“A NEW DAY OF PROMISE”
NEW BEGINNING
TEXT : DEUT 30:1-11 & HEB. 12: 1-2
Key verse 9 “ AND THE LORD THY GOD WILL MAKE THEE PLENTEOUS IN EVERY WORK OF THINE HAND, IN THE FRUIT OF THY CATTLE, AND IN THE FRUIT OF THY LAND, FOR GOOD: FOR THE LORD WILL AGAIN REJOICE OVER THEE FOR GOOD, AS HE REJOICED OVER THY FATHERS.”
New Year’s eve: The night when many promises are vowed. Many resolutions are made to husbands or wives, to family members, to employees, to ourselves and to GOD.
Resolution; the act of resolving a problem, purpose, situation.
Resolve: to decide or determine to do something.
These resolutions or promises are a direct outcome of someone looking back over their life for the last year and not being satisfied or just realizing they have took for granted or missed out on opportunities.
Many people whether saint or sinners look back and realized that they missed out on the blessings GOD gave them and because of this they had been cursed with trying to rectify the situations. Some situations are too late to be fixed and they must live with that forever.
JAMES 1:17 “EVERY GOOD GIFTS AND EVERY PERFECT GIFT IS FROM ABOVE, AND COMETH DOWN FROM THE FATHER OF LIGHTS, WITH WHOM IS NO VARIABLENESS, NEITHER SHADOW OF TURNING.”
SAINTS: looking back over the last year and realizing the blessings of GOD in their lives and then come to the realization that they had not finish or fulfilled what they set out to do for GOD. 1) Reading the bible completely through the year. 2) Going out to see the sick at hospitals or visiting the nursing homes. 3) The visitation program and etc… who hinder you? Paul speaking to the Jewish congregations in the book of Galatians 5:7 & 8 “ YE DID RUN WELL; BUT WHO HINDER YOU THAT YE SHOULD NOT OBEY THE TRUTH?” VERSE 8 “ THIS PERSUASION COMETH NOT FROM HIM THAT CALLETH YOU.”
SINNERS: Looking back and realizing the blessings of GOD up on their lives and knowing that have taken then for granted. Then for a moment, purposing in their life to resolve the situation that needs changed. 1) The father or mother who is neglecting their children for the riches or popularities of this world. 2) The drunkard who spends all his family money on booze. 3) The husbands or wives who are cheating on the other, with or without them knowing. 4) The drug addicts that selling to the children at school. 5) The compulsive liar, thief or cheater.6) The one who says I intended to become a Christian.
This is the night, almost all men and women look back and say I will do better this year. For what purpose does man look back?
For man was created in the image of GOD and by GOD, the soul of man longs for redemption unto GOD and realizes that all the good things come from GOD. This is the very conscience of man.
The only true contentment comes from the inner soul of a man knowing that he is in the will of his creator or following the very purpose for which he was created.
For this is the purpose of the spirit of GOD to draw all men to Christ for redemption back unto the purpose of their creations to dwell forever in the presence and beauty of GOD. To reign with him having dominion over the sins of this world so that you can enjoy the beauty and splendor of the Garden of Eden ( delight , pleasantness.)
Our text tonight I know focuses on the restoration of the Israel of the Jewish people. For a lot of this prophecy, many have see it begin in their lifetime. So much more the reason people should stop and look back and see if they are living in the center of the purpose for their creation ( in the center of GOD’S will) I truly believe after reading, praying and studying these scriptures. We need to apply this and let it seek into our very hearts.
Verse 1 “ and it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessings and the curse which I have set before thee.
The greatest blessing of all, is life for which GOD created. The life through Christ Jesus, life more abundant then any thing that man can imagine or create. Becoming reconciled back unto the dwelling place of GOD to enjoy the fullness of the joy of living and having pleasure forever more. Pleasure means true contentment and peace. To dwell in heavenly places far above the earthly things that man has made.
EPHESIANS 1:3 BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WHO HATH BLESSED US WITH ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST.”
EPHESIANS 2:6 “ AND HATH RAISED US UP TO TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS.”
BLESSING; IN THIS TEXT TO HAVE PROSPERITY, PEACE, FAVOR OF GOD.
