Secret, Sacred, and Secure
“God’s 911 System”
Psalms 91:1-7
Let me tell you a story about a young man that wanted to become a pilot. He had taken all the classes and it was now time for him to take his solo flight and get certified as a pilot. He got into the plane sat down in the cockpit and took the plane into the air. A few minutes into his solo flight he looked and saw a very poisonous snake in the cockpit of the plane coming right for him. The young man panicked and the plane began to drop, the instructor in the control tower came over the radio and said to the young man “What’s going on up there” The young man in a very shaking voice said there’s a snake in the cockpit and he’s coming right after me, tell me what to do. The instructor simply and calmly said take the plane up higher. The young man still panicking yelled and said what is that going to do, the instructor said just take it up higher, the young man said I’m about to let go of the wheel you better tell me what to do or else. The instructor calmly said take the plane up 10,000 more feet, the young man grabbed the wheel and took the plane up 10,000 more feet, after he got to the proper height the instructor came over the radio and said what is the snake doing now. The young man said its dead. The higher you get in God you find that the devil the old seperent dies.
We are people that desire to be comfortable. The word comfortable means: affording or enjoying contentment and security, to be free from vexation or doubt to be free from stress or tension enjoying or providing a position of contentment and security applies to anything that encourages serenity, well-being, or complacency as well as physical ease, it suggests warmth, shelter, assured ease, and friendliness. Comfort ability implies easiness, restfulness that induces or contributes to relaxation. I don’t think anyone well disagree with that; therefore, you see we are people that desire to be comfortable.
We purchase air conditioners in the summer and heaters in the winter, in-order that we may be comfortable, we strive to ensure that we are surrounded by things that make us happy and feel comfortable. The people we associate with make us happy and are comfortable to be around, the places we visit make us happy and offer a certain amount of comfort, and the foods we eat make us happy and feel comfort. We work hard and long so that we may obtain the things we desire, the things that are pleasurable to us in order to be comfortable. We drive the type of cars we like because it’s comfortable. We live in the homes we live in the neighborhoods we live in because it makes us comfortable, we have padded our pews, carpeted our floors, and put air condition in our sanctuary, why because it makes us comfortable. Understand that there is nothing wrong with being comfortable at all, unless we allow our desire for comfort to come before God and our desire to please Him. We must never get to a place where we desire our comfort more than pleasing God. Even when we are surrounded by the things that make us comfortable, when we are in our so-called comfort zones, there comes a time that we must just get away. Call it a vacation, a getaway, or just a break; there comes a time that we must just get away from the pressures of everyday life and the people in our everyday lives. Rather that place is like for me a golf course or some secluded mountain cabin it is good to just sometimes get away.
I often say that I want to someday become a pastor and growing up the son of a pastor I know that there are times that you just need to get away. Sometimes a Pastor needs to get away, because church folk will run you down, church folk will cause your blood pressure to rise, church folk will get on you last nerve. Church folk, what are church folk. Church folk are these, they come to church on Sunday late, they never show up for Bible class or Sunday school, they never make prayer meeting, they never get into service, they always have an attitude and find fault with every other member in the church, but it’s never their fault. They give preach-a-monies and test-a-lies that seem like they could melt the walls of the church, but yet can’t live right. They do this, if the preacher is up more than 15 minutes they say to him, preach you really did a good job and as soon as his back is turned they say boy I thought he was never going to sit down. I’m talking about Church folk. Church folk because they don’t ever make it to prayer meetings don’t know how to pray for themselves and when its 3:00 in the morning and the thunderstorm woke them up they call the pastor who is sound asleep and say pastor pray for me cause I’m scared. Church folk if a sinner or stranger would ask them what time Sunday school was they would say I don’t go to Sunday school, well when is Bible class night they would say I don’t go to bible class, but let something go wrong, let someone slip, and they are the first ones to go and tell everybody’s business all over town. These are Church folk. Church folk are different from Kingdom folk. Kingdom folk are at church every time there is church. Kingdom folk no how to pray. Kingdom folk are dedicated, sincere, you don’t have to try to pump them up to get into service. Kingdom folk don’t gossip about other Kingdom folk. (Somebody say thank God for the Kingdom folk)
So you see sometimes he just needs to get away. Just because he does, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love you or that he doesn’t care, but he just needs to get away in order to stay. Now when we as well as the pastor decide to get away we find a place that people don’t know where we are. We allow a few people to know in case of an emergency, but for the most part people are not aware of the place that we are going away to, why because we want it to be a secret place that only we know about so that we may achieve peace and relaxation. I’m going to a secret place. Often times these places that we go to are sacred to us, which means they are special to us for many different reasons. I like Niagara Falls, its sacred to me because that’s were my wife and I spent our honeymoon. The most important thing that the places we go to have to have is security. Even if it’s not the most secret or the most sacred places to us, it must be a secure place. I remember when my parents were getting ready to take a trip to the Holy Land (Israel) and the fighting became more and more intense. They cancelled the trip why, because it wasn’t a secure place. So the places we decide to go must be places that are free from worry and provide protection from harm and danger. Often times we consider our homes the places that have all the qualities embedded in them that we desire. But we know that even our homes cannot guarantee us a sacred place, a secure place, and most definitely a secret place.
