JESUS IS LORD
1.SIN
John 8 : 34-36 Matthew 9 : 2-7
Jesus is Lord over all the power of sin. He can set us free from the bondage of sin . The word of God says ‘If the Son shall set you free you shall be free indeed ‘. Jesus has the authority to forgive sins . His blood cleanses us from all sin . Jesus is the only hope for the sinner to be set free from the power of sin.
2.SICKNESS
Luke 4:38-40 Matthew 8:5-13
Jesus is Lord over sickness . He has power to heal all sicknesses and diseases. He rebuked the fever of Peter’s mother-in-law and the fever left her immediately . The centurion understood the authority of Jesus over sickness and asked Jesus to speak a word only for his servant to be healed. His faith in Jesus was so strong that he did not think it was even necessary for Jesus to come to his home to heal his servant.
3.SCOURGE
Galatians 3 : 13-14
Jesus is Lord over the scourge of curses. He can deliver us from every curse in our life. He became a curse for us on the cross of Calvary so that we can enjoy the abundant blessings of God in our life. We need not fear the power of curses in our life. Jesus has power to break every curse and set us free to experience all the blessings of God.
4.STORM
Matthew 8 : 23-27
Jesus is Lord over storms. He has the power to still the storms in our life. The disciples were sailing in a boat with Jesus when a big storm arose. The disciples were terrified that they were going to perish. They awoke Jesus to save them. Jesus rebuked the disciples for their unbelief and fearfulness . Then he rebuked the storm and immediately there was a great calm. The disciples were astonished at the power of Jesus to calm the storm. We can also trust in the power of Jesus when we face the storms of life. He has authority over every storm in our life. We need not fear in unbelief but trust in Jesus to calm the storms.
5.SCHEMES

Jesus is Lord over all the schemes and plans we make in our life . He has absolute authority over every area of our life . He is not a Lord who is just a figure head in our life. He expects us to obey Him in every area of our life . He gives us the assurance that His ways and thoughts are much higher than our ways and thoughts. He is the potter and we are the clay and He has the authority to shape our lives according to His will and purpose.
6.SATAN
Mark 1:23-27 Luke 9:1 Colossians 2:15
Jesus is Lord over all the power of satan . He triumphed over all the powers of darkness on the cross of calvary. He cast out devils and delivered people from the bondage of satan . He gave his disciples power over all the power of satan and unclean spirits. We need not fear the power of satan in our lives because Jesus has triumphed over the devil. Jesus who is in us is greater than satan.
7.SOVEREIGNS
Revelation 17:14 Revelation 19:16 Isaiah 40:15 Daniel 4:24-37 Revelation 11:15 II Timothy 2:12 Romans 8:17
Jesus is Lord over all the Sovereigns and rulers of this world. King Nebuchadnezzar learnt a bitter lesson when he became proud of his authority . He lost his Kingdom until he realized the authority of God over human Kingdoms . Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. All earthly kingdoms will soon crumble and the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of Christ. It is a glorious hope and confidence we have in Christ. We shall also rule with Him if we are faithful to him and suffer with Him .