CURSE: A REVILING, A REPROACH
The curse of GOD could be in knowing that you did not receive the blessings of GOD that was intended for you. A curse could be scattered abroad separated from the one you love from the sins in your life. The lost of your family or homes because you neglected the blessings for which GOD had given unto you. Remember all good things come from GOD above the giver of all good and perfect gifts. The final and most terrifying curse of all is in knowing that you despised and rejected Christ and he has forever passed you by. Judas came to the realization after he betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. He tried to return the money to the high priest, trying to make things right but he had missed his chance. Jesus had prophesied unto him that it would be better for the one who betrays him, not to even been born. Judas therefore realizing his fate ran and killed himself.
The suicide rate is higher in this part of the season than any other because of looking back and realizing the blessing and feeling the curse that they had brought upon themselves for not receiving.
JAMES 1:15 “ THEN WHEN LUST HATH CONCEIVED, IT BRINGETH FORTH SIN: AND SIN, WHEN IT IS FINISHED, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH.”
The curse of GOD is brought upon by sin, which brings the curse of death. Sin drove man out of the Garden of Eden. The dwelling place of GOD, in his presence man had power over all things. Sin brought upon the casting out of, the removing man from the presence of GOD. GOD is sovereign over all things, for he created all things. The curse of GOD is upon man by God departing from man’s presence. Satan has no power in the presence of GOD or his creation unless GOD allows him by removing himself from him. Sin takes man farther than they intend to go. For sin shears the conscience of man by removing the voice of GOD in their inner soul. Sin causes you to be expelled from contentment or pleasure of living in the purpose for which all man was created.
A curse can be felt and upon you immediately, such as the serpent. GOD cursed the serpent to his belly and he forever since has been crawling upon the ground. The curse upon man was expulsion from Eden and travailing in life. Till one day the curse that was put upon him was finally carried out, death. But praise GOD, through Christ we now have life and more abundantly and forever.
ROMANS 6:23 “FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH; BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.”
“ and thou shalt called them to mind among all nation, whither the Lord thy GOD has driven thee.
Israel: while in dispersion, Israel would call to memory the past dealings of GOD and will wake up to realize why that the nation was scattered among all nations.
So many times it is while we are in dispersion or feeling the curse of not dwelling fully in GOD presence that we realize the reason why. We had forgotten or neglected the very blessing of GOD. We have not been in the purpose for which we were placed into this world. The hardest curse for me, is looking back as I was growing up as a Pastor’s son, realizing that I had not taken full advantage of my father being a Minister or Pastor but was to busy complaining or wanting more things of this world. Imagine how much farther knowledge or how much greater relationship I could have had with my father if would have just realize my blessings, study and worked beside him in the Church. I look back and see all the things that occurred because of my rebellion, the curse of sin took me in to harms way of satan. But think GOD one day I realize and cried father not my will but your will be done in my life. The blessing of GOD came deep within side me. The presence of GOD filled me with joy and peace.
Verse 2 “ AND SHALT RETURN UNTO THE LORD THY GOD, AND SHALT OBEY HIS VOICE ACCORDING TO ALL THAT I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY, THOU AND THY CHILDREN WITH ALL THINE HEART, AND WITH ALL THINE SOUL.
Verse 3 “THAT THEN THE LORD THY GOD WILL TURN THY CAPTIVITY, AND HAVE COMPASSION UPON THEE, AND WILL RETURN AND GATHER THEE FROM THE NATIONS, WHITHER THY GOD HATH SCATTERED THEE.”
Israel; For the nations of the chosen people to return and call him lord GOD and obey his commandments. Israel in one day will turn back unto GOD and recognize Jesus Christ as their messiah.
But GOD predestinated you to be born, he knew you were to be born before the beginning of time.
ROMANS 8: 29 “ FOR WHOM HE FOREKNOW (TO APPROVE BEFOREHAND) HE ALSO DID PREDESTINATE (PURPOSE FOR YOU) TO BE CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON THAT HE MIGHT BE THE FIRSTBORN AMONG THE BRETHEN.
ROMAN8:30 “ MOREOVER ( MUCH MORE) WHOM HE DID PREDESTINATE( PURPOSE FOR YOU) THEM HE ALSO CALLED AND WHOM HE CALLED, THEM HE ALSO JUSTIFIED: AND WHOM HE JUSTIFIED, THEM HE ALSO GLORIFIED.”
GENESIS 1:26 “ AND GOD SAID, LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE AFTER OUR LIKENESS.
