TOPIC: YOUR TIME HAS COME.
SCRIPTURE READING: JOHN 5: 1 – 11
1] After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
[2] Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
[3] In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
[4] For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
[5] And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
[6] When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
[7] The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
[8] Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
[9] And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
[10] The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
[11] He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
This is your time of Healing; your appointed time to be blessed is now. This message is for those who are contemplating that when are God going to fulfil His promises upon their life. Can I declare to you that your testimony is now and it is the right time for you to be blessed.
There is nothing you can do if your time has not come. There is time for everything. But your time has come. (Say a big Amen!)
In our text today John 5: 1- 11, at the pool of Bathesda. Bathesda means a place or house of mercy. There, Jesus had mercy upon a man whose time has come. I declare to you today that this is a house of mercy. I believe someone is going to experience the mercy of God today. Shout – MY TIME HAS COME
Ps.102: 13 said, “The set time to favour you has come and it is now. It is your time to be blessed, delivered, favoured and free and to receive liberty.
Our text is teaching us that you don’t have to go anywhere to get your mercy or healing – some of us focus our faith and attention on the occasional stirring of the water. It is TIME TO FOCUS ON JESUS! The man has been focusing on the water, he was at the house of mercy but he did not receive mercy because his time has not come. Some of us have been in their disability for years but it is your time now. You’ve seen people blessed but it is your time.
[5] And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
One thing is clear of this man, he may not have received his mercy for 38years but he did not move out of the house of mercy. STAY in the house of mercy, stay in the house of God, stay in FREEDOM OF CHRIST CHURCH, if you have change your church of recent to come to FOCC, stay where you are now. The power of the Lord is here His glory is in this house and this is His house of mercy. Don’t allow people to deceive you and push you away. He stayed for 38years. Stay and see the glory of God. God is taking you out of disability; He will take you to a new dimension. The time to favour Zion is now – the time to favour His Church is now, the time to favour FOCC is now! Hallelujah!
This man has been there for 38years – I don’t think you can beat his record. He didn’t know how to get out of disability, but he stay there. You might not know how to get out of your limitation, barrenness, sickness, debt, sorrow or loneliness but I’ve got news for you – YOUR TIME HAS COME!
Jesus bypasses a lot of people that day and get to the man whose time has come. The man was in the house of mercy but still lacking. The only thing that is missing is the GREAT HEALER, but the Great Healer is in this house today.
Jesus said, “Do you want to be healed? He said I have no one” Jesus said that you don’t need anyone again. The One with you now is Greater and Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. The Great Healer is here! Your Redeemer is here! Your Saviour is here! The Great Provider is here!
Hab. 2: 3 said if you want to receive your deliverance , “wait for it”. The advice is wait. When all things are right and God’s time has come, your deliverance will come. Do not quit. I am not quitting. I have waited too long to quit. What if that man quit after 10, 20, 30, 37, 371/2 years or 37years, 11months and 29days? He would have died of his infirmity.
People may laugh at you and say so you are still at that church but wait
People may step on you but wait.
People may say you still believe to be pregnant after 20 years of marriage but wait.
The only people that win the race are those who never quit.
Don’t allow anyone to pull you out of house of mercy. When they try to push you out be quick to let them know that – IT IS MY TURN AND IT IS MY TIME TO BE BLESS. Jacob knew that his time has come when he refuse to let the angel go, the woman with the virtue of blood pressed in because she realise that this is her time and she has to take the opportunity.
I don’t know whom I’ve preached to today but I have just ministered to someone whose time has come.
Are you ready now because YOUR TIME HAS COME!
