Why Is Jesus Christ the Only Way of Salvation?
Galatians 1:6-9
The first attack on this subject will usually be the Holy Scriptures. People will tell you that it is old and out dated and it cant apply to our lives today. If you destroy the Holy Scriptures or even if you say that one thing is erroneous then you are trying to take away the final authority of the Bible and place it on a man.
This is one of Satan’s greatest schemes. And many many people are pulled into this deception. Even in some of our Baptist churches today we have some that do not believe that the Bible is absolute truth. And that it should only be used as a guide. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!
There are also people that will tell you that other religions are OK that Allah and Buddha is the same God as The Jehovah God of the scriptures. Let me give you a statement that Bob Record shared one time when asked “With all the religions out there saying that there are different ways to get to heaven, what makes you believe that yours is the only way?” and Bob Record said and I quote “let me answer your question with another question, If there was another way of Salvation, what kind of God would we have that would send His only son to be killed?”
There was no other way the Bible tells us in Hebrews 9:22 …and without shedding of blood is no remission.
You will hear people tell you that MY god would not send anyone to hell MY god is a god of love MY god… Folks you need to quit this idea of God and Search the scriptures to learn about the TRUE God. To have an Idea of God or My God is Idolatry and it an abomination to God.
To say that the Bible is not absolute truth is to error from the faith.
they are extremely dangerous because they contain just enough truth to cause even Christians to be deceived. That is why it is so important that we study the scripture and know what they say.
Now after having given you some things that you may hear from these false teachers, let us answer the question at hand Why Is Jesus Christ the Only Way of Salvation?
1. He is the only Son of GOD by the confession of many.
a. Jesus was professed to be the Son of God by the Angels Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
b. He was professed to be the Son of God by His own disciples. John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
c. He was professed to be the Son of God by God Himself. Matt. 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
d. Even the demons profess Him to be the Son of God.
Luke 4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
e. even those who crucified Jesus professed Him to be the Son of God. Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
2. He is the only sacrifice that is accepted of God. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me
