Galatians 6:7-9“Its Due Season”
We’ve crossed over the threshold of another year. The year 2002. Many of the great bishops, pastors, and evangelists, proclaim and profess that the Lord has given them divine revelation concerning his will for the body of Christ, this year. To sum it all up many have titled this year as the “year of manifestation.” Simply meaning that we as believers will tangibly, somebody say tangibly, see the manifestation of the promises that God made to us. W shall move from words to actions, we shall move from dreams to reality, we shall move from promise to possession. Are you there?
Now, you must understand that I do not profess to be a prophet, but I am an anointed vessel of God, and am able to discern when God is and is not speaking. I say all of that to say that I am greatly inclined in my spirit to agree with the words of these men and women of God. Are you there?
Yes, Yes, this is the year of manifestation. This is the year in which many of us shall possess Canaan. This is the year in which many of us shall eat the good of the Land. This is the year in which many of us shall really take back everything that the enemy has stolen. This is the year in which many of us shall reap a harvest. Yes this is due season!!!
Lets look at our text.
Lets start with verse 9. It says “ And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Somebody say due season. Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines the word due as something that rightfully belongs to you. And the word season means a special period. So I put both of these definitions together to come up with my own definition. So, due season is –a special period of time when we shall receive that which rightfully belongs to us. Are you there? Somebody scream its due season!!!
Yeah, so due season means a period in time when we shall receive that which rightfully belongs to us. And people of God I have to admit that when the Lord told me that it was due season. There was one question that entered into my mind. Why now? So I asked the Lord. I said Lord why now? Why is it due season now? And his response blew my mind. The Lord simply replied, why not now!! He said what better time is there than now. He said haven’t you cried long enough, he said haven’t you prayed long enough. He said haven’t you fasted long enough. Hasn’t your mind been troubled long enough. Haven’t you been broke long enough. He said why not now? And I wanna know is there anybody here who’s cried long enough? I wanna know is there anybody here who’s prayed long enough? I wanna know is there anybody here who’s been broke long enough. The Lord said in Exodus 3:7-8 “I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt…and I am come down to deliver them out of the hands of the Egyptians.” Somebody scream its due season!!!!
Yeah, it’s due season. Now, lets keep our definition of due season in mind. Remember due season is a special period of time when we shall receive that which rightfully belongs to us. Are you there? So now we ask the question what is it that rightfully belongs to us? Exactly what is it that we should be expecting to see manifested in this year? I’m glad you asked? Lets look at our text again. Lets start at verse 7. (read text verse 7-8) Today I want to talk to those of us who have been sowing to the spirit. Verse 8.(read) The second part of verse 8 says ‘but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.’
Those of us that are saved, sanctified and washed in the blood of the lamb. Those of us that have been redeemed and delivered, those of us who strive to do nothing but the perfect will of God, those of us who soweth to the spirit or those of us who are led by the spirit, can I get a witness? We shall reap a harvest full of life. Are you there? Now, what we must understand is, the harvest were going to receive will be a 2 fold harvest. We shall receive a harvest in the spirit realm as well as in the natural realm. For 3 John 1:2 says “ Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” So this lets us know that the Lord is not only concerned about our spiritual well being but he’s also concerned about our natural well being. Are you there?
Yeah, were going to reap a harvest in the spirit realm as well as in the natural realm. In the spirit realm were going to reap a harvest in the area of ministry. Yeah, ministry. I’m not just referring to ministry in the sense of the church but also in our own individual ministries, as members of the body of Christ. Because what you must understand is that each of us have a ministry. And our ministry consists of winning souls for the kingdom of God. And were going to see an increase in the level of anointing and authority in our ministries. Joel 2:28 says, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I shall pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and daughters shall prophesy and your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” Now understand that this prophecy has already been fulfilled. In acts chapter 2. on the day of Pentecost. I say this to say that God is not going to pour out his spirit again he’s already done that once, but he’s going to cause the spirit that he’s already placed in us to elevate to such an incredible level. People of God hear me, were going to see an increase in the utilization of the gifts of the spirit like never before. Listen you might as well get ready, because god is getting ready to take you to such a place in your ministry that you won’t even believe it your self. But don’t be frightened when these things begin to manifest because that’s what you’ve been praying for, that’s what you’ve been fasting for, that’s what you’ve been laying before God for, those are the type of seed that’s you’ve been sowing all this time. And it’s due season. So don’t be surprised if that old hell-raising cousin says he wants to go to church with you next Sunday. Don’t be shocked when that coworker ask you to go in the break room and pray with them, Don’t be alarmed when that disobedient son or daughter comes home one day and says mama I’m sorry, daddy I’m sorry, please forgive. Somebody scream it’s due season!!
The other area that God spoke to me concerning a harvest in the spirit realm, was in our overall spiritual well being. Galatians 5:22-23 says “ But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against this there is no law.” How much of the fruit of the spirit a believer displays is a vital method used in measuring our overall spiritual well being.
People of God, when we were in our sowing season, when we were striving to walk upright, when we were trying to be obedient to Gods word, when we were trying to fulfill everything that God required of us, sometimes it looked like it was all in vain. It seemed like the more we lived for Christ the more hell we had to endure. I don’t know about you but sometimes during the sowing season it was hard to exhibit the fruit of the spirit. It was hard to love somebody who stabbed you in the back. It was hard to have joy with no money in my pocket. It was hard to have peace when little Johnny and little sue didn’t come home at night. It was hard to have faith when you heard God say it but you didn’t see it. Somebody scream it’s due season!!!
