I. Know The TRUTH.
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32)
A. Truth is a fact. It is something that is real and existent.
B. The Bible tells us that truth is:
(1) A Person - Jesus Christ (John 14:6; 1:17)
(2) The Word of God and His promises (John 17:17; Rom. 15:8).
C. We come to know the PERSON of truth by knowing the WORD of truth. When we come to know Jesus and all that He has done for us we can begin to trust Him with our lives.
II. Begin To TRUST.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." (Prov. 3:5, 6).
A. To trust in the Lord means to have total reliance on Him. You must have complete and total dependence upon Him. This comes from hearing His word of TRUTH (Eph. 1:13).
B. Trust is the opposite of worry. Many continue to worry simply because they have no trust in the Lord. The Bible tells us not to worry but to give our problems and needs over to Him (1 Pet. 5:7; Phil. 4:6-8; Matt. 6:25-34). Numbers the 14th chapter gives us a picture of people who decided that they would rather live in defeat than trust God and His promises.
C. The Lord has promised to meet all our needs and desires. He promises that when we trust in Him, He will fulfill our needs and desires (Ps 37:4-5). To TRUST the Lord is to be rooted and grounded in the TRUTH. God promises to that we will become like trees (Jer. 17:17). This will lead to TRIUMPH.
III. This Leads To TRIUMPH.
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ." (2 Cor. 2:14).
A. To be triumphant is to have the victory over every circumstance and situation that could come in life. Negative circumstances will come in life because many are the afflictions of the righteous (Ps. 34:19), but the triumph is in the fact that the lord delivers us out of THEM ALL.
B. Satan desires no more than to see christians living defeated. Learn the Truth about him. He is your enemy. He is the source of sickness, poverty, and everything else that is negative in life. God is the source of all that is good (James 1:17).
C. When we learn the TRUTH concerning God and the devil, we will stop blaming Him for the negative. We will begin to TRUST God with every situation. We will learn to resist our enemy (James 4:7; 1 Pet. 5:8,9), and walk in TRIUMPH.
