1.SINS
" And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." Matthew 1:21
" For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. " John 3:17
Isaiah 53;5 I John 1 : 7-9
The Saviour came to this world to save us from sin . Jesus did not come to destroy us but to save us .Even though we were the enemies of God because of our sins , still because of His great love for us He came to die for our sins.The coming of Jesus Christ gives a message of hope to those who are lost in their sins.The blood of Jesus can forgive and cleanse the sinful hearts of men. Sinners do not have to die without hope. They can repent and turn from their sinful ways and the Saviour offers pardon and a promise of a brand new life.Therefore the birth of the Saviour is good news for the sinner.
2.SICKNESS
" When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses." Matthew 8;16-17
The Saviour came to this world to save us from sickness and disease. Jesus took our sicknessness and bore our infirmities and by his stripes we are healed. Healing is provided not just by the power of God but also by the stripes of Jesus. Jesus paid the price of our healing. The Lord Jesus was constantly healing the sick during His ministry on earth . Therefore the birth of the Saviour is good news for the sick.
3.SORROW
" Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; ..." Isaiah 53;4
" He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. " Psalms 147 : 3
The Saviour came to this world to save us from sorrow and grief. The coming of Jesus offers hope to those in sorrow because Jesus carried our sorrows and our griefs. People in sorrow can come to the Saviour and receive comfort and healing for their broken hearts. Jesus invites all who are weary and heavy laden to come to Him and receive rest and peace.Therefore the birth of the Saviour is good news for those in sorrow.
4.SCOURGE
" Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. " Galatians 3;13-14
The Saviour came to this world to save us from the scourge of curses .The coming of Jesus gives a message of hope to those who are living under the scourge of curses in their lives.Jesus took all the curses of mankind upon himself and became a curse for us.Therefore it is the will of God that all who accept Christ in their hearts live under his blessings. All who live under the bondage of curses and experience continuous failure and loss and frustration in their lives can come to the Saviour and receive complete deliverance from all curses and live in the full blessings of God.Therefore the birth of the Saviour is good news for those living under the scourge of curses.
5.SUFFERING
"That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us, To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear,
In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. " Luke 1: 71-75
The Saviour came to this world to save us from the suffering we face in life because of injustice and oppression and hatred . The enemy of mankind , the devil , constantly seeks to attack us and destroy us . He uses various means to cause us to suffer pain and agony. The Saviour came to deliver us from those who hate us .
Therefore the birth of the Saviour is good news for those who suffer from injustice and oppression.
6.SHAME
" For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. " Luke 1:48-52
Psalms 34 :5 Isaiah 61 : 7 Psalms 3:3
The Saviour came to this world to save us from shame and humiliation and reproach. The Saviour lifts us up in our life and exalts us from our low state. He is the lifter up of our head . He does not allow the enemy to put us to shame.The birth of the Saviour gives a message of hope to those who experience shame and humiliation before others. Therefore the birth of the Saviour is good news for those who experience shame and humiliation.
7.SCARCITY
" For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. " II Corinthians 8:9
Philippians 4 :19 Psalms 34 :9-10
The Saviour came to this world to save us from scarcity and lack . He will supply all our need according to His riches in glory. We can trust in Him at all times to meet the needs we face in life . He sacrificed His riches in order to bring blessings and prosperity in our lives. Therefore the birth of the Saviour is good news for those who face scarcity in their lives.
