col. 1:13-14).
“Our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (2 Tim. 1:10).
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:5-7).
Timely Restoration
For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. [28] As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. Romans 11:27-28
Scripture confirms a timely restoration of Israel.
Jesus Christ HIMSELF, will turn Israel.
Scripture gives us a glimpse…Just how it will come about we do not know...other than we must “go”…
Christ the Deliverer will cause Israel to turn to the gospel.
“For I say unto you [Israel], Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 23:39).
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you [Israel]: whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).
“Blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in” (Romans 11:25).
“But their minds [Israel] were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it [Israel] shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away” (2 Cor. 3:14-16).
“By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged” (literally to take away their sin) (Isaiah 27:9).
“I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more” (Jeremiah 31:31-34).
The great Deliverer, Jesus Christ, will do two things for Israel.
Jesus will turn away ungodliness from Israel.
By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. Isaiah 27:9
Jesus Christ will fulfill God’s covenant with Israel:
As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever. Isaiah 59:21
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38).
“Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins” (Acts 5:31).
“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins” (Acts13:38).
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephes. 1:7).
“I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins” (Isaiah 43:25).
Microsoft has formally launched the final revision of its Windows operating system for PCs. It’s called Windows "Me"—short for Windows Millennial Edition. One feature of Windows Me that has caused a stir is its new "system restore" feature. How does it work? Suppose you suffer a system crash on your computer this Thursday. You’re not a computer expert, and you don’t know how to recover the last two weeks of financial information you entered Wednesday, your daughter’s history report she started writing Monday, or your favorite game. All you have to do is select "system restore" and specify the date to which you want your machine reset. Voila! Problem solved. All the things you somehow messed up are put back in their configuration as of that earlier day. Wouldn’t you like to market that feature for human lives? Do you think you could supply it fast enough to keep up with the demand? Bob would "system restore" to the day before he began the affair. Sue would go back to the day before she tampered with payroll data. Ivan would choose the day before the big fight that caused his son to run away from home. Maybe you can remember the day when things crashed for you—and you’d give anything you own to restore things to the way they were. God won’t erase all the consequences of our actions, but he promises things far better: to forgive us, to work for the highest good even through what is bad, and one day to make all things new. What Windows Me calls "system restore" God calls redemption. Ryan Johnson
