61:1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me;
This is the key to all work in God! If the Lord is not there, then we labour in vain.

1) “Anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;”
2) “He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,”

4)To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD:
LEV 25:
25 If anyone becomes poor and sells some of his land, then his nearest relatives may redeem it.
26 If there is no one else to redeem it, and he himself gets together enough money,
27 then he may always buy it back at a price proportionate to the number of harvests until the Jubilee, and the owner must accept the money and return the land to him.
28 But if the original owner is not able to redeem it, then it shall belong to the new owner until the Year of Jubilee; but at the Jubilee year it must be returned again.
Jesus becomes our Jubilee:
In the year of Jubilee every kind of oppression had to cease, and every one found their redemer in the Lord Himself.

The word for God here is Elohim, or Righteous Judge.
Vengence in this situation is the idea of executing rightous judgement, vindicating one from wrongs and avenging an injured person.
