It’s not a Secret
ACTS 26:26
Its not a secret what God can do tonight!
It’s no secret what He’s done for other people.
Nor is it a secret what He’s done for you
And He can and will do it for you!!!
And It’ll be with arms wide open
He’ll forgive you and Me For EVERYTHING!
Many many years ago, the Apostle Paul
said this same thing but in different words.
He was before King Agrippa, and He preached
God’s word. And it was a powerful sermon.
He told of his failures in his life, and how
He was totally against Christ in the beginning,
just like You and I have been!!
And He said the King knows about these things’
they weren’t done in a corner!
He was simply saying that God has done
some wonderful things!
And it ain’t no secret what God did.
He revealed all these things to men!!!
Do you know where to go to learn about
this stuff.
Where can we find the revelation of what
God has done?
You won’t find it in this world.
Even though God is revealed here.
God’s footprints are everywhere you look.
They are on every mountain
and in every stream, and every ocean.
God’s handiwork is so easy to see in
the Sun and The Moon and The Stars.
You can see Him in every tree and every
flower and each blade of grass.
But do you know where you can find
God’s most wonderful work of all???
THE BIBLE!!!
The Holy Spirit reveals everything to us
in God’s word.
And what is the greatest thing revealed to
us in the Holy Bible???
JESUS CHRIST!!!
The Bible is full of the things concerning
Jesus Christ!
He’s in the center of the Bible
He’s the subject of the Bible.
He’s the one who walks up & down every page
and leaps out at us in every paragraph!!!
And of all those in the Old Testament who
prophesied about Jesus,
No doubt Isaiah was one of the greatest!!
He told how Jesus was gonna be born
and how He would live and how
He would die.
Isaiah 7:14 says:
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you
a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive,
and bear a son, and shall call his
name Immanuel!!
God made man in his own image.
But we all know what happened
Man failed, He sinned. He broke
the laws of God.
Therefore he became subject to the penalty
of a broken law!
But God loved him and wanted to save
him from this penalty!
So God made the plan.
He would send his own son,
to this world, to shed his blood and DIE,
for the sins of man.
But how would he get here into this world.
God couldn’t send him as a grown man.
He would send him in the womb of a virgin.
And he would start as man did.
He would grow up as we did.
So He would know all the sorrows
and all the pains, and all the woes,
and He would experience all the trials
and temptations just as we do!!
God felt he would need to know these things
so that he could fully sympathize with us!!
So the prophecy of the virgin birth was given.
And finally the hour arrived for the Savior
to be born.
And God chose the virgin Mary to bring
His Son into the world.
But this woman Mary wasn’t to be worshiped,
NO
She wasn’t supposed to be the mediator,
between God and man,
She was simply the human instrument
that Brought God’s Son into the world!!
Then You all know the story about
God sending an angel to tell Mary
and Joseph that the Virgin Mary
was gonna be giving birth, To
The Savior of the world!!!!
Luke 1:38 says:
Behold the hand maid of the Lord;
be it unto me according to thy word!!!
Billions and Billions have been born but
people there’s never been a birth like this one.
Adam was the first man
and He committed sin.
And From Adam right on down to the last
man that will be born on this earth, Will SIN!!
But, here standing above all other men born
in this world Jesus Christ stood above all men
He was and is the God Man.
He’s Perfect in Every way.
He never sinned.
He never had even a thought of sinning.
He never spoke a sinful word!
He never did a sinful deed.
And this is the difference that makes Jesus
The Man of all Men!!!
Romans 3:23 says:
All have sinned and come short
of the Glory of God!!
But in Jesus Christ there was no sin.
But Jesus’ life was a rebuke for the men of
his time.
They couldn’t accept the fact that He was
The Son of God.
It made them angry, they wanted to kill him.
But they couldn’t find him guilty of any wrong.
But they trumped up some charges
so they could destroy him.
And the death of Jesus Christ was no secret.
It took place on that hill called Calvary.
Where the whole world would see!!!
And God’s perfect Son died.
God turned his back.
And the angels in heaven wept.
The sun refused to shine!!!
If Jesus hadn’t died for you and for me
Then We would be deep and dead in
trespasses and sin.
If He hadn’t suffered and died at Calvary
We would suffer and die for eternity in Hell!!
When Jesus walked the earth He told
about his death and resurrection that
was coming.
Luke 9:22 says:
The Son of man must suffer many things
and be slain, and be raised the third day.
Jesus could’ve called 12 Legions of angels
to his side.
He didn’t have to hang there on that cross.
But because of his great love for us,
He suffered all the agonies that we needed to
have everlasting life.
Remember that we have nothing at all laid
up for us in heaven,
UNLESS, you have that faith
that Jesus did it all for you on that cross.
Then after his death
in 3 days He rose again
and after 40 days he ascended back
to Heaven to the right hand of the Father.
And when he returns It will be no secret either.
The Bible says:
This same Jesus which is taken up from you
into heaven, shall so come in like manner as
ye have seen him go into heaven.
People He is coming back.
1st Thess.chapter 4 says:
For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout., with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then
we which are alive and remain shall be caught
up together with them in the clouds, to meet
the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord!!!
And with the Christmas Holiday coming up
we all need to realize that it’s not about
buying your friends and family gifts.
And its not about decorating our houses
with trees and lights.
Its all about the Birth of Jesus Christ.
Who God sent to live and die for our Sins.
Jesus Means Everything to me tonight.
