Loving “THE WAY”
The Apostle Paul ended Chapter 12 of 1st
Corinthians sayin: But covet earnestly the best
Gifts: and yet show I unto you a more
Excellent way!!
Many folks today feel that Paul is showing us how
To administer the Gifts properly and that is
IN LOVE!!!! AMEN.
The Bible says without love we have nothing!!
We have to understand that no matter how
Gifted we are – and no matter how successful
Our Ministry is – And no matter how close to
God we are – there is one guide that we will
have to follow – otherwise we will probably
just be wasting our time !
And that of course IS LOVE!!!
You see we are just a little biddy spoke in the
Great big wheel of salvation – In order to do
The work of God we just need to let the
Holy Spirit lead us and guide us!!
Gods Holy Spirit will use us in whatever way
Or will have us being used with what ever gifts
He chooses best for us at the time!
And there ain’t no superstar’s involved.
EXCEPT FOR THE ALMIGHTY GOD!!!
AND THAT’S THE MAIN INGREDIENT!
Each spiritual gift is just as good or just as
Important as the next one even if its not
standing out from All the others!!!
Chapter 13 of 1st Corinthians is a pretty famous
Book of the Holy Bible, Its often read at
Weddings!
People what our world needs today is Love!!!
And I mean TRUE LOVE!!!!
LETS ALL STAND FOR THE READING
OF GOD’S WORD!!!
1ST CORINTHIANS 13:1-13
listen to me tonight folks
No matter what I can do with God
And No matter what you can do with God,
Healing, Miracles or anything else you can do or
think of without love it is meaningless!
And further no matter how much knowledge I
Have and no matter how much knowledge you
Have. And no matter how much wisdom we
Speak with it doesn’t mean anything at all
Unless we do it with LOVE!!
You see its not just good enough to hear it Preached
and its just not good enough to Hear it in the songs!
And its just not good enough to hear it taught in
Sunday School!!!!!
It’s a Life style folks listen its simply called LOVE!!
We have to just live it out
And we can’t just celebrate it in Church
We have to put it into motion
We have to demonstrate it
We have to share it with others
We have to share it at home with our families
We have to share it at work with our work families
We have to share it at church with our church families!!!
Kids have to share it while they’re playing!!!!!!
We have to carry it with us where-ever we go!!
Folks we have to eat it
And we have to drink it
And we have to breathe it
We just plainly HAVE TO LIVE IT!!!!!!
TONIGHT PEOPLE IT’S CALLED
LOVING “THE WAY”
PROVERBS 10:12 SAYS:
Hatred stirreth up strife’s: but love covereth all sins!!
We can have natural Love!!!
Like the love between parents and children
Like for Example:
If my daughter is having a bad day because
Her friend which She loves has abandoned her
And she’s very unhappy!!!
She’d probably say something like
NOBODY LOVES ME!!!!
And I would say but honey I love You
She’d probably say something like
WELL YOU HAVE TO LOVE ME!!!!
Well why do I have to love you?
She’d say cause you’re my dad!!!
Between family – Love is already
Automatically there!!!
But no matter how much you give of yourself
You can be the Humblest most giving person
In the world, BUT
If you’re not flowing with God’s Love
Then your efforts are worthless!!!
1st John 4:8 says
he that loveth not, knoweth not God
FOR GOD IS LOVE!!!!
Its surely a waste if its outside the realm
of God’s love
turn with me to 2nd Timothy Chap 3 :1-5
this know also, that in the last days perilous
times shall come!
For Men shall be lovers of their own selves,
Covetous, Boasters, Proud, Blasphemers,
Disobedient to Parents – Unthankful – Unholy
Without natural affection, Trucebreakers
False Accusers, Incontinent, Fierce, Despisers
Of Those that are Good!
Traitors, Heady High-minded, Lovers of Pleasures
More than Lovers of God!
Having a form of Godliness but Denying
The Power Thereof: from such turn away
Everything we strive for today!!!
Who we want to be
WHAT WE WANT TO DO
HOW WE WANT PEOPLE TO THINK OF US
WE SHOULD BE ASKING THIS QUESTION –
WITH EVERY MOVE –
AM I DOING THIS WITH LOVE???
Only a person who truly has Jesus and His
Holy Spirit living in His heart can express
This Kind of LOVE!!
TRUE LOVE IS KIND AND PATIENT
TRUE LOVE DOESN’T ENVY OR BOAST
TRUE LOVE ISN’T PROUD OR RUDE
TRUE LOVE ISN’T EASILY ANGERED
TRUE LOVE ISN’T HOLDING GRUDGES
AND TRUE LOVE ISN’T DELIGHTING IN EVIL!!
AND LISTEN TO THIS ONE
TRUE LOVE KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS
HOW MANY OF US TONIGHT NEVER EVER
KEEP ANY RECORD OF ANY WRONGS???
LOVE IS PROTECTING AND TRUSTING
LOVE IS ALWAYS HOPEFUL
TRUE LOVE NEVER FAILS
Listen to a passage that’s telling us to be patient
And to wait upon the Lord
Peter tells it so well here
1st Peter 5:6 says:
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty
Hand of God that He may exalt you
In Due Time!!!
So wait out your trouble and don’t strike out to adversity
Don’t have a short fuse
And always remember Not to become Frustrated
Easily
(MAN THAT’S ONE OF MY WORST ONES)
its just gonna cause your Blood Pressure to
become elevated and that’s just not healthy!!
Love is how you deal with others
And How you Deal with Life or
Your relationship to yourself
And Most Important,
Love is your Relationship with God!!
