The more I read the paper and listen to the news the more I am convinced that we are living in the last days as described in the Bible, for example over in the book of 2 Tim. 3:1-5 we see a vivid description of the day and time that we are living in listen to what it says in the last days perilous times shall come, my friend we have never lived in a more dangerous time than what we live in now, just take a look back at what has happen since 9-11-01, I mean people who are willing to die so that others might die, our children are carring guns, knives to school with them all you seem to read about anymore is robberies, murders, rapes and on an on I could go, the verse goes on to say men shall be lovers of their own selves, in the day we are living homosexuals are fighting to get what they call their rights to have same sex marriages, and even adopt children, let me say something according to rom chapter 1 this is an abomination to God, you might call me narrow minded if you want but read it in God’s word for yourself, you see God hasn’t changed his way of thinking we have and I go with what God says. Read on Covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, boy does that describe our society today or what, I have never seen a generation that is more proud than the one we live in today, notice Disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy finish reading it for yourself, I wish I had time to dig into each of these. Then over in 2 Peter 3:3-4 people saying where is the promise of his coming? I really wonder if we the christian really believe he is coming back because my Bible tells me in 1 John 3:1-3 that if we did we would do all that we could to live a PURIFIED Life. knowing that the next person that we stand before could very well be Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Then notice in our text in Matt.24 the disciples ask in v3 What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Look at his answer Many shall come in my name, think back to Waco, texas or even nev. I believe it was, more and more you here of those claiming to be the Messiah, but then it says ye shall hear of wars and rumors of warsdid you know that the world has never had a day where their is not fighting going on somewhere, then it says in verse 7 nation shall rise against nation, then it says kingdom against kingdom, famines, people are dieing every day because of starvation, pestilence and earthquakes. more and more you hear about earthquakes and they seem to be happening in different place and with such devastating force that thousands loose their lives every year. So I thought one day that I was going to search the scriptures and see what the Bible had to say about Earthquakes, and I found something very unusual, and that is Everytime that God does something supernatural, something that only God could do, you might say an Earthshaking Event, that he would just reach down and hake the earth putting his Amen to it, as if to say sit up an pay attention to what just happen. Let me show you what I mean turn to
#1 Matt. 27:51 I call this the EARTHQUAKE OF REDEMPTION
Now before we read let me do a little ground work, Now all of you know how that when God created Paradise that it was a perfect place and he told Adam that he could have it all but one, and that was the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and He told him that in the day that he ate of it according to Gen. 2:17 that he would surely die, now you all know the account how that Satan deceived Eve and she ate and that she talked Adam into eating, and how that because of this one little act sin came into the world, you see because of sin now their was a barrier between God and Man, we could no longer fellowship with God their had to be a go between, we had to have someone one was with out sin pay the sin debt for us, or we would be forever lost doomed for a devils hell. Then some 2000 yrs ago the only begotten Son of God gave up his Glory and Power in Heaven and came down to this Earth, that’s rightread John1:1-2 & 1:14, lived here for approx.33 1/2 tears during that time he suffered at the hand of ungodly men who ridiculed him mocked him, gave him an unfair trial, was taken before Pilate who 3 times declared I FIND NO FAULT IN THIS MAN, and ask them What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ and they yelled out Crucify Him, Crucify Him, and as I have studied this passage in Matt. 27 I have found in verses 35-44 where they not only beat his body but then they also tried to break his spirit, look at it if thou be the Christ, you see they were tring to get him to doubt who he was, and then they said in v43 he trusted in God let him deliver him IF he will have him, Do you see what the devil was tring to do , he wanted him to come down off of that old rugged cross and he could have because their were 10 legion of angels just waiting for the word to come and minister to him, but I’m so glad that He didn’t come down, you see if he would of we all have no hope right now we would all spend eternity in a devil’s hell, why because he was the only one who could meet the demands that a Holy and Righteous God had placed upon sin, He was the only one who could redeem us, he’s the only one who could set us free from the bondage of sin, hey listen to me this morning I thank God that he didn’t come down off of that old rugged cross. Listen to me he was stripped, Beaten, Spit upon, Crowned with Thorns, He had every right to come down because he was paying for something that he didn’t do but yet the Bible says in Hebrews 12:2 "Who for the Joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." What joy could their be in all of this, you know what it was, he looked down through the eons of time and saw you and me and said I must endure
We find were he had hung their for 6 hours, he cried out MY GOD,MY GOD,WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME? Oh how he must have felt so all alone as he died for the sins of the world. Then notice v51 the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to bottom, Hey you know what that meant the demands that God had placed upon sin was satisfied, how do I know that because God took the barrier away so that each of us would have the opportunity to approach God again so that you and I could enjoy that sweet fellowship with the Father again. What and earthshaking event that took place 2000 years ago and look what God did he caused an Earthquke, you see he was saying AMEN, pay attention world to the supernatural event that just took place.

#2 MATT. 28:1-2 The EARTHQUAKE OF THE RESSURRECTION
You see my friend this was the wonder of all wonders, it was the Miracle of all Miracles, it was the Glory of all Glories, why preacher because it would not have mattered if all of ceasars army had been their, their was nothing that could have prevented him from coming out of that judean tomb on the third day, hey listen to me Jesus stepped out of that Tomb with the wounds he had cgotten on calvary, he had returned from the dead just as he had said. Do you know the one thing that proved he was who he claimed to be, was the ressurrection Read Romans 1:4
you see their was no mistake about it now, and listen to me because he rose from the grave we will too read
1 Cor. 15:20-22 Hey I like that easter hymn we sing UP FROM THE GRAVE HE AROSE, WITH A MIGHTY TRIUMPH OER HIS FOES, HE AROSE A VICTOR FROM THE DARK DOMAIN AND HE LIVES FOREVER WITH HIS SAINTS TO REIGN HE AROSE, HE AROSE HALLELUJA CHRIST AROSE, BUT notice what God did in Matt 28:2 it says their was a great earthquake, you see he reached down and just shook the earth saying AMEN world you better sit up and pay attention. I also found that God twice more in the future will shake this earth with a great earthquake turn over to
#3 REV. 6:12-17 EARTHQUAKE OF THE RETRIBUTION
As your turning their let me say the next event on God’s time table is the Rapture of the Church, and while the church is taken before the Lord Jesus Christ at the Judgement Seat of Christ, this Earth will undergo a time it has never know a time that is called the Great Tribulation, it will be a time when God will pour out his wrath upon this Earth, it will be a time that those upon this Earth according to Rev.6:16 will cried out for the mountains and the rocks to fall on them and hide them from the face of him that sitteth on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. why because when God pours out his wrath it will be without mixture or their will be no more Mercy, no more Longsuffering, no more Grace, you see God will then judge this world of all the evil and sin that is in it and those who have trampled under foot the precious blood that was shed on Calvary, my friend listen to me if your here and you have never accepted christ as your personnal savior I beg of you don’t wait till its to late get saved today, or you will experience the wrath of Almighty God. I wish I had the time to show you some of the terrible things that this world will experience. Look at whaat God does in verse 12 He reaches down and shakes this Earth as if to say AMEN you have rejected my Son now I will pour out your judgement, World you better pay attention to what is about to happen to those who are lost.
Now turn to Zech. 14:4 EARTHQUAKE OF HIS RETURN
God will consumate the Great Tribulation by coming back to this world and fighting the battle of Armegedon
where he will cast those that have said no to Jesus and trampled under foot the precious Blood, he will cast them into a devil’s hell then he will set up his own kingdom upon this Earth and then their will be perfect peace and you and I that are saved will rule and reign with him.
If your not saved why not get saved today so you too will have a part in that kingdom
