SCRIPTURE READING: PSALM CHAP. 85 V.1-6
Psalm 85:1
Psalm 85:2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
Psalm 85:3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned [thyself] from the fierceness of thine anger.
Psalm 85:4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
Psalm 85:5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
TEXT SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
INTRODUCTION: What we don’t need is just another series of services and label it revival. But rather what is needed is a old time, old fashioned, old timy, holy ghost annointed, sin killing, devil stomping, sinner praying, saint praising, fire kindling, power packing, life changing, reconciling, soul saving, God breathing , heaven sent Revival.
COMMENT:
God desires more from us than having one or two weeks out af a year and designate it for revival. True revival cannot be planned or programed. We cant expect the evangelist to bring revival in his briefcase, or in his sermon outline book. When real revival comes, its going to be because the church has got down on her knees and prayed like she did in days of old. When the saints start praying, God’s fire starts churning, and the heavens begin opening, and the spirit begans descending with the fresh outpouring of the Holy Ghost.
God wants not only for us to expierence revival, but rather he want us to remain in a spirit of revival continually, praying and praising the name of the lord, god almighty.
COMMENT:
WHEN REAL REVIVAL COMES , THERE WILL BE SOME SIGNS AND EVIDENCES THAT HIS PRESENCE IS PRESENT AND HIS SPIRIT HAS DESCENDED UPON THE CHURCH-OR INDIVIDUAL.
COMMENT
I BELIEVE THAT EVEN IF THE CHURCH IS NOT IN REVIVAL, THAT INDIVIDUALS CAN BE AND WALK IN THE FIRE OF THE HOLY GHOST AND EXPIERENCE A "REAL REVIVAL".
3 SIGNS OR EVIDENCES THAT YOU MAY BE IN, OR MAY BE EXPIERENCING A "REAL REVIVAL" :
1-WHEN REAL REVIVAL COMES - THERE WILL BE GENUINE(REAL)REPENTANCE IN THE HEARTS OF MAN.
2-WHEN REAL REVIVAL COMES- THERE WILL BE A RENEWAL OF SPIRIT IN THE CHURCH & INDIVIDUAL’S LIVES.
3-WHEN REAL REVIVAL COMES-THERE WILL BE REJOICING(A SHOUT & A PRAISE) AGAIN IN THE CAMP(HOUSE) OF GOD.
COMMENT
IT’S TIME WE GET OUR SHOUT BACK, AND PRAISE THE LORD LIKE WE DID WHEN WE FIRST RECEIVED CHRIST AS OUR PERSONAL SAVIOUR. DO YOU REMEMBER THE JOY YOU EXPIERENCED, THE PEACE AND CONTENTMENT YOU FELT. WEV’E BEEN ROBBED LONG ENOUGH. IT’S TIME TO GET IT BACK, IN JESUS NAME.

1-REPENTANCE-ACTS-3 V-19- Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
COMMENT:
REFRESHING’S WILL COME AFTER TRUE REPENTANCE AND A HEARTFELT CONVERSION TAKES PLACE. THE BIBLE SAYS THAT GODLY SORROW WORKETH REPENTANCE. SOME PEOPLE IS NOT GODLY SORRY, BUT THEY ARE JUST SORRY THAT THEY GOT CAUGHT. THE BIBLE SAYS THAT YOUR SINS SHALL FIND YOU OUT.
SCRIPTURE:
2 Chronicles 7:12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
COMMENT:
DON’T QUIT PRAYING JUST BECAUSE THE ANSWER HASN’T COME YET!!!! THE LORD CAME TO SOLOMON IN THE NIGHT AND SAID, I HAVE HEARD YOUR PRAYER, SO KEEP ON PRAYING UNTIL GOD HEARS AND GOD SPEAKS.
2 Chronicles 7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
COMMENT:
THERE ARE NO SHORTCUT’S TO REVIVAL.DID YOU HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID? THRE ARE NO SHORTCUT’S TO A REAL, GOD SENT HOLY GHOST REVIVAL. GOD’S WORD SAYS WE CAN HAVE A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENY THE POWER THEREOF. DO YOU WANT A FORM OF GODLINESS, OR DO YOU WANT THE POWER OF GOD?
COMMENT
WE TREAT GOD LIKE WE ARE GOING THROUGH THE DRIVE-THRU AT BURGER KING. THEY HAVE A SLOGAN IN THER’E ADVERTISING & MARKETING DEPT. WHICH SAYS: "HAVE IT YOUR WAY", REFERING TO THEIR "WHOPPER" FLAME-BROILED BURGER. GOD HAS A SLOGAN TOO. HERE IS GOD’S SLOGAN: ("YOU CAN HAVE IT YOUR WAY BUT IF YOU WANT IT TO (LAST AND BE REAL) IT MUST BE MY WAY.) IF ALL WE WANT TO DO IS HAVE CHURCH, HE WILL LET US DO THAT. BUT IF WE WANT TO GO FURTHER INTO HIS COURTS ,INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES AND THE MOST-HOLY PLACE ,TO SEE THE GLORY(SHEKINAH)OF GOD, WE MUST FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS(BIBLE) AND DO IT GOD’S WAY.
ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS TO REVIVAL THERE IS A BIBLICAL FORMULA FOR A GOD SENT, HOLY GHOST ANNOINTED, "REAL REVIVAL". DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE REVIVED. HERE’S THE FORMULA RIGHT FROM GOD’S WORD:
SCRIPTURE:
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
COMMENT:
FORMULA FOR REAL REVIVAL: DEPENDENT ON THE FIRST WORD OF THE PREVIOUS SCRIPTURE READING, "IF" WE ARE GOING TO HAVE REAL REVIVAL IT MUST BE DONE GOD’S WAY.
HUMILITY+PRAYER+HUNGER+REPENTANCE=
COMMENT:
JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS THE FORERUNNER OF JESUS. HIS MESSAGE WAS A MESSAGE OF REPENTANCE.