In my days of living I have never seen more depressed Christians in my life. It seems as if we’ve turned being saved into a chore. Something that we have to do, that merits little or no benefits. And the fruit of the spirit have become almost nonexistent. But this year, somebody say this year, that’s about to change, because God is about to prove himself to you in such a way that he’s never done before. What do I mean by that? Whenever God brings you out of something, whenever God delivers you out of a situation, whenever God solves one of your problems, it seems to get a little easier to have faith. It seems to get a little easier to have joy, it seems to get a little easier to be longsuffering, to be meek to have temperance. And now that it’s due season, a special period in time in which you will receive everything that rightfully belongs to you. Now that God is about to perform the ultimate miracle. Now that God is about to release that pressed down shaken together and running over blessing, Now that God is about to release things that eyes have not seen nor have ears heard, Now that God is about to prove himself once again, Our spirits will have such a yearning and zeal for God that we won’t have a choice but to exhibit the fruit of the spirit.
We see it all the time people who have millions of dollars, large homes and expensive cars, committing suicide because they were lonely because they had no peace because they had no Joy. But God told me to tell you that not only is he gonna give you some new stuff this year but he’s gonna give you some new joy to go along with your new stuff. Somebody scream it’s due season!!!
Yeah it’s due season. So in the spirit realm we should expect to reap a harvest in the area concerning our ministry and in the area regarding our spiritual well being.
Now in the natural realm were going to receive a harvest in the area surrounding our finances. That’s right our money. For those us who have been faithful in the giving of our money, for kingdom building God is going to release an abundance of wealth to us. For those of us who have been faithful in paying our tithe, in accordance with Malachi 3:10, God truly is about to open up the windows of heaven and pour us out a blessing that we won’t have room enough to receive it.
Luke 6:38 says “Give, and it shall be given unto you good measure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over shall men give unto your bosom, For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” The first part of the scripture says give and it shall be given unto you. Now watch this I’m about to mess you up. The word shall is the present tense of the word should. So that means should is the past tense for the word shall. Stay with me now. So the scripture could read; give, and it should be given unto you. According to the dictionary the word should, is a word used to express obligation. So lets put it all together. If I give, then the one whom I gave to is obligated, to give unto me. Which takes us right back to where we started from. Because if I give to you, and your obligated to give to me, your just simply giving me that which rightfully belongs to me. Somebody scream its due season!!! And on top of that, remember that the word should is past tense for the word shall. So that means that what God is about to give me is actually past due. So now when God gives it to me it has accrued interest. Can I get a witness? So I stand here to tell you to get ready to receive your money, with interest. Get ready to receive your new house with interest, get ready to receive your new car with interest. For it’s due season!!! Somebody scream it’s due season!!!
The other area in the natural realm that we should anticipate a harvest in is our relationships, relationships of all kinds, from husband and wife relationships to friendships. What we must understand is that in these last days, it’s going to take teamwork in order for the body of Christ to effectively fulfill the mandate that God has given us. Mathew 18:19-20 says “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them of my father which is in heaven. (20) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Jesus himself realized and understood that there was something special about unity, something special about togetherness.
And what God said was this year he’s going to begin to establish and reestablish covenant relationships among his people. What do I mean by that? What I mean by that is, you brothers who have been searching for your good thing, who have been looking for your wife, get ready because this year her identity shall be revealed to you. You sisters, who have been awaiting your Boaz to take notice of you, get ready because this year his eyes shall surely be opened. God said that he is about to restore the family structure back to it’s rightful order. It seems that we live in a time now where parents and children have switched roles. The kids are telling the parents what to do, and the bad part about that is that many of the parents are actually doing what their kids tell them to do. Are you there? On the other end of the spectrum I’ve never seen so many churches full of young people while their parents stay at home. It used to be a time where mama couldn’t pay you to go into the church house, now you can’t pay mama to go into the church house. But somebody say it’s due season!!
Yeah it’s due season and all of that is about to change. God said he is about to tear down those destructive alliances you have and replace them with fruitful alliances. Which simply means, that some of those friends you got that mean you no good, are about to go bye-bye. God is really about to expose the devil, this year. God is about to show you everybody who you thought was for you but was really against you. And you don’t have to worry about how your going to tell them to take a hike because God is gonna do it for you. God is gonna set up certain circumstances in your life that will cause those people to just fade out of the picture. And don’t worry about being lonely because God is going to place people in your life who have your best interest in mind, people who have been anointed specifically to impart spiritual virtues into your life. People whom you will edify and who will edify you.
Get ready people of God. Husbands and wives, father and sons, mother and daughters, parents and children, friends and enemies. For it’s due season!!!
God said in Genesis 2:18 “ It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” And not only do you need somebody to help you with the general things in life but you’re gonna need somebody to help you enjoy all your new stuff Gods gonna bless you with!!! Somebody scream it’s due season!!!
So in the natural realm were gonna reap a harvest in our finances and in our relationships.
And as I get ready to close I wanna know is there anybody here that really believes that it’s due season. I wanna know is there anybody hear that really believes that this is the year of manifestation. Is there anybody here that knows your next in line for a miracle? Is there any body here that knows your breakthrough is on the way. Is there anybody here that’s sick and tired of being sick and tired? Is there anybody here that really believes that It’s Due Season!!
