BIG IDEA: No one goes through this life with ONLY ONE
GIANT to SLAY.

a. AFTER DAIVD ... the Giant Slayer ... HAD GROWN-UP … AND HAD BECOME A "MATURE BELIEVER", … GIANTS, KEPT ON COMING

ever been anyone that knew HOW TO SLAY GIANT
SPIRITUAL BATTLES …
a. … IF THERE’S EVER been anyone (outside of JESUS
CHRIST) that could teach us HOW TO SLAY GIANTS …
THAT keep on coming …. It’s KING DAVID.
b. THEREFORE, I CONTEND THIS AFTERNOON that if we TAKE
A DEEPER LOOK INTO BOTH OUR scriptures , today, and
a DEEPER look INTO the life of KING DAVID …
c. … WE WOULD DISCOVER (the P.D.F.) –
d. For … THE P.D.F. ( prayer-time, don’t take it
personal, find an accountability partner)
e. IS the HOW … TO … SLAY GIANTS THAT KEEP ON COMING …
f. Turn to your neighbor and say NEIGHBOR …”that
trouble that I’VE BEEN GOING THROUGH …
g. … THAT … ugly trouble … that has BEEN GETTING THE
BEST OF ME … is going down today.

MOVE 5: NOW, THE “p” (in P.D.F). stands for
PRAYER-TIME.
a. As believers, THE FIRST THING THAT WE must do in
order to SLAY GIANTS THAT KEEP ON COMING IS
TO DEVELOP A PRAYER-TIME.
b. For we need to earnestly pray at a particular time.
c. We don’t need to pretend that we’re praying … we
need to pray.
d. WE NEED TO PRAY about these NEW-LOOK struggles, and
troubles (in our lives) that are seemily CATCHING
US PHYSICALLY exhausted and always tired.
e. We need to pray. Because some giants are worse
than others.
f. Some are stronger, more cunning, and more ruthless
than the GIANTS we’ve faced in the past.

MOVE 6: WHO CAN EVER FORGET THE FAMOUS BATTLE OF KING
JEHOSHAPHAT (in 2 Chronicles 20).
a. For don’t you remember … King Jehoshaphat …
received WORDs that his enemy was planning to
destroy him.
b. The Bible says that Jehosphaphat and the people of
Judah TURNED TO GOD IN PRAYER ….
C. AND GOD RESPONDED by saying …
d. “Don’t be afraid or discouraged … this battle is
not yours.
e. It BELONGS TO GOD.
f. My brothers and my sisters … PRAYER IS THE KEY TO A
SUCCESSFUL SPIRITUAL LIFE …

MOVE 7: If we could (for a start) SET ASIDE at least 7
minutes a day (EARLY/LATE) … for PRAYER … our
lives would be more powerful and MORE
PURPOSELY FOCUS TO defeat our DAILY GIANTS.
a. … That which begins as 7 minutes would GROW into
GREATER minutes in prayer.
b. And MORE PRAYER equals MORE POWER.
c. The reason David was so successful IN HIS SPIRITUAL
BATTLES was because he realized the importance of
prayer.
d. For don’t you remember, David said (in Ps 5:3 My
voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in
the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and
will look up).
e. So, “the P” in P.D.F. stands for PRAYER-TIME.

MOVE 8: NOW, THE “d” (in P.D.F). stands for “DON’T
TAKE IT PERSONALLY”
a. It’s not about you; and it never has been …
b. The battle that you’ve fighting … DOESN’T BELONG TO
YOU …
c. It belongs to GOD.
d. The only way you and I can be SUCCESSFULLY USED AS
TOOLS for God …
e. We must NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY.
f. For the Bible says in Eph. 6:12 For we wrestle not
against * flesh and blood,
g. but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.

MOVE 9: FINALLY, THE “F” (in P.D.F). stands for “Find AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER.
a. As believers, in order for us to SLAY THE GIANTS THAT
KEEP ON COMING, WE MUST HAVE AN ACCOUNTABILTY
PARTNER.
b. For everyone needs somebody.
c. Someone that YOU WILL LISTEN TO …
d. Someone that has your best INTEREST IN HEART… EVEN
WHEN THEY LEARN OF YOUR deep dark secrets …
e. For the Bible says (in Pr. 17:17a) that a friend loveth at all
times …
f. In our scriptures today … GOD USED DAVID’S
ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNERS to rescue him …
