INVADE THE DARKNESS
(ACTS 26:16-18)
INTRO: You will soon learn that the world in which we live is not as bright and glittery as one would desire. It appears that Satan is causing darkness to infiltrate our land and our lives. It is time for Christians, young and old, alike to: Invade the Darkness.
1. WE CANNOT INVADE DARKNESS WITH DARKNESS
1.1. The world is yearning for an answer
1.1.1. They are giving out syringe needles for drug addicts
1.1.2. Pill, contraceptive to stop aids and pregnancy
1.1.3. Churches are permitting anyone to participate in spiritual activities, etc.
1.1.4. Matthew 12:25 – 26
2. INVADE DARKNESS WITH THE LIGHT: JESUS CHRIST
2.1. Jn. 8:12 “I am the Light of the World”
2.2. Where He is there is no darkness – Ps. 139:11-12
2.3. He wants to be your light – Jn. 3:21
3. INVADE DARKNESS WITH YOUR LIGHT
3.1. Mat. 5:14-16 “You are the light”
3.2. Walk in the light – Job 29:3
3.2.1. You are a guide to the blind – Rom 2:19
4. INVADE THE DARKNESS WITH YOUR LOVE
4.1. Mark 12:30-31
4.2. We cannot say we have love if we don’t have light
4.2.1. 1 Jn. 2:9
5. WE CANNOT INVADE IT WITH SPARKS - 2 Tim. 1:6
5.1. Only when we feel like it, is not invading it
5.2. We need something permanent not temporarily
6. INVADE DARKNESS WHILE YOU CAN, FOR THEN COMES THE REWARD
6.1. The light will be eternal
6.1.1. Is. 9:1
6.2. There will always be light
6.2.1. Rev. 22:5