America was once considered the place that up-held these qualities. It was considered a place of security, free from harm and danger of terrorist, a land that provided a cornucopia of opportunities as well as providing financial security for the people. Compared to many other countries it was considered a sacred and secure place to live.
HOWEVER
Ever since September 11th 2001, the infamous (911), life has we once knew it changed forever. Before that day crime was an ever-present reality, corruption was every we turned, but we learned to cope with these things as long as our homes were safe and secure. Through this ability to cope we developed an inaccurate atmosphere in which we operated in that made us feel as though we were virtually untouchable. We called this atmosphere “Homeland Security”.
Because America had not been under siege in nearly sixty years, because we had a military force that was far superior to any other country, because we said that this is the land of the free and the home of the brave, we felt safe and secure here in America. Within this false sense of security America became complacent and comfortable in themselves they lost sight of God, it’s first (1st)) love and went whoring after every flesh satisfying, despicable, and detestable imaginable, fixation that could be fabricated in the minds of man. They welcomed homosexuality with open arms, perverseness became a way of life, the more perverted, distorted, and sadistic you are then the more accepted you are. The moral decency, which once was the backbone of this great nation, has vanished and is replaced with immorality, homosexuality, pornography, and every abominable vulgarity man is capable to conceive. It is as though America has been turned over to a reprobate mind.
We have taken God out of our way of life and have even tried to make Him unconstitutional, illegal, and prohibited in our allegiance. He is considered an infringement on the rights of people and therefore it is against the “law of man” to mention His name or say a prayer to Him in school. A country that was established on the idea of Christianity, which means Christ like, has now turned its back on God and now what has happened is another principality has moved over America and is ruling and is responsible for the action that are happening in America today. People can’t seem to understand why little children are being taken out of their homes in the middle of the night, they say they can’t believe that a child playing in their own back yard can so easily be snatched, people wonder why families are being destroyed, and don’t seem to understand how a four year old little girl can be taken from a Wal-Mart, raped, beaten, and murdered they can’t seem to understand how a teenage boy who normally is very quite and shy can one day go on a shooting rampage in his school. It’s because of the principality that has control of America that is the reason why all hell is breaking loose is because of who and what is in control.
What do I mean? OK let’s have a quick Bible class, were going to the mountaintop also, but first lets understand principalities and how they move.
The Bible says in Eph. 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. PRINCIPALITY — a powerful ruler, or the rule of someone in authority. The word may refer to human rulers or demonic spirits angels and demons in general or any type of rule other than God Himself. This is the one I want you to understand. The territory or jurisdiction of a prince: the country that gives title to a prince. The devil is the prince of the air (Eph.2: 2).
The word title means = ownership, claim, right, it comprises all the elements constituting legal ownership b: a legally just cause of exclusive possession.
