Change
Joshua 1:1-5 After the death of the LORD’S servant Moses, the LORD said to Moses’ assistant Joshua, son of Nun, (2) "My servant Moses is dead. Now you and all these people must cross the Jordan River into the land that I am going to give the people of Israel. (3) I will give you every place on which you set foot, as I promised Moses. (4) Your borders will be the desert on the south, nearby Lebanon to the Euphrates River (the country of the Hittites) on the north, and the Mediterranean Sea on the west. (5) No one will be able to oppose you successfully as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will never neglect you or abandon you.
CHANGE, v.t. 1. To cause to turn or pass from one state to another; to alter, or make different; to vary in external form, or in essence; as, to change the color or shape of a thing; to change the countenance; to change the heart or life.
We all need change, but none of us want change. The israelites were the same, why after a few days in the desert they wanted to go back to Egypt. That’s the way many of us are. We want it until we experience it.

We must learn from the ones who have changed before us. Josua learned from Moses about change. Moses was his mentor in the desert times. If we want to learn something we must go to someone who knows, not just a friend with an opinion.
Too many times we listen to opinions rather than to someone with the knowledge.
verse 2 (2) "My servant Moses is dead. Now you and all these people must cross the Jordan River into the land that I am going to give the people of Israel.
Change means letting go of the past. You can’t change if you continually hold on to your concept of a perfect life, family, or church. Your idea may not be God’s idea.
Some things have to die for change to come about. Without the death of some things you won’t reach the promised land.
verse 3 (3) I will give you every place on which you set foot, as I promised Moses.
For change to take place someone has to initiate it. Someone’s feet must be moving to get to where you want to be. Joshua could have marched on by himself an left the others behind.
If you want the change that God has set you up for, you have to get moving.
verse 4 (4) Your borders will be the desert on the south, nearby Lebanon to the Euphrates River (the country of the Hittites) on the north, and the Mediterranean Sea on the west.
You must know the territory God wants you to have.
Some people are small thinkers, they can never see the BIG picture. So people are dreamers they never really see what God has envisioned. They have their own thoughts and plans. God will give clear direction and that’s our bulls eye.
verse 5 (5) No one will be able to oppose you successfully as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will never neglect you or abandon you.
God will help you to change if you will listen and move with Him. God will help those who embrace what He desires and sets up.
Did you catch what God said. Noone will be able to oppose you. Satan cannot stop a person changing things for God.
