1 Corinthians 2:9-16
but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."
For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? lEven so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but mthe Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the 4Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
We are living in dangerous times. The Bible does not leave us blind about the events that are taking place all over the world.
Jesus said; "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of war: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All of these are the begining of sorrows."(Matt.24:4-8)
Even many in the Church people are walking in fear thinking the worst. The Bible tells us that it’s going to get worst before it gets better.
"God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and a sound mind." (Its time for the Church to start fighting.)
There is a spiritual war taking place that has to be fought spiritually. Paul says that; "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds".
It’s time for the Church to shine.
Time to get into the battle.
This is what Jesus meant when He said that; "the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church."
Paul talks about the victory of the church as a "mystery" and "hidden wisdom". Of course, what he is referring to first of all is God’s offer of salvation to all people. This was hidden to many till Jesus rose from the dead and it’s still hidden to those who choose not to believe in the only begotten son of God.
But the Bible also talks about other mysteries unknown to natural man. But we know them because God has revealed them to us through the Spirit (verse 10). "THe Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God."
#1. The mystery of the Gospel message.
Paul said that the message of the crusified Messiah was "a stumbling block to the jews and foolishnes to the gentiles. But to those that are called both jews and gentiles. "It is the power of God, and the wisdom of God" (I Corinthians 1:23-24).
Ephesians 6:19. "That utterence may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Gospel".
No matter what is happening all over the world. The church cannot stop sharing the Gospel.
God is preparing Iraq and the other Moslem nations that had been closed for so many years to receive the Gospel message.
We should be saying like Paul; "That utterence may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Gospel."
#2. The mysteries of the kingdom of God.
Matt. 13:11. "But to us is made known the mysteries of the kingdom of God."
What are these mysteries?
The precense of the Holy Spirit in every believer.
The trinity is a mystery to many.
The victory of the Church through Jesus Christ.
The resurrection of the dead and the rapture of the Church.
etc.
Let’s not compromise what has been revealed to us. Jesus Christ is not only a prophet but our God.
God has revealed Himself in three persons. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Our victory is secure because of what Jesus did on the cross. Not through good works that anyone should boast. Not through any one or anything else. "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one can go to the father unles its through Him."
#3. The mystery of the restoration of Israel.
Rom.11:25-26. "For I would not, bretheren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, untill the fullnes of the gentiles. And so all Israel shall be saved."
Israel is God’s chosen people. and God said that He would bless those who bless them and curse those who curse them.
#4. The mystery of Gods will.
Ephesians 1:9. "Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to his good pleasure which He has purposed in Himself."
No one will be able to change what God has purposed.
#5. The mystery of the Church. How we are all members of the same body and Christ is the head of the Church.(Ephesians 5:30-32).
More than ever there has to be unity in the Church.
God is not coming for one particular denomination but for His Church. Everyone that is part of the body of Christ regardles of the denomination is part of His Church.
#6. Christ in us. (Galatians 2:20).
"Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world."
#7. The mystery of Godliness.
How God manifested Himself to humanity through His son Jesus Christ (I Tim.3:16).
#8. The mystery of Babylon.
Revelations 17:5-14 shows that Iraq and the nations surrounding it. Where the battle is taking place has a very important role in the end times.
#9. The mystery of iniquity.
How the presence of the Holy Spirit and the Church are restraining the antichrist from fully executing his plans. But when Christ comes and takes His Church the wicked will be revealed whome the Lord will destroy for ever.
