BEWARE
2nd Thess Chap 2
In today’s world We have to be prepared
for what Could happen at any second!!!
THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS
CHRIST!
Or the Rapture- Or The Great Tribulation!
Our English Bible’s don’t use the word Rapture,
But we all know what it means when we hear
Things like – The coming of the Lord or – The
Falling Away!!!
Today we have to BEWARE
We have to Beware of Deceit!!!
We have to Beware of Defection from the Truth!
We have to Beware of Persecution!!
We have to Beware of False Teachings!!
We have to Beware of Worldliness!!
We have to Beware of Inadequate Worship!!
We have to Beware of Un-belief!!!
And it goes On and On
I could probably preach on this for several hours
But I’ll try not to!!! Starting w/ Deceit
MATT CHAP 24:4&5 tells us in words of Jesus
Take heed that no man deceive you
For many shall come in my name saying I am
Christ; and shall deceive many.
This scripture is referring to the false
messiahs
Who have already spanned in the church
history
And led many (and God only knows
how many)
Right directly to the gates of Hell and its
Happening Right now under our Noses,
and they are trying
To lead everyone that they can today as
We speak!!!
And you can be assured that your Name
and My name is on the List
We must fight this Deceit!!!
We only need to take a stand for the truth
JOHN CHAP 8 SAYS:
And ye shall know the Truth and the Truth
Shall set you free!!!
Beware of The Defection from the Truth
Or could also be persecution!!
Matthew chap 24: 9&10 says
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted,
And Shall Kill you – and Ye shall be hated
of all Nations for my names sake
And then shall many be offended – and shall
Betray one another, and shall hate one another!
We can expect to be persecuted when we
Stand On the word of God!!
We are the ones that are considered the
Occult These days – Christians – some
may call us
Jesus Freaks!!!
There’s not to many of us left in this
ole cruel world
This morning if Every Church in the
Nation were
Full to capacity it would only be 3 % of
The Population of the United States,
Only 3%
And the Pastors are afraid to preach the
Truth, in Fear that they will lose their
position In the
Church, or lose what followers they
do have!! So they tickle everyone’s
ears and preach what
The Congregation wants to hear instead of
what they need to hear THE PURE WORD
OF GOD
They’ll say Well that preacher preached
right at
Me today and I don’t think I’m going
Back Anymore, He don’t like me anyway!!!!!
If you hear the truth and then run then you
Must be working for Satan!!!
And there are so many beautiful churches
and They only have one church service
per week – just long enough to pass the
offering plate and they give God 20 or 30
minutes to give everyone a blessing!!!!!
Excuse Me!!!!! It don’t work like that
It’s Like – OK God we’ve sung a couple of
praises now
And its almost noon so you gotta hurry
We are going out to eat hurry!!!!!!!!
I sure don’t believe it like that
We need to give God time….
Our blessings are gonna come in his
time not ours
And besides we will give God time
Anyway Whether its here in church or
in a hospital bed
Or maybe even something worse!!!!!
Then We have to beware of False Teachers
MATTHEW 24;11 SAYS:
And many false prophets shall rise, and
Shall deceive many!!!!!
We have false prophets and teachers
Worldwide They are giving people
prophecies and hoping
For 75% come true’s
If God really gives you a prophecy
about something You won’t have
To hope for a 75% come true margin
If its really from God all of it will come
True I heard a story about a Pastor –
someone came
To him and said Pastor God told me
to preach for You today – The Pastor
said well that’s funny
God told me to Preach today too!!!!!
Do you understand what I’m telling
You They’re EveryWhere!!!!!
2nd PETER CHAP 2; 1&2 SAYS
but there were false prophets also
among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers
among you
who privily shall bring in damnable
heresies
and many shall follow their pernicious
(destructive)
ways by reason of whom the way
of truth shall be
evil spoken of!!!!
I have a greater fear of God than that!!
Another thing to Beware of is Temptation!
Be ready because satan will be there waiting
For a weak second and tempt us
LUKE CHAP 8:13 SAYS:
They on the Rock are they, which
when they hear, receive the word
with joy; and these have
No root, which for a while believe,
and in time
Of temptation fall away!!
After Jesus was baptised, he was
led into the
Wilderness and was tempted by
the devil for
Forty days and nights – But Jesus
resisted the Devil
And that’s what we must do
JAMES 4:7 SAYS:
Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the Devil, and He will flee
from you
Its gonna take a lot of prayer and a
lot of Faith
For us to be Resistive to Satan
We gotta kick his Butt Out The Door
1ST PETER 5:8 SAYS
Be Sober – Be Vigilant, because your
Adversary The Devil, As a roaring lion,
walketh about
Seeking whom He may Devour!!!!
He’s waiting to jump on our backs
HE WANTS OUR SOULS!!!!!
