One of the most precious things God gave mankind is life. If we would take time to look around not at people but at the things created by God we will see that in all of His creations He has placed life. Life in the trees themselves; life in the grass itself; life in the water; life in the air. . . this is why people like the spring and summer months those months magnify the life in God’s creations. In the spring and summer months we get to see life as God created it to be; we see life as God intended it to be at its highest peak in all of its wonder and magnificent glory.
Unfortunately there are destroyers of life; trees have diseases that destroy the life in them; you can find dead grass; dead birds (life in the air); dead fish and whales and so on (life in the water). And yes there is a destroyer of the life of a man. That destroyer is man himself, there are more men, women, boys and girls destroying their own lives then there are murderers of mankind. How are they destroying themselves – by listening to Satan and all of his workers of evil.
I want to make a plea to you today; please. . . . don’t destroy your life. God gave you life to enjoy; He did not mean for you to put it in the hands of another man or woman who has NO compassion or concern for you, more or less for your life. Those who are just concern with filthy lucre as the bible calls it, lucre meaning monetary gain. You can’t keep putting your life in the hands of those who do not embrace the value of your life, one way or the other. When they look at you they should see more than just someone helping to keep them in a job, helping to keep their status with their peers, helping them to keep money in their pockets; or looking at you as a way of keep provisions in their lives. This is Satan’s way of making or keeping your life miserable in a terrible state. There are two things Satan desires out of a miserable life; 1) for you to hate your life. . . . one of the greatest creations of God; and 2) for you to believe God does not care about you. In the name of Jesus I speak that your eyes open to these trick of the enemy and for God’s wisdom to come in concerning this mystery.
John 10:10 says:
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The thief in this scripture is Satan. He comes to kill, steal and destroy every good thing God has created. Any spirit, person or thing that does not promote life is considered to be evil and an enemy in the eyes of the Lord. In John 10:10 the Lord is saying He came to promote life in a more abundant way. Abundant meaning marked by great plenty (as of resources). Don’t be so willing to loose your most precious gift to the thief. Don’t fool yourself Satan does not really want it; he just don’t want God to have it. In eternity your life will have no value to him; but in eternity with God your life will give God GLORY and PRAISE.
Matthew 24:42-44 (King James Version)
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
In other words if the owner of the house (you of your life) had known when the thief (Satan) was coming you would be ready. But since you don’t know how Satan will try to destroy your life you have to be watchful; knowing that every evil thing you do opens the door for Satan to ruin your life. There are two things that would be awful for any person – to live in hell on earth and then live in hell for eternity. It is sad to say for many the return of Christ will be like a thief entering into their homes and there will be nothing they can do about it.
I have said this before VALUE YOUR LIFE. Don’t put it in the hands of the wrong spirit (Satan) He does his deeds through people just as the Lord does His deeds through people. There is a saying used today “think outside the box”; when we are living our lives according to the rules and instructions of God we can not afford to think outside the box. When we began to operate outside the box we are in the enemy’s territory. We are operating in the dark. We would be like a person feeling and fumbling our way through the dark hoping not to get hurt. When you can’t see by the light you are in the mist of danger. John 8:12 (Amplified Bible) reads like this:
12 Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life.
It’s like the game of Monopoly; the person who created that game made rules and gave instruction. Now if you play Monopoly any other way then by the rules and instructions given in the game you are not playing monopoly. If you change one little thing about the game you are no longer playing Monopoly. You can consider yourself in this situation as outside of the box; in order to play the game you must be inside the box. Inside meaning within the rules and regulations, you can’t go by what is considered the normal course if it is not in line with the rules and regulations. I am saying this because God set up rules and regulations when He created this world. For instance only apples will grow on an apple tree. No other fruit will grow on an apple tree. If that apple tree doesn’t produce apples it will not produce anything that is a fruit.
The same is for the course God has chosen for our lives. The fruit God has purposed in our lives will not grow unless we are operating within the rules and regulations He has set for that fruit (in our lives) to grow. Which means we must stay within the box if we want the fruit (blessing) God has purposed in our lives. Being outside the box is darkness (confusion, lick of understanding, no peace and a host of other things) but inside the box there is light (understanding, peace, unity, joy, happiness and a host of other things). What is that light; John 8:12 teaches the light is Jesus. And the promise Jesus made is “He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life.”
For those who say yes and obey our Father, what a wonderful promise. With a promise like this if we are in the dark it is because we want to be in the dark.
