5. We Must Untangle The Many Islamic Errors From Truth.
We need to deal with and clarify 6 major issues…
· Muhammad calls himself the last prophet so we need to know how Islam defines and qualifies this title.
What is necessary to be considered a prophet?
Strong’s Bible Dictionary defines a Prophet as a beholder in vision, and inspired man.
In Islam, a prophet is known to be one who has:
- Performed Signs and Wonders
- Spoken to God Face to Face
- Live a sinless life
Jesus qualifies as a prophet…but not Mohammed!
· For Muslims the Qur’an is God’s Word. There are major differences between the ways their scripture presents events that are recorded in the Bible. (You can get all this on our website)
What the Quran Says:
- God created in 8 days (Surah 41:9-12). The Qur’an even contradicts itself on this point and says in Surah 10:3 that it was done in six days.
- One of Noah’s sons was left behind (Surah 11:32-
48)
- Abraham’s father was Azar (Surah 6:74)
- Abraham was going to sacrifice Ishmael (Surah
37:100-112)
- Abraham only had 2 sons (Surah 37:100-112)
- A person named Aziz bought Joseph
(Surah 12:21)
- Zechariah was only unable to talk for 3 nights
(Surah 19:10)
- Jesus was born under a palm tree (Surah 19:22-25)
What the Bible Says
- God created in 6 days
- All of Noah’s sons got onto the ark
- Abraham’s father’s name was Terah
- Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac
- Abraham had 8 sons
- Potiphar bought Joseph
- Zechariah was not able to speak until John the
Baptist was born (several months).
- Jesus was born in a stable
· The Bible says Jesus was crucified, Muslims believe He only ascended to heaven.
Surah 4:157-158 “And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure. Nay! Allah took him up to Himself; and Allah is Mighty Wise.”
Surah 4.157 “That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of God"; - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.”
Luke 23:33 “When they came to the place called "The Skull," they crucified Jesus there, and the two criminals, one on his right and the other on his left.” (TEV)
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”
· The Bible says Jesus is the Savior of the world, but Muslims believe He was only a Prophet.
Surah 19:30 “He (Jesus) said: Surely I am a servant of Allah; He has given me the Book and made me a prophet.”
Surah 9:30 “The Jews call ’Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!
Beyond that, Jesus (known as Isa) in the Quran is recognized as a great healer, a great teacher, and a great prophet of God. He is not acknowledged as God.
In all, he is highly revered in Islam and throughout the Quran. In Fact Jesus is mentioned almost 100 times in the Quran.
John 4:14 “God sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.”
I Timothy 2:5 " There is one God and one mediator between God and Men. The man Christ Jesus.”
· Islam doesn’t have a savior; it’s a religion of works. It’s based on rituals rather than a relationship with God.
How successful a Muslim is at doing what the Qur’an says determines their eternal fate. You better hope in the end that your 51% on the good side!
Surah 4:57 “And as for those who believe and do good deeds, we will make them enter gardens...”
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.” (NIV)
1 John 5:11-13 “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you, who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”
· Muhammad said that Deuteronomy 18:15 was the Biblical prophesy of his coming.
Moses told us that this prophet would come from his land. Muhammad was born in Arabia, not Israel…
But if you really want the truth…
a. Jeremiah 23:5 - He would be a descendent of David.
b. Malachi - He would be preceded by "a voice crying in the wilderness"
c. Zechariah 9:9 - He would enter Jerusalem riding on a donkey.
d. Psalm 78:2 - He would speak in parables.
e. Psalm 22:16 - His hands and feet would be pierced.
f. Psalm 41:9 - Someone he ate with would betray him.
g. Isaiah 35:5 - He would heal the blind, deaf & the lame.
h. Isaiah 42:1-4 - He would work quietly, without fanfare.
i. Isaiah 49:7 - His people would reject him.
j. Isaiah 53:7, 12 - He would not protest.
k. Isaiah 50:6 - His back would be beaten.
l. Isaiah 50:6 - they would spit on him and disfigure him.
m. Isaiah 53:9, 12 - He would die among criminals.
In all, over 60 Old Testament prophecies came to pass in the life of a single man - Jesus Christ.
Fact: The Quran cannot come close to this kind of contextual accuracy and transparency!
Josh McDowell says of Christ, “Modern day mathematicians have calculated that the chances of just eight prophecies occurring in a single individual life hundreds of years before he was born, is 160 trillion to one.”
6. We Must Unwrap Islam As a Controlling Religion.
After 9/11, there was what I call “a media mask” that all avenues of the media have tried to put on the face of Islam. From Oprah to the news hour, they put the spin on the real Islam.
October 5, 2001, Oprah had on her show 31 year old Queen Rania, the westernized queen of Jordan. Oprah asked her to comment on the equality of woman in Islam. First of all asking her to comment on this issue is like asking Scott Peterson to comment on Christianity!
These are the Queen’s own words spoken to millions of viewers that day, “Islam views woman as full and equal partners to men, so woman’s rights are guaranteed by Islam.”
