In God We Trust This sermon deals with the concept, that if we trust in God, why doesnt this contry show it? John 16:1-3, Jesus was a prophet, preacher, teacher, leader, diplomat, healer, councilor and the Son of God. In John 16:1, These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. None of the things that Jesus taught was to cause any man to stumble but to come to accknowledge the truth. Now Pilate, in John 18:38, asked a question that should have been carved in stone. This is one verse in scripture in which many read but do not understand the significants. What is Truth? Truth is the elimination of all doubt and the revelation of the spirit of God. Let God be true and every man a lier. Truth is the acceptance of vunerability of our own knowledge and wisdom, leaveing us with the option of believing in God and putting our trust in him. The Bible states, that, If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and turn from their wicked ways.......I will heal their land and they shall hear from heavan. Do we trust in God? If so, why have we truned away from the teachings of Christ and allowed , leagelised prostitution,rights for gays and lesbians, hearing men of our own government speak about how much we trust in God and behind our backs, commit fraud, adultry and even manslaughter and still we trust in them to lead us into the next generation. Look at what Jesus said, And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. Its not polotics, its the end times. The time when they will try to establish a one world government and religion. Do we trust in God? Can we as a nation survive without God protecting us? There is a blindness that has started to sweep the country and our churches, a blindness that growes darker every day, we allow this and that and we are affraid to upset someone with the truth. Its time we got back to the Bible and fear God with a reverent fear. Jesus said, that the eyes were the light of the soul and if the eyes be dark, then how great is that darkness. Dont be affraid to offend, Jesus remarked in scripture, do not be careful for nothing. Dont be affraid to tell the truth dont be affraid to trust in God. What God doesnt keep you from He will keep you throu. Remember the prophecy, that in the end days they shall refuse to eat meat and forbid to marry? Its allready here, Ive noticed, Christian ministries, telling their congregations to honour God by not eating meat and others forbidding their ministers from marrying. These things are contrary to scripture and are leading other churches in the path of disobediance.Their writting their own bible and telling people that God didnt do it right the first time. Their adding to and takeing away so fast its hard for us to keep up with it. Trust, Trust in God, its becomming a few and far inbetween thing in the world today. The less we trust God the more we become an open target for the world to inter in and seek a week spot to attack. Jesus said, Narrow is the gate and straight is the way but there be few that find it. Was He speeking of only a handful makeing it to heavan? In a way yes. But the spirit showed me what this meant, He said, concider all the people that have been born and died from the time of Adam untill the time of the end, the word few represents the enormous number of people minus the believers that will inter into Gods rest. And that number will be unnumerable compaired to the massive number that will be lost. So that will be few. World piece? Not a chance, not while men rule. There is going to be a goodwill sports contests in Athens Greece , and dont you know that the headlines are not about the sports partisipants but of prostitutes picketing the games because they arnt allowed to sell their bodies closer to the games? What has man become, why havent we learned from the past, aids, and all other manner of desiese? God said that it was an abomination, but all people do is laught about it. There was an old saying a while back, If a tree falls in the forest and no ones around, does it make a noise when it hits the ground? Today, we as christians should be asking the question, If a child dies alone and no ones around does her wimper make a sound? Jesus said, But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them...... We cant save the world or even this nation, all we can do is to hold on to that which we have.Continue to pray for the lost and pray that we are allowed to continue to serve God undesturbed.