WATCH THIS:
When America turned their back on God, they gave ruler ship and ownership back to the devil and he has now set up a principality over America called “chaos” and on September 11th, 2001 this principality which is called chaos manifested himself. Understand that the devil has demonic spirits that work for him and these spirits are given territories to rule over and until man obeys God, humbles themselves, prays, and turns from their wicked ways, these spirits or principalities have control. We often wonder why there is so much war and devastation in the world today. We wonder why lives are lost over what really seems to be a minute thing. Since man hasn’t submitted himself to God, these demonic principalities are in control. Once man obeys God, humbles himself, prays, and turns from their wicked ways, God will step in resume control and the demonic spirits have to move out, because he can’t abide where God is, because where the spirit is there is liberty and the principality no longer has a stronghold anymore. That’s how principalities move. Understand and pray sincerely for our president that he to will get this understanding, that we are not fighting against Bin Laden or Sadamm Hussen, but against a principality that has control of America, control that was given to him by America.
Watch this: Let’s Look At The Hand of God.
All through the Bible numbers have played a very significant role and they have a very unique meaning to them. The number 1 means “Beginning”. It is not composed of another number; it is independent of all other numbers. It is the source of all numbers; therefore, denotes the beginning. It represents Divine unity, supremacy, and independency; it is sufficiency, which needs no other, and independency, which admits no other. The number one is emphatic, declaring the unity of worship. It represents the One and Only true God who is self-sufficient, the beginning, the alpha and omega.
The number 3 speaks of solidity it is the symbol of fullness. Next to the number 7 it is the most mentioned number in the Bible. It denotes Divine testimony. Fullness is not lacking in any essentials being at the highest or greatest degree. That’s why the Bible says it pleased the Father that in Him shall all fullness dwell. It represents the 3 manifestations of God, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. We are made in His image and likeness; God is a triune spirit Father, Son, and Holy Ghost we are made a triophony having body, soul and spirit hence created in fullness. Fullness Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Omniscience, Omnipotent, Omnipresence Body, Soul, Spirit, Death, Burial, Resurrection, Outer Court, Inner Court, Holy of Holies, Tabernacle, Temple, Pentecost, 30, 60, 100 fold, fruit, more fruit, much fruit. The reason why so many people who call themselves saved and sanctified are having so much trouble is because they have failed to come to the understanding of the fullness of who and who’s they are. When Peter denied Christ 3 times, it represented rejection of the fullness by Peter, that’s why when God asked Peter in a vision “Lovest thou me” 3 times, it represented a fullness of love for God by Peter. 3 represents fullness.
The number 6 is mans number, it is 2x3; however, 2 speaks of division and 3 of manifestation; therefore 6 denotes the manifestation of evil. The number 6 means short of perfection, because it falls short of the perfect number 7 indicating incompleteness, that’s what man is without Christ, incomplete. No matter how great man may think themselves to be, or how sufficient they feel they are without God they fall short of perfection and are incomplete.
The number 7 is God’s number, composed of 4+3, 4 = the creature (man) and 3 = manifestation; therefore 7 represents the creature (man) manifesting the Creator (God). It represents spiritual completeness and spiritual perfection.
The number 8 means a new beginning and jubilee. After the flood there were 8 souls saved that had the responsibility to replenish the earth and start a new.
The number 11 means chaos, confusion, destruction, pandemonium, and mayhem. It is more that 10, which represents complete order (thus the Ten Commandments) and is less than 12 which represents Divine government; (the New Jerusalem the 12 gates, the 12 foundations, and 12 angels) therefore the number 11 is disorder, imperfection, and incompleteness of “EARTHLY” government
WATCH THIS: September 11th will forever be remembered as 911. 9+1+1 (= 11), remember 11 = chaos. The World Trade Center, when standing looked like the number 11. The first plane to hit the first tower was flight number 11. There are 11 letters in the name New York City, There are 11 letters in The Pentagon, and There are 11 letters in the name Afghanistan. September 11th is the 254th day of the year, 2+5+4=11, from September 11th to December 31st is 111 days. What you trying to say preacher, I’m trying to say September 11th was a day of utter chaos, but look at the hands of God.
