Heb 13:8
The same in Love (Jesus personified the Love of God)
Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
1Jo 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
This is not only speaking of Jesus dying on the Cross, This is speaking of how he lived not for himself but for others, (he came not to be ministered unto but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many).
The same in Mercy: Jn 8:10-11 When they brought a woman to Jesus taken in adultery. Jesus asked these words of her. (hath no man condemned thee)?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
The same in Compassion:
Mt 14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Mr 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
The same in Hatred of dead Religion:
Mt 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Mt 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Mt 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
The same in his Hatred for sickness and disease: (Jesus was a man at war with Satan)
Ps 139:22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Jesus counted demons and sickness and disease as enemies and destroyed them every time he came into contact with them.
The bible directly links sickness and disease with the works of Satan.
(Acts 10:38) How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him.
The same in Purpose: = (a) Lu 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. –(b) 1Jn 3:8 To destroy the works of the devil
These are essentially two facets of the same purpose.
Jesus reason for coming is to (1) restore to us everything that adam lost, To accomplish this he must (2) confront and conquer the enemy who holds the souls of men in captivity, Ie. He must deliver us.
The same in Power: (He is the same in His miraculous nature), Jesus demonstrated his Everything Jesus did as pertains to his miraculous nature was one or more of the gifts of the Spirit that were at work through him by the power of the Holy Ghost
Ac 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Jesus himself said:
Lu 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Acts 10:38 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
(heb 13:8)
Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today, and forever.
It is not Jesus in the sky that is the answer to the ills of this world, It is Jesus in you, and Jesus In me.
The same Jesus with the same Holy Ghost anointing and Power.
The same spirit (anointing-Power) that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us and quickens our mortal bodies.
