“IT’S TIME TO GET SAVED”

JOHN 12:35-50
Some folks think they are good really good people. Let’s suppose that a person only sins 3 times a day. A sin in the morning, a sin during the day and a sin at night. Sounds like a pretty good person! Let’s think for a moment. If that person is saved at 10 years old and dies at 80 years old that person will commit 76,650 sins in their lifetime! Imagine nearly 80,000 sins and this is from the life of a "good person." The truth is that all have sinned (more than we would really like to know) and all need Jesus. Richard Wilson
Jeremiah 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.)
Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Ephesians 5:14-15 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Right now it is a:
1. LIMITED TIME
A man went to his doctor to find out why he had been having such severe headaches. The doctor ran some tests and after a few hours called the man into his office. "I have terrible news," he told the patient. "Your condition is terminal." "Oh, no!? the man cried. "How long do I have?" "Ten " began the doctor. "Ten what?" the patient interrupted. "Days? Months? Years?" "Nine," continued the doctor, "eight, seven, six "
I believe it’s true we are put on earth to do so many things and if that’s true I feel like I’m so far behind right now, I’ll never die! Dennis Deese
1. Warning 12:35
John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
2. Withdrawal 12:36
Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Luke 19:41-42 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things [which belong] unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
2. AFFORDED TIME
Howard Hendricks said, “In the midst of a generation screaming for answers, Christians are stuttering.”
It is given to us through God’s:
1. Presence 12:36, 45-46
2. Provisions 12:37
3. Prophecy 12:38
4. Plea 12:44 (Think about the God of creation carrying about us so much He cries out from heaven for us to be saved!)
3. CRITICAL TIME
1. The Power of Darkness 12:35
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2. The Effects of Unbelief 12:37-40
1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.
Hebrews 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he (Esau) would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
3. The Judgment of God 12:44-50
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present!

Yet it only takes a minute to give our lives to Christ but it lasts eternity! Dennis Deese
Concluding word to Christians:
Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn’t buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure? Remember, you must use it, as it is given only once. Once wasted you cannot get it back.
2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
