I. WHAT DOES THE WORD OF GOD TELLS ABOUT THIS?
A. The Bible prohibits the practice of: -
i. Divination – (practice in knowing the future)
ii. Sorcery - (the use of power with the assistance of evil spirits)
iii. Interprets omens – (to interpret dreams through evil spirits)
iv. Engages in withcrafts – (practice of magic with the help of the devil or spirits)
v. Cast spells – (those that do incantations through spirits)
vi. Consulting the dead – (in New York many are abusing those that lost loved ones by telling them that they can talk to the dead)
vii. It’s a abomination (disgusting or hatred)
Rebellion – 1 Sm 15:22 “For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of
the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”
II. OBJECTS THAT ARE ABOMINABLE TO GOD

III. WHY AVOID THOSE THINGS”
A. God knows our future –
i. Jer. 29:11-13 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
B. Seek the Creator and not the creation –
i. Amos 5:8 “Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:”
C. Ask Forgiveness – Debemos pedir perdon
i. 1 Jn. 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Conclusion: We have to face reality! Many of our youths and children will be influence by the Harry Potter series and many other characters that we know teach contrary to the Word of God. Let us be Biblical knowledgeable so that we can counterattack the enemy and know how to answer with power from up high!