Captivity is cause by sin. Sin brought man into captivity (no longer has dominion over anything including his own actions and feelings) separated man from the image or purpose for which man was created. But through Christ and Israel rejection we as Gentiles (all men were engrafted in) are called to return unto GOD to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. All children are the heritage of GOD. We were approved to be created ( born) into this world by GOD with the purpose of us to become as Christ. To return unto the image for which man was created. Christ came to undo the curse through him so all men could be spiritually resurrected in the image of Christ the very purpose of GOD creations. Christ is the first born of this nation and he is calling all to return. To be reconciled back unto our creator, The GOD of all the universe to dwell in the Garden of Eden forever, to drink from the river of life that flows from the throne of GOD.
Verse 4 “ if any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy GOD gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
Israel: This prophecy is already taking place for out of every nations, the Jewish people been returning unto their homeland. Everyday many more are returning to their native soil.
Through sin man was split up, the land became separated and many new languages were made. This was beginning of different nations and races that today we see in our earth. But Jesus Christ came so all men may come back unto GOD. For this reason he spoke unto his disciples.
MARK: 16: 15 “AND HE SAID UNTO THEM, GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL ( the good news of Jesus Christ and his restoration for all mankind) TO EVERY CREATURE.”
The lord is calling all to the purpose ( predestinated for which they were born , created) into all nations of every tongue, every color, every nationality to this purpose to be conformed to the image of Christ. From the four corner of heaven from which sin has scattered men. To become one nation, standing above all others and possessing the land for which GOD intended man.
I PETER 2:9 “ BUT YE ARE A CHOSEN GENERATIONS, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, AN HOLY NATION, A PECULIAR PEOPLE; THAT YE SHOULD SHEW FORTH THE PRAISES OF HIM WHO HATH CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELLOUS LIGHT:
I PETER 2:10 “ WHICH IN TIME PAST WERE NOT A PEOPLE, BUT ARE NOW THE PEOPLE OF GOD: WHICH HAD NOT OBTAINED MERCY, BUT NOW HAVE OBTAINED MERCY.
Back up to the verse we read in ROMANS 8: 30 “ MOREOVER (MUCH MORE) WHOM HE DID PREDESTINATE( CALLED TO A PURPOSE) THEM HE ALSO JUSTIFIED ( AQUITTED OF SINS ) ( SET FREE FROM CAPTIVITY) AND WHOM HE JUSTIFIED, THEM HE ALSO GLORIFIED. ( IT WILL BE MADE TO LIGHT, TO BE SEEN OF MEN, RECOGNIZED OF GOD, MADE MANIFESTED AMONG ALL NATIONS, SEPARATED BY THE BLESSING OF GOD.
VERSE 5 “ AND THE LORD THY GOD WILL BRING THEE INTO THE LAND WHICH THY FATHERS POSSESSED, AND THOU SHALT POSSESS IT; AND HE WILL DO THEE GOOD, AND MULTIPLY THEE ABOVE THY FATHERS.”
The land where milk and honey flows freely. Where contentment is as GODLINESS, where the abundant of joy flows as a river to all that are inhabitants of that land. Where death as no sting and the grave has no victory and where the river of life flows from the throne of GOD, branching out into different directions, quenching the thirst of those who are inhabitants of this land. Giving life to those on either side with the healing powers of GOD growing as fruit of the land. Where the blessing of GOD is unimaginable for mankind and where the pleasure are for ever more far exceeding, then man has ever know.
Verse 6 “AND THE LORD THY GOD WILL CIRCUMCISE THINE HEART, AND THE HEART OF THY SEED, TO LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH THINE HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, THAT THOU MAYEST LIVE.”
Man cannot break the chains of sin. If you are hear tonight lost without GOD and want to change the habits for which you live. I can assure you that will not and cannot without the grace of GOD in your life. Oh you may change for little while or even give up something in your life but to become the man or woman that your soul desires within you can only come through the love of Jesus Christ. Know man can even begin to what true love is until he feels the love of GOD in his soul.
Satan is telling all men there is no use in trying, for you are no good. You can not change but through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, old things (old man) passes away and behold all things become new (new man)
Circumcision literally means to cut out. He takes out the hardest heart of a man and puts in the heart of GOD, a heart of love. He will open up the gospel unto you and take all hindrances in obeying the truth. One must have a new heart to love GOD and put him first in life and conduct.
EZEKIEL 36:25 “ THEN WILL I SPRINKLE CLEAN WATER UPON YOU, AND YE SHALL BE CLEAN: FROM ALL FILTHINESS, AND FROM ALL YOUR IDOLS, WILL I CLEANSE YOU.”