Man some years ago developed a system called 911 and the premise of this 911 system was if you were in trouble, danger, and needed help all you had to do was dial 911, it was supposed to be so advanced that you didn’t have to say a word. Once you dialed 911 your location would automatically appear at the 911 center and they would send the police to your location to help you in whatever area you needed.
Many people believed that this was why the attack on America took place on 911, because it was a supposed to be a slap in the face of America from the terrorist saying look you better dial 911 and get help, but we are not fighting against flesh and blood, Osamah Bin-Laden is not the enemy, Saddam Hussain is not the enemy, but what we are fighting is far more fierce enemy then that and its not fought with physical means because physical means cant do anything to it, but our weapons are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. We fight against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” The reason the attack on America took place on 911 was not an intended slap in the face of America in order to humiliate us by the terrorist but was a wake up slap from a dead sleep that America was in by God, in other words God was trying to get the attention of the church that abides here in America. The church is comprised of those that believe in the Lord, who are called by His name and according to His purpose, that is the church.
Man in his finite wisdom thought that they were really doing something when they came up with this 911 system, but they didn’t realize that God had already established a 911 system. Psalms 91:1. Psalms 91 is believed to have been written by Moses during the wilderness years, (no doubt Moses needed to dial 911 on many different occasions) so we see God’s 911 has been in effect for a long time.
I know what somebody is thinking no doubt you are saying didn’t you just say a few minutes ago that 9+1+1=11 and that 11 = chaos, yes but God wants you to know, wants the church to know that in the midst of chaos, in the midst of confusion, in the midst of sorrow, in the midst of disappointments, in the midst of destruction He is all the help we need.
People are running around talking about On 911 terrorist attacked America changing our way of life forever. On 911 we found out just how vulnerable we were. On 911 we developed a sense of fear that we didn’t have before, no longer our we safe in airplanes or high building, no longer do we just hear of terrorist attacks on the news and say that’s a shame. On 911 destruction, devastation, confusion, and chaos were manifested. On 911 sorrow ripped through the hearts of America. On 911 thousands of people lost their lives. And that is true, but that’s the problem ON 911 man has put his trust on a system, but IN 911 Psalms 91:1 The Bible says that “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
WATCH THIS:
The word dwelleth = to remain for a time, to stay. So many people have what I call winter salvation. When its winter they’re in church, but just as soon as the weather begins to get warm they leave the church, turn their back on God and wonder why all HELL is breaking loose in their lives, its because they haven’t dwelled, they didn’t stay in the secret place.
The word secret = a: kept from knowledge or view, constructed so as to elude observation or detection.
The word place =: 1 a: physical environment: b: a way for admission or transit c: physical surroundings: 2 a: an indefinite region or expanse b: a building or locality used for a special purpose 6 a: a proper or designated niche b: an appropriate moment or point.
Watch this: When you dwell in the secret place of the most high, its like being in the ark, you are perfectly sheltered in Him and are able to pass through the storms of this life without the devil being able to do you any harm, why because you are in a secret, safe, and secure place and that’s in Christ Jesus.
In 911 I realize I have a resting place. In 911 I realize I got a hiding place. In 911 I’m covered by the shadow of the Almighty. As long as I dwell in 911 I don’t have to be afraid of the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day. Nor the pestilences that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday, I’m in my secret place and No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper as long as I stay in the secret place.
Verse 11 & 12 says “For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” Angels are given charge over me as long as I stay in the secret place all hell can break loose, but in my secret place everything is alright. EXAMPLE: I’d like to use my good friend Job. Job dwelt in the secret place and the devil was not able to get to him, When questioned by God about Job, the devil became frustrated and said I can’t get to him because you have a hedge around him, that hedge is the secret place and as long as you stay in the secret place the devil can’t do any thing to you with out God allowing it to happen.
The reason why the devil has a field day with us is because we leave our secret place and get out where the enemy reigns and wonder why we are being spiritually poisoned to death, because we got out of our secret place instead of going higher and higher and killing that snake.
I am reminded of a song we used to sing, “In the Word of God I got a hiding place.”
