“Just Because God Said So”
Zechariah 4:6
When my brothers and I were coming up and we would want to do something or go somewhere we would, unlike kids today, ask our parents could we do this or could we go there. My father, like most fathers, would say what did your mother say. My mother, if she didn’t want us to do that would say no. Like most children when they have received the no answer would always ask the question why not. My mother’s answer would always be “Just because I said so.” Today I would like to talk to you, taken from that story and this passage of scripture on the subject “Just because God said so”.
We find that we are living in what the Bible calls perilous times. Every diabolical thing that can happen is being done in society today. We have every diabolical and corruptible piece of filth imaginable coming across our televisions, cartoons aren’t even clean anymore. Marriages are not lasting 6 months. We have 10 and 12 year old little girls dying on the abortion doctors table, because their young and immature bodies have suddenly experienced a level of shock that arrested their innocence, their purity, and their childhood and forced them to live far beyond their years, which ended up resulting in their untimely death. Husbands are killing wives, wives are killing husbands. Mother’s are against daughters and fathers are against sons, wrong is being called right and right is being called wrong. We have states passing laws saying that it is o.k. for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman. Homosexuality is being embraced and referred to as a normal way of life.
It’s sad to say but we now even have churches, not the CHURCH, but churches embracing this abomination and allowing this homosexual life-style to occupy the cathedra, which is the seat of authority, trying to hide behind the philosophy that you never know who you are going to fall in love with, preaching a message that all you need is love. They are saying it’s alright to live any type of corrupted life-style you desire just as long as you come and play for the service, just as long as you sing in the choir, just as long as you pay me your tithes. They are sugar coating the Word of God trying to say that it really doesn’t matter, just as long as your intentions are right, but your intentions don’t mean a thing if your soul is on its way to Hell. I think about the song the Marvin Gaye sang when he asked the question “What’s going on”. There are far to many of us dying spiritually, what’s going on.
The Bible says in Luke 11:34-37 “The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.”
The eye is the light of the soul, understands that this eye is the mind, light is knowledge, or even more specific that knowledge and understanding of God. The Bible says when you come into the light walk there in. When you come into the knowledge of who God is and what God is walk in that understanding
Understand people of God what is going on. The devil has blinded the minds of the people causing them to believe that this atrocity is simply alright. He is causing people to feel that there is no hope. He has captivated the mind and caused the body to be full of darkness.
People of God the devil desires to have you that he may sift you as wheat. The Bible says in Luke 22:31 “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.” The word sift comes from a Hebrew word called “Nuwa”, it means to mix up and confuse the mind, to control your thoughts. The devil wants to nuwa you; he wants you to believe that it is alright for man to be with man or woman to be with woman. But the Bible says in Leviticus 20:13 “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death, their blood shall be upon them.” It doesn’t matter what laws they pass, it doesn’t matter if in the mind of man it is alright, it doesn’t matter if everyone else does it, it’s wrong WHY just because God said so.
Just because God said so. My mind goes back to the book of Genesis the 1st chapter, the Bible says “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the water. Then God said let there be light and it was so.” WHY because God said so. God can not lie if he said it it’s got to come to pass. He said His word (Logos) will not go out and return unto Him void, but it WILL accomplish that which pleaseth Him. The power is in His word. Abraham was blessed to be the father of many nations, just because God said so. Sarah gave birth at the age of 90 years old, in the mind of man this is impossible, but it happened, WHY, just because God said so. The lions closed their mouths and became a pillow for Daniel, why, just because God said so. The man at the pool of Bethesda had been in a crippled state for 38 long years, but one day he took up his bed and began to walk, WHY, just because God said so. I am reminded of a passage of scripture in St. John the 4th chapter down about the 50 verse, there was a man whose son was at the point of death, this man wanted Jesus to come to his house and heal his son, Jesus said go thy way thy son liveth, the man went on his way home one of his servants was coming found the man and said come on home your son liveth, the man asked at what hour did his son begin to get well the servant said at the 7th hour, 1:00 pm, it was the same time that Jesus said it was so. God said I will hasten my word to perform it. In other words, when I say it is so it is so NOW.
There was a man by the name of Lazarus; he was a friend of Jesus. Lazarus died, was buried, and had been dead for four (4) days before Jesus ever got there. He was wrapped in grave clothes, and he had begun to stink, but when Jesus, who is God manifested in the flesh, said Lazarus come forth, the grave couldn’t hold him, the grave clothes couldn’t contain him, death didn’t have any more control over him, WHY, simply because God said so.
You may be facing a situation in your life that you thought was dead, your situation may have had you bound unable to give God praise. Your situation may even had begun to be a stinking mess, but today it no-longer has anymore power over you, for the Bible says whom the son hath set free is free indeed. Since God said it, it is so. You are no-longer bound, no-longer can that situation control your life, you are free how do I know, just because God said so.
The doctor may have diagnosed you with a terminal illness, he may say you have this condition, he may even say you have just this long to live, but I heard in the Word of God He said by my stripes you were healed; therefore, since God said so, if the doctor said this and God said that whose report are you going to believe.
Just because God said so. No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper. God said so therefore I don’t have to worry about the pestilence that walketh in the darkness, nor the destruction that wasteth at noonday, but I know a thousand shall fall at thy side and ten thousand at thy right hand. Not because of my strength, not because of my might, but because God said so. That mountain in your life has to go, not by your power, nor by might, but because God said so.
WATCH THIS: I have one of those electric Bibles, with that electric Bible I can type in a word or a phrase and it will tell me how many times that particular word or phrase is in the Bible and all the places it is found at. Well I typed in the phrase “God said” that particular phrase appears 1243 times in the Bible. Understand that numbers in the Bible play a very significant role. For example the number 7 is called God’s number, it is the number of perfection and perfect completeness, the creation took 7 days, the 7 spirits of God, the 7 churches, the 7 vials, 7trumpets, and 7 bowels, the 7 dispensations. The number 3 is the second most mentioned number in the Bible next to the number 7, it represents fullness. Fullness is not lacking any essentials; it is being at the highest or greatest degree possible, it encompasses the fullness of the Godhead, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, Tabernacle, Temple, Pentecost, 30, 60, 100 fold. But don’t get mislead, every number doesn’t mean something exactly. Only the numbers 1-12 actually have a meaning everything else is combinations of those numbers; therefore, 1243 doesn’t in itself mean something in particular, but the combination of those numbers do.
WATCH THIS: 1243 : 1 + 2 + 4 + 3 = 10. The number 10 means Divine Order. Thus we have the Ten Commandments = Divine Order, there were Ten plagues that fell upon Egypt the Divine Order from God. 1 + 2 + 4 + 3 = 10 Divine Order Therefore if God said it, it is a Divine Order and must come to pass. WHY because God said so.
I remember when my mother would say “because I said so” we would ask the question what kind of reason is that, she would always answer “That’s all the reason that you need” Because God said so that’s all the reason that you need. If God promised you something you might as well just go on and praise Him for it, WHY, because God said so and that’s all the reason that you need. Praise Him even if you don’t see how it is going to happen, if He said it, it is going to happen. How do I know because God said so and that’s all the reason that you need.