Galatians 5:26 says:
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking
One another envying one another
There’s gonna be many times in our walk in
This life that there will be situations where
Our love is tested for endurance.
Like when we have a wayward child who goes
Beyond the bounds of what’s acceptable
Who nearly completely ruins their lives and
Not to mention those lives around them
Who love them un-conditionally.
But does your love ever stop toward them?
Do you ever really reach the point where
Your love for them stops?
Or you wish you didn’t ever see them again??
MY ANSWER WOULD BE NO NO NO NO!!!
SO YOU SEE TRUE LOVE ENDURES ALL THINGS!!!!!
We have to wait under God’s big Hand for
Everything
And to often we get in to big of a hurry
And we don’t want to wait!!!!
1st Corinthians 10:33 says:
even as I please all men in all things
not seeking mine own profit, but the
profit of many, that they may be saved!!
Way to often we think first
WHATS IN IT FOR ME?
PAUL tells us here not my profit
But the profit of many – and reminds us
What its all about
That many will be saved
That’s the most important thing of all
To see as many saved as we can
From the devil’s hell tonight
I don’t want to see anybody spend eternity
In hell tonight that was originally made for
Satin and his fallen angels!!!
Tonight Folks all this business about True Love
Isn’t something magical or something that will happen overnight or at the snap of your finger
Love is something that grows!!!
And right now the most important thing is
To Love and Trust God!!! AMEN
Ephesians 4:32 says
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
Forgiving one another, even as God for
Christ’s sake hath forgiven you!!!
Seek the best for those around you
Seek the best IN Those around you
And seek the best for you and your relationship
With God!!!
Then help everyone that knows God
Keep their Lives closer to God!!!
To many times we will try to apply God’s
Word to others but not to ourselves.
(I’M BAD FOR THIS ONE TOO!!)
so many times people will think that they are exceptions to the rule that - All have sinned
and come short of the Glory of God!!!
How is it that we sit through preaching
Or Beautiful singing that’s so meaningful
And we’re never touched by the holy spirit?
Could it be that we are lying And not
Loving.
The Bible says to Pray without Ceasing!!!!!
When we begin to lie to ourselves and to God,
The Spirit leaves us!!!
Its impossible for us to live in Sin but try to
Convince everyone around us that everything
Is just fine and we’re on our way to Gloryland
We can’t live for our neighbors trying to make
Them think that We are living Holy!!!!
If you want to go to Heaven then you have to
Live for God
You have to Live to Please God!!!
You have to live Christ Like
That’s what Christian Means!!!!!!
When we begin to read the Word of God and it
Starts to convict us and we begin to not like what
Were reading!!
That’s the inspiration of the Word!!
It points out all the Bad Stuff right along
With the Good Stuff!!!!
When we read stuff like the Book of Galations
Where it tells us
Idolatry, Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness
Sedition’s, Hatred, envyings, Drunkenness
And such like
SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM
OF GOD!!!
And we start feeling convicted
This is God’s Holy Spirit trying to bring
Us back to Repentance!!!!!
We need to be Loving and not Lying!!!!!
And if were lying then we sure don’t
need to try to make God out of a Liar!!!!!
This is where your gonna start seeing
Your Spirit start declining and the
Only thing that’s gonna turn it around is an
Old Fashioned Altar down on bended knees
And an Humbled Heart With face buried in Prayer!!!!! CAN SOMEBODY SAY AMEN??
People listen to me tonight
We have to be so careful and stay prayed up
We have to stay watching out for the snares of
The devil!!
We have to remain Humble No Matter What!!!
What if you layed your hands on someone
And God Healed them through you??
The devil would have your mind working overtime
You would begin to start feeling pretty special
About yourself wouldn’t you??
Your whole focus and vision if your not careful
Would begin to change from the purpose
Of the spiritual Gifts
It would change to the basic selfishness that your
Flesh posses along with guidance from satan!!!
Remember what John 3:16 says tonight:
For God so loved the world that He gave His
Only begotten son
That whosoever believeth in him should not
Perish but have everlasting life!!!!
And remember tonight that love doesn’t
Happen overnight
LOVE GROWS!!!!
And Don’t expect fireworks to go off when
You show Love
But expect Lives to Change and Grow
WHEN YOU DO
Always remember that Faith goes along with Love
Faith and Love wont always get us what we want
But it will get us what God wants us to have
Faith puts God between us and
Our circumstances
And remember if you need something from God
HE LIKES TO BE ASKED!!!
Its one of the ways He Humbles us
James said You have Not because You Ask Not!!
Jesus said in Matthew 7:7
Ask and it shall be given you
Seek and ye shall find
Knock and it shall be opened unto you!!!
WHAT IS YOUR NEED TONIGHT??
Church God’s love tonight is REAL
AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE LOVED
God demonstrated the ultimate Love to us!!!
He sent his only Son Jesus to die
And shed His life’s Blood for our sins
On the cross at calvary
And as they continued to persecute Him
Even while still on the cross
He still said these words
Father forgive them for they know not
What they do!!!
He’s a forgiving God and He will forgive you
Tonight
No matter what you’ve done you’ll be forgiven!!
Will you come tonight and give it all to Jesus
He gave it all for You and for Me
When a sinner comes to God with a broken heart
Believing and trusting in the Lord Jesus
God freely pardons him
It’s the privilege tonight for every Christian
To know that his sins are forgiven for the sake
Of JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!
2nd Timothy 1:9 says:
Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy
Calling
Not according to our works, but according
To his own purpose and grace,
Which was given us in Christ Jesus before
the world began
James Chap 5 says
Is any sick among you?
Let him call for the elders of the church
And let them pray over him
Anointing him with oil in
The Name of The Lord!!!