And if we’re not careful He will
Slip in our backdoors!!!!
Then there’s worldliness
2ND TIMOTHY 4;4 SAYS;
And they shall turn away their ears
from the Truth, and shall be turned
unto Fables (or Myths)
See the word of God even tells us
that Teachers Will appeal to people
and not God!!!! They’ll tell people
just what they want to hear
And not what they need to hear!!!!
I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT
I REFUSE TO WAIVER FROM THE
WORD OF GOD!!!!!!
Worldliness is waivering from the word
of God, I use to play worldly music
But not any more
My cousins son plays worldly music
And He said How is This worldly??
I said is it of God??
He said---Well NO!!!
I said Then its of the World – How many Times
Have you heard a preacher say NO LUKEWARM
YOU CAN’T STRADDLE THE FENCE
YOU GOTTA BE EITHER COLD OR HOT
REV 3;16 SAYS
So then because thou art lukewarm
and Neither Cold nor Hot – I will
spue thee out of my mouth!
I AIN’T GONNA GET SPUE’D
I’ve got my key to the gate shined up
I want the Lord to say when I get there!!!!
WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL
SERVANT – COME ON IN!!!!!
Then there’s Inadequate Worship
I know some who is guilty of this!!!!!
I won’t mention any names!!!!!
HEBREW 10;25 SAYS;
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
Together, as the manner of some is; but
Exhorting One another; and so much
the more as ye See the day approaching.
This is speaking of more than Erratic
Attendance. It involves the Entire worship
Of Jesus Christ.
Its an outward indication of an inner condition!!
When saints gather together and worship
It provides opportunity for encouragement
And strength.
And it stirs up the Spirit of God.
Its about participation in worship.
And not to mention fellowship!!!
Don’t you just love to hear someone Testify??
Don’t you just love it when some one
has a Praise?
THIS IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT CHURCH!!!
If you don’t have it or feel it, then you need
To search your soul and pray
And seek out what you are doing wrong!!!!
When you get a blessing let it run on over to
The people beside you!!!!
You might not just get a blessing
You might get a big surprise!!!!!!
Some may have Inadequate knowledge
Of Christ
1st John 2:19 says:
they went out from us
but they were not of us
for if they had been of us
they would no
doubt have continued with us!!
Or maybe you’ve had Moral lapse,
Hebrews 6- 4-6 says
For it is impossible for those who
Were once enlightened, and have
Tasted of the heavenly gift
And were made partakers of the
Holy Ghost
And have tasted the good
Word of God and the powers
Of the world to come!!
People this don’t mean that you
Have this once in grace always
In grace that some denominations
Preach
There ain’t no such thing as eternal
Salvation or once in grace always in
Grace
It is once in grace always in grace
But if you fall out of grace you
Are a dis-grace!
THEN LAST THERE’S UN-BELIEF
There’s not any of us with un-belief here is there??
We all have brief moments of un-belief
That’s satan playing with our minds
Remember he’s on our back
But in the Name of Jesus Christ he will have to go!
Hebrew chap 3 says
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you
An evil heart of unbeleif, In departing from the
Living God;
But exhort one another daily, while it is called today
Lest any of you be hardened through the
Deceitfulness of sin!!!
This is telling us to depart from God if we have
Un-belief in our hearts
This depart would be a deliberate departure from
God’s revelation on our part
These Hebrew Brethren were tempted by evil
To return to Judaism
In doing so they would have to reject the
Fuller revelation they had received in Christianity
And go back to the not so full and in-complete
Life of Judaism
But they were asked to exhort another day
With the truth that will strengthen their
Faith in Jesus Christ!!!!
Listen to me people
If you are a Minister
You are a part of the watchmen
The ones who we call anti-Christ
Shouldn’t be a threat to us
Because if we study God’s word
We already know that these things
Must come to pass!!!
MARK CHAP 9 SAYS
Lord I believe – Help thou mine Unbelief
If you experience un-belief you better hit your
Knees wide open or you might hit hell wide open
The gates of hell are being enlarged as we speak
The gates to heaven are narrow
MATTHEW 7:14 SAYS;
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is
the way
Which leadeth unto life
And few there be that find it!!!!!
I pray we find it!!!
we have to resist these things we’ve spoken of
Tonight and serve God!!!!
Hebrews 10:29 says
Of how much sorer punishment
Suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy
Who hath trodden under foot
The Son of God
And hath counted the blood of the
Covenant, wherewith he was
Sanctified, an un-holy thing
And hath done despite unto the
Spirit of grace!
This warning is for the saved tonight
As well as the un-saved!!!
Turn to Collossians Chap 3; 12-17
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
Forbearing one another and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body and be ye thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord!!!
Grave, If we Serve God
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord!!!
