(a) Propitiate = To regain good will
(b) A righteousness from God -
v21 A righteousness apart from the law - (the law doesn’t save, it reveals)
v22a A righteousness that comes through FAITH, to trust God
v22b A righteousness that is available to all.
v23 A righteousness that is needed by all, for all sin and fall short.

II. THROUGH THE JUSTIFICATION OF GOD (3:24-31)
(a) Justify = To declare guiltless
v24a A declaration that is offered freely, but is not free (to God).
v24b A declaration that comes only by grace, not by our goodness, or self worth
v24c A declaration that is redemptive (redeem = paid in full)
v25-31 A declaration that comes only through Jesus Christ.

III. THROUGH THE RELATION OF GOD (4:1-25)
(a) Relation = Connection through blood, marriage or kinship
(b) Abraham = The example of relation through God
v1-3 A relationship where Abraham believed, and trusted God
v4-8 A relationship based on God’s goodness, not our works
v9 A relationship that is available to everyone.
v10-15 A relationship that is based on God’s truth, not ritual.
v16-23 A relationship that is based on God’s promises, not reason. If you try to discover God with human reasoning, you will miss Him, and His way to the gospel.
v24-25 A relationship with God through God, and guaranteed by Jesus Christ.

IV. THROUGH THE RECONCILIATION OF GOD (5:1-11)
(a) Reconcile = To settle a quarrel
(b) God settled it: Through Jesus Christ, the battle is over
(c) THE BIG TRADE (The Benefits Of The Gospel)
v1 Give you peace!
v2a Give you complete access to the throne.
v2b-4 Give you hope in times of suffering.
v5 Give you the Holy Spirit.
v6-8 Give you His son while you are still in sin.
v9-11 Give you friendship with God.
