Exodus16:15 So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, "This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.
16 "This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.’"
17 Then the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less.
18 So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one’s need.
Aquiring the Divine Satisfaction
Satisfaction is not a destination or end result…it’s a lifestyle.
Lets pray
There is a promised land that I’m looking forward to……..
We cant lose sight of that!
There is the ultimate promised land which is heaven however there are specific lands that God has ordained that we are to posess!
Lands that are out there and that we know are out there.
Gods plan for your life is to take from one step to the next…never settling…never satisfied.
The next land that you are to posess could be just a prayer away
Lands of promise…..
1. The next land of promise may be for you to see loved one saved….
Oh it can happen!
It requires you to not give up & to never ceace from prayer.
I believe theres a husband that’s going to get saved
Theres a son or daughter that’s gonna get saved
Theres a coworker that’s going to get saved.
The land is ready all it needs is for you to posess it!
2. The next Land of promise for you may be to experience a spiritual breakthrough in your life!
• It could happen!
• When you leased expect it, while your asking God He can give you what you need!
• It deliverance from a habit?
• Baptism of the Holy Spirit?
• Fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit.
• A resurrected devotion time with God?
• The Land is ready for you to posess!
3. The next Land of Promise could be a renewed Joy
Or a renewed Peace
Child Of God, God is here today to get you to that Land!
The Key to pressing on & not losing heart & dying in the wilderness is remaining nourished.
• Just like everyone else Iv’e been keeping up on the war developments.
• & there has been something that has really bugged me & that is that there are many news reporters & people out there that are so negative about our progress.
• & one of the things that was mentioned was that for about a day some of our soldiers were limited to one meal.
• The reporters jumped all over that & began to assume that our march through Iraq was quickly coming to a sad end.
• We all know that’s not the case & our soldiers have fresh supplies & food.
The reason it came as such a shock is that we realize that in order to fight the battle…
In order to posess the Land, our men & women have to be nourished.
God knows this!
Hudson Taylor once wrote in his journal: "Our heavenly Father is a very experienced One. He knows very well that his children wake up with a good appetite every morning. He sustained three million Israelites in the wilderness for forty years. We do not expect he will send three million missionaries to China: but if he did, he would have ample means to sustain them all. Depend on it, God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply."
The Israelites woke up to this strange substance on the ground….and was given this command….16 "This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.’"
*You know there are different methods that we try in order to recieve Gods provision….
1. Baby bird method
• It’s the most precious thing..
• The baby bird sits in the nest as the mother bird has the job of looking for a worm or some sort of food
• The mother brings it back & all the baby bird has to do is…
• Tilt its head back
• Open his mouth & let mom drop it in there.
God could have told the Israelites,
“Tomorrow morning I want to you walk out of your tents, look to heaven, open your mouths & I will feed you individualy………but he didnt
2. time released capsule method
• Modern medicine is awesome.
• There is medication that you can take in a small pill & it will take care of all your symptoms
God could have injected the manna in the people
They could have just woken up with full bellys…….but he didn’t .
3. cookie jar method.
We all know whats in cookie jars.
My mom has a cookie jar shaped like an apple.
God could have told the people to set there omers outside their tent & they could have waken up to full omers of manna……..but he didn’t.
God told them to go & “GATHER” the manna.
the requirement of the people was to gather their food.
R. C. Sproul has noted, "To pray without action is hypocrisy. To act without prayer is pagan." Effective prayer involves the balanced tension between total dependence on God and responsible action by the one who prays.
The food that was to keep the people going & bring satisfaction in their life was not in their bellys
Not in their omers & not being fed to them
It was laying around them.
The Lord sent me this morning to let you know that God requires us to walk in obedience..and the way that you are going to receive the provision from God is for you to, gather it.
How do I gather it?
Church there are morsels of food all around you waiting for you to pick it up!

There are things lying on the floor of your life that are waiting to be picked up by you that will bring a divine satifaction on the road to the next land of promise.
You know whats waiting to be picked up?...
1. Daily communion with our brothers & sisters
2. daily worship
3. Daily relationships with your family
4. Daily witnessing
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
5. Daily encouragement
6. Daily appointment with Jesus
John 6:31 "Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’"
32 Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 "For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
34 Then they said to Him, "Lord, give us this bread always."
35 And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
I don’t believe Jesus was referring to just the initial response we have when we come to Christ but also when we come to him daily he is our daily bread that will bring a divine satisfaction.
To come.) to come from one place to another, and used both of persons arriving and of those returning.
Christ wants to get you to one place to the next.