Matthew 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
Matthew 3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
Matthew 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Matthew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Matthew 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:
Matthew 3:12 Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
2-RENEWAL- PSALMS 103 V. 1-5-Psalm 103:1 <[A Psalm] of David.> Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name.
Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Psalm 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Psalm 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day.
COMMENT:
WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT, THIS OUTWARD MAN IS GETTING OLDER AND IS PERISHING, BUT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS THAT THE INWARD MAN IS RENEWED DAY BY DAY. REMEMBER WHAT THE LORD’S PRAYER SAID, "GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD". WE MUST BE RENEWED DAILY.
COMMENT
I DONT WANT TO MEDDLE, BUT HOW CAN FOLKS BE RENEWED ON A DAILY BASIS WITHOUT NEVER PICKING UP THE WORD THROUGHOUT THE WEEK IN STUDY. OR NEVER SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH THE LORD IN PRAYER.
COMMENT
GOD SAID TO ENTER INTO THE CLOSET IN SECRET AND THEN GOD WOULD REWARD YOU OPENLY. THE CLOSET IS MORE THAN PRAYING IN CHURCH,(THAT CORPORATE PRAYER), GOD WANT PERSONAL AND INTIMATE,PRIVATE TIME WITH JUST YOU AND HIM,(THATS PRIVATE AND PERSONAL PRAYER). YOU WANT HAVE TO TELL NO’ONE YOUVE BEEN READING AND PRAYING, IT WILL SHOW FOR ITSELF. FOLKS CAN TELL WHEN YOURE DOING WHAT YOUR SUPPOSED TOO AND ALSO THEY CAN TELL WHEN WERE NOT DOING THE RIGHT THINGS.
SCRIPTURE:
2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory;
2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.
Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
COMMENT:
GOD WANT US TO BE RENEWED IN OUR MIND.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove
what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
COMMENT:
THE WORD TRANSFORMED MEANS TO BE CHANGED. SO WHAT GOD IS SAYING HE WANTS US TO HAVE A CHANGE OF MIND. THINK CHRISTLIKE AND GODLY AND OPEN MINDED TO WHAT THE LORD IS SAYING AND IS WANTING TO DO.
SCRIPTURE:
Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Colossians 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

3-WHEN REVIVAL COMES- THERE WILL BE REJOICING WITHIN THE CAMP OF GOD.
COMMENT:
WHERE IS OUR JOY? WHERE IS THE REJOICING? WEVE LET THE DEVIL TAKE AND STEAL WHAT WE HAVE FOR TOO LONG. I SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. IT’S TIME TO GET OUR SHOUT BACK, OUR RUN BACK, OUR DANCE BACK. WHEN REAL REVIVAL COMES WE WILL SEE ONCE AGAIN A GENUINE MOVE OF GOD’S SPIRIT IN THE LIVES OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.
Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
Psalm 9:1
Psalm 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
Psalm 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all [ye that are] upright in heart.
Psalm 118:24 This [is] the day [which] the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
CONCLUSION-Psalm 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
REAL REVIVAL WILL BRING:
A-REPENTANCE
B-CONVERSION
C-RESTORATION
D-RENEWAL
E-REJOICING
LET’S PRAY FOR A REAL GOD SENT ,HOLY GHOST ANNOINTED,LIFE CHANGING, SOUL SAVING REVIVAL.