If woman are equal to men, why does the Quran say...
· In Surah 4:3 - A Muslim man can be married to four woman at the same time, but a Muslim woman can only be married to one man.
· Surah 4:11 - Woman can inherit half of what men can inherit.
· Surah 33:53 - A woman is not allowed to answer the door if her husband is not home and if the husband is not home she is not permitted to speak to anyone.
· Surah 33:33 - Women are to remain in the home. And they cannot travel outside of the home without the husband’s permission!
· When a man dies in Jihad, he goes to heaven and has sex with 70 virgins the first night! What is her reward? Allah must have forgot to tell Muhammad! The Quran is silent about this!
· Surah 33:59 “Tell you wives and your daughters and the woman of believers to draw their cloak (veils) all over their bodies.”
· Surah 33:55 - A woman can only show her face to her immediate family.
It’s documented in the Hadith that Muhammad said; “A cheap rug is more valuable in a man’s home than a woman.”
May I remind all of us that going against these saying is not optional for Muslims!
Surah 5:101-102 “O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.”
7. We Must Undress Islam As a Violent Religion.
We have dozens of Americans being held against their will in Arab countries. Why? They don’t have permission from their husbands/fathers/uncles/brother to leave.
Why in Saudi Arabia and most Islam countries can only Islam be practiced? Don’t even try to start a church in Mecca! There is no FBC of Mecca!
When America was bombed in Pearl Harbor, we knew that we were at war. America rose up and went around the world to defend us. When those Muslims flew their bombs into the World Trade Center and Pentagon on 9/11, they killed more Americans than the Japanese killed in Pearl Harbor. We are talking about a world dominance of terror if certain Muslims have their way!
I hear religious scholars say, “Islam is a peaceful religion.” I heard President Bush recently say, “Islam is a godly religion that has been hijacked.” I respectfully disagree! Rather, Islam is a godless religion that’s highjacking the world!
Remember The Facts:
· 19 out of 19 hi-jackers in the 9/11 bombings were Muslims.
· 19 out of 21 Muslim nations are headed by a violent religious dictator!
· “From 1981 through 2000, there have been more than 9,000 Islamic terrorists attack worldwide”. ...Heritage Foundation
· Remember the video of Osama Bin Laden gloating over the destruction of the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and the thousands of lives lost: he said, “We were overjoyed when the first plane hit the building, so I said to them, ‘Be patient. More is coming.”
· They celebrated in the streets - exchanged gifts - over dead innocent Americans - whose bodies were lying in the rubble of those collapsed massive structures. After every attack - they shouted “Praise Allah!”
Surah 9:5 “But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them…”
Surah 9:123 “Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell among you.”
Mark Gabriel a former Muslim and former graduate and professor at Al-Azhar University in Cairo Egypt – the oldest and most prestigious Islamic schools in the world…
He was deep in the grip of extreme Islam in Egypt and he says in his book, “Islam and Terrorism”…
“One day the professor gave us students an opportunity to ask questions. I stood and asked him something I had wondered about for a long time: “Why is it that you teach us all the time about Jihad? What about the other verses in the Quran that talk about peace, love and forgiveness.”
Immediately his face turned red. Yelling at me he took the chance to reinforce his position in front of 500 students as he said…“My brother, there is a whole chapter called “Spoils of War”. There is no such chapter called “Peace”. Jihad and killing are the head of Islam. If you take them out, you cut off the head of Islam.”
Remember last time I mentioned Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman (the mastermind behind killing President Sadat and bombing the World Trade Center in 1993? Well may I build my case even stronger using the court transcripts from his trial? Don’t forget…he’s a Muslim scholar of Islamic law!
From his trial, here is a line of questioning between him and the prosecuting attorney…
Attorney: “Jihad is not killing. This is not Islam’s teaching. Jihad is a spiritual fight against evil, poverty, sickness and sin. Killing is from the devil.”
Sheikh Rahman: “From where does the attorney come up with this understanding? Are there verses in the Quran that I don’t know about that say, “Jihad is a spiritual fight against evil, poverty, sickness and sin?” Perhaps there is new inspiration from Allah that our attorney received recently and the rest of the Muslims do not know.”
Key: When Jihad is taught in context of the Quran and in Islamic schools, it is always a very violent action towards Muslims and non-Muslims!
Surah 9:29 “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”
Extremists interpret jihad as literal warfare against non-Muslims, and believe that Muslims men who die in a holy war are assured of a place in paradise with 70 virgins!
Moderate Muslims suggest that the jihad refers to specific battles mentioned in the Qur’an fought by Muhammad against his enemies (non-Muslims) and should not be applied universally or taken literally for today. They say that jihad can apply to leading a virtuous life, helping other Muslims through charity, education, or other means.
By they way, did you see that kind of interpretation in the verses that I documented from the Quran? No!
In fact, Muslims who adopt democracy in their countries, Bin Laden calls them “Infidels” also!
Matthew 5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”