EZEKIEL 36:26 “A NEW HEART ALSO WILL I GIVE YOU, AND A NEW SPIRIT WILL I PUT WITH IN YOU: AND I WILL TAKE AWAY THE STONY HEART OUT OF YOUR FLESH, AND I WILL GIVE YOU AN HEART OF FLESH.
EZEKIEL 36:27 “ AND I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU, AND CAUSE YOU TO WALK IN THE STATUTES, AND YE SHALL KEEP MY JUDEMENTS AND DO THEM.
Cleanses you from all the sins of this world, takes out the heart of stone and puts in a heart of gentleness, kindness, humbleness, and forgiveness. Put his spirit within you, to keep you, teach you, guide you and fill you with the power of GOD.
VERSE 7 “ AND THE LORD THY GOD WILL PUT ALL THESE CURSES UPON THINE ENEMIES, AND ON THEM THAT HATE THEE, WHICH PERSECUTED YOU.
ISRAEL: every nation that persecutes Israel will pay greatly in the end. All of Israel’s enemies will suffer great losses and will be defeated.
When you give your heart to Jesus Christ you become a child of GOD. Therefore when someone comes against his children they will pay if they do not seek forgiveness. Vengeance is mine sayest the Lord. It is a fearful thing to fall in the hands of a living GOD. If you are spreading tales or backbiting a saint of GOD the curse of GOD will be put upon you. He will pass judgement on you and you will pay for the sins in which you commit. GOD will destroy the enemies against his kingdom. One day Jesus Christ is going to put down all rebellion and judged the dead and turns over the keys TO GOD almighty. The kingdom of GOD will prevail in righteousness.
Satan will be thrown in the lake of fire forever and never more to roam. When you confess Jesus Christ as lord and savior, satan is cursed again, he is expelled from you. He has no more dominion over you but you have all power over him. When you submit yourself to GOD and resist satan cries he will flee from you. Because GOD will answer you and his spirit will overcome satan and he knows he has no power over the spirit of GOD.
VERSE 8 “ AND THOU SHALT RETURN AND OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD AND DO HIS COMMANDMENTS WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY.”
This is all that GOD requires of you and I, when we get saved and that is to keep his commandments. That’s all he asked of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Do not eat of the tree of knowledge. Eat of all the other trees except that tree. But they disobeyed the commandment of GOD and they were cursed. The Church world today as been cursed with so many different denominations and division because they have not kept the two most important commandments.
MATTHEW 22: 36 “ MASTER, WHICH IS THE GREAT COMMANDMENT IN THE LAW.
MATTHEW 22:37 “ JESUS SAID UNTO HIM, THOU SHALT LOVE THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND.
MATTHEW 22:38 “ THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT “
MATTHEW 22:39 “ AND THE SECOND IS LIKE UNTO IT, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
MATTHEW 22:40 “ ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.”
VERSE 10 “ IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS STATUTES WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK OF THE LAW, AND IF THOU TURN UNTO LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THINE HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL.”
VERSE 9 THE KEY VERSE “ AND THE LORD THY GOD WILL MAKE THEE PLENTIOUS IN EVERY WORK OF THINE HAND, IN THE FRUIT OF THY BODY, AND IN THE FRUIT OF THY CATTLE, AND IN THE FRUIT OF THY LAND, FOR GOOD: FOR THE LORD WILL AGAIN REJOICE OVER THEE FOR GOOD, AS HE REJOICED OVER THY FATHERS.

These little “if’s” face us wherever we turn and they must be reckoned with. If men obey they are blessed and if they disobey they are cursed; and this applies to all sinners and saints
If you hearken ( heed to, listen intently) to the call of GOD, for he is calling out to you and wanting to redeem you from the curse of hinderants and sins. The blessings of GOD are intended for you to enjoy and prosper in. But do not worship his blessings. To many people have fallen into the trap of worshipping the blessings or the creation instead of the creator. How do you worship GOD? With all your heart, soul, strength and mind. By keeping his commandments and walking in the way of the LORD, for he trailed the path, Jesus became the way, the truth and the life.
