God spoke to Moses on the mountain (Exodus 19:3-6)
3 Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel:
4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.
Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine,
6 you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.”
God speaks through the Scriptures
- in OT times His written Word was the Pentateuch & He spoke thru it
- In NT times His written Word was the Pentateuch & the Prophetic Books & He spoke thru them.
- Today His written Word is the Bible & He speaks thru it
- 2 Tim 3: 14-17
14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
-God spoke by writing the 10 commandments. Exodus 20: 1-17
God Incarnate spoke
Jesus. Part of the Trinity of God told us many things
God, the Spirit speaks

God speaks in & thru dreams
Both to Christians and others
-Gen. 31:10-13 God spoke to Jacob in a dream
-Gen. 37:5-10 God gave Joseph a dream
-Gen. 20:3-7 God spoke to Abimelech (king of Gerar) in a dream
-Matt. 2:13-20 God instructed Joseph & Mary concerning Jesus’ life
God speaks thru other people or donkeys

God speaks through the prophets.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts.
