There Is Nothing Back There!

This message I am going to preach today is going to require the help of you and your neighbor. So if you don’t have a neighbor near by then go sit by someone.
Now how many knows when Brother Robert preaches he doesn’t hold anything back so what I say lands where it may. You can accept it or reject it. But if it lines up with the word then you better believe it and receive it and abide by it. And you can’t get mad at the messenger get mad at the sender. So with that said:
Turn around and tell your neighbor I’m gonna help that preacher preach and if whatever he says hits me in the face and it is the word of God then I will have to measure myself up to the word!
Gen 19:17-26
17. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
18. And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
19. Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20. Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21. And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23. The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24. Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
25. And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
The Worse battle we fight is in the mind. Some Christians think that we have a time machine ant that we can go back to the past when we want to and when we return back we think things will be the same, but when we come back our future will be destroyed. If you live in the past you will never be the person you are suppose to be in your future.

Luke 9:62
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
• So many times we hinder our future by reflecting on our past.
• The past has nothing to do with your destiny; but your future has everything to do with it.
• The problem with most Christians is they remember too much about the past and forget everything about their future.
• You can’t see your future looking backwards but you can both see and receive it looking forwards.
• Looking at the pas will destroy you; looking at the future will revive you.
When you go back to the past you are alone and the devil can use you anyway he wants. God can’t destroy your past till you leave it behind and God can’t go back to your past because he can’t see past the bloodline. Your sins are not covered they are gone. You are no longer who you were in the past. God only sees the day you were re-borne.
II Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The Devil wants to keep you in your past to destroy you. When he reminds you of your past remind him of his future.
God has something Better for you than your past; YOUR FUTURE so stop looking back THERE IS NOTHING BACK THERE!
Phil. 3:12-14
12. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
If you have been torn down in your past if you will stop looking at your past God can rebuild you.
Jeremiah 16:1-6
1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
• Maybe the devil has you looking back and all of you past hardships and failures and he has placed hatred and anger in your heart.
• You can’t seem to get any closer to God I want you to know that you need to stop looking backwards and ask God to TEAR YOU DOWN AND REBUILD YOU.
• The same God who built you of the spiritual materials of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, and meekness.
• Is the same God who can rebuild you and restore you back to that!
• If he rebuilds you will no longer be marred (battered or Destroyed) again because he will harden you and complete you.
If you keep looking back the bible plainly states that if you look back that you are not fit for the kingdom of Heaven.
Matthew7: 13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
If you want to Travel the Straight Road then you can’t look back
If you keep returning back to your past and talking about it you are considered a fool. The bible says in,
Proverbs 26:11
As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
Lord you gonna get me in trouble
The main reason that most Christians return back to the past is because some lovely saint of God reminds them of there past or what someone has done to them in the past. These people are called busybodies.
Turn and tell someone I don’t want to be one of those. They are the devils hardest workers.
Turn and tell someone if you’re a busybody then I don’t want to talk to you. You an’t good for me and my Christian walk.
Tell your neighbor I’m not interested in the past only the future cause the past don’t matter anymore. All my past hurts don’t matter, all my past sickness don’t matter, all my past enemies don’t matter anymore, all my past hatred don’t matter anymore, most of all, all my past sin don’t matter anymore.
Turn and tell your neighbor don’t bother to call me and want to talk about someone cause I an’t gonna listen. (Tell about the preacher and his answering machine)
Turn and tell your neighbor don’t bother to call me and expect to talk about the bad things that happened 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 years ago. Because I ain’t gonna listen.
I will tell you right now there ain’t any need in calling Bro. Robert to talk about someone cause Bro. Robert will bring that other person into the picture. NO one is to be left in the dark. All the cards have to be laid out on the table.
We don’t let things ride around here as Barney Fife says “We Nip it in the Bud!” If you have problems with someone go to that person not your neighbor or your phone buddy. It is our tongues that get us into trouble, those long slippery, wet tongues that can reach 1,000 miles on the telephone or internet.
There’s no time for Gossip or Busybodies in the church. There’s no time for hate, envy, strife, malice, or greed. This church is built on love and nothing is going to tear it down. Love is Built to Last, it is Built Ford Tuff, and it is Like a Rock. Love over comes a multitude of sins! Love over looks the bad and gets to the good. Love gets rid of the past and never brings it up again. The Past is the Past and it needs to stay in the Past.
1 Tim 5:13 says:
13. …that there are tattlers and busybodies who speak things that ought not to be spoken.
Some things just don’t need to be talked about. If you know that somebody has been hurt by a certain person then you don’t need to bring up the past to that person. If you do you can become just a murderer
1 Pet. 4:15 says:
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
We are in a new work and old things are past away. The past doesn’t need to be brought into the present. The past is what destroys the future. You come here to start over brand new, to have a NEW LIFE, but you can’t live in the past to have a NEW LIFE your still holding on to the old life the Past life. Get it into vision that there is Nothing Back There and everything you need is full speed ahead.
Matthew 7:24
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