All the blessings of GOD to enjoy down here and to have peace and fulfillment in life knowing the true purpose in your life, and to be sure of eternal life in paradise, with the splendors of heaven and no more curse of death. What is the catch? Too good to be TRUE? No my friend for this is the reason for our creation, to enjoy and live in the righteousness of God, our creator. All you have to do is trust your conscience and the spirit of GOD drawing you unto him. He is crying out saying, I see the curse of sin on your life. I see the disappointment of not having contentment in your life. For the way that seemeth right and the pleasure of this earth are leading you to destruction. But look at your life do you feel contentment and true peace, joy and the fullness of love or do you see scars from the curse of sin.
VERSE 11 “ FOR THIS COMMANDMENT WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY. IT IS NOT HIDDEN FROM THEE, NEITHER IT IS FAR OFF.”
Jesus is saying come unto me and confess your sins for I will set you free. I will pardon your sins and never remember them any more. As far as the east is from the west will I cast them and your soul is crying out for rest. The burden of the curse of sin will and is destroying the very inward man. It’s longing to be set free and in the presence of GOD. For the love I given unto you give unto me with all your heart and soul and I will give you rest. For your soul will never rest running from the very purpose or call that the Holy Spirit is putting within your life. Oh you may think that the pleasure of the world or the alcohol or drugs can free you from the drawing, but that down deep uncontentment you can not escape. Listen as I read the 139 Psalm of David
1. O lord thou hast searched me, and known me.
2. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising thou understandest my thought afar off.
3. Thou compassest my path ( the way to life or death) and my lying down and art acquainted with all thy ways.
4. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, o Lord thou knowest it altogether.
5. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
You can not escape the love of GOD and calling but you can ignore and allow his commandments, his word, to condemn you with the curse of destruction. For he is a GOD of love and judgement. But you do not have to allow it, come unto him and let him give your soul rest and peace. Learn the way for which Jesus paved to throne of GOD. Learn of the heritage for which GOD created you. Fell the meekness of his Holy Spirit giving you contentment. Do not be as the many before you and deny him. For the bible says many are called but only a few chosen. Why, because they refuse to give all to Jesus Christ and love him with all their heart. They fight the calling and allow the curse of sin to lead them to everlasting destruction.
Satan is saying this preacher has lost his marbles. For you have no purpose in life and there is know way you can live this type of life. You can not do it. It is not for you. Listen to the words as I read unto you the verse Hebrews 12: 1-2
HEBREWS 12:1 WHEREFORE SEEING WE ALSO COMPASSED ABOUT WITH SO GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES. LET US LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT, AND THE SIN WHICH DOTH EASILY BESET US, AND LET US RUN THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE US.
HEBREWS 12:2 LOOOKING UNTO JESUS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH; WHO FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM ENDURED THE CROSS, DESPISING THE SHAME, AND SET DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER.
Look around and see all them that has live a clean and holy life in the righteous of Christ. For you know in your heart that they have made it. You know that they had to have contentment and joy to face the persecution and the mockery, to live as a Christian, but they held on. Do not let the weights of this life the things that this world or man has made keep you from obtaining the purpose for creation. Answer the calling and live for Jesus Christ looking unto him the author and finisher of our faith, the beginning, the first born of brethen, and the ending of our faith are we believing and trusting in him. We for the joy of the glory of GOD that he promised endure our cross as Christians. This way is not hard but the burden is lite and the yoke is easy when you give all to him. For you know longer have worries for the things of this life but for the glory of new day of promise to be at the right hand of GOD the giver and taker of life that holds every thing in the palm of his hand. They that truly following Christ are as like David in.
PSALMS 40: 8 I DELIGHT TO DO THY WILL, O MY GOD, YES THE LAW IS WITHIN MY HEART.

ROMANS 7: 22 FOR I DELIGHT INT THE LAW OF GOD AFTER THE INWARD MAN.
Every person that is born into this life, will one day, look back at the way they have lived. They will face the times that they were hinder or did not answer to the call of GOD. Whether it is this New Year Eve’s, at a love one death, at a birth of a child or the facing of death. But the most fearful and dreaded time will be at the judgement seat if you did not answer the call of GOD and except Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master. Let the day become the new day of promise unto you, living in the splendor of heavenly places spiritually and giving your soul rest. The year 2001 will so be over and 2002 will take place. We do not know what the future holds here on the earth other than the fact it will not be peace. But thank be unto GOD, We that are born again into the body of Jesus Christ, have the promise of a new day of the glory of GOD. When we shall forever dwell in a delightful, pleasant and peaceful place in the presence of GOD.
