GOD CAN MOVE YOUR MOUNTAINS

Main text: 2 Samuel 4:4 And Jonathan, Saul’s son had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled; and it came to pass as she made haste to flee that he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
Secondary Text: 2 Samuel 9:7 And David said unto him. Fear not I will shew kindness for Jonathan’s and thy’s father’s sake and will restore all the land of Saul thy father and thou and thou shall eat bread at my table continually.
Let us define what a mountain is. Mountains are obstructions; set backs, stumbling blocks, hindrances, limitations, barriers, difficulties and various forms of challenges we face as believers. Only Supernatural power of God can move away these mountains.
Our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 Because of your unbelief; for I say unto you if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain Remove hence to yonder place and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
The disciples of Jesus had a mountain of impossibility fueled by unbelief. They could not cast demons out of a lunatic boy. And Jesus gave them the complete recipe. Faith, Fasting and prayers will be the ingredients of moving our mountains.
God can move any form of mountains be it spiritual , physical, material, mental, and financial of whatever shape, size or color. I know of a sister that was unemployed for seven years. She graduated from one of the foremost Universities in Africa. We waited on the Lord for three days and prayed an aggressive prayer of faith and the mountain of unemployment was moved. She got a miraculous well-paying job within two weeks.
I know of another brother that Doctors have written- off after five costly dialysis as a result of poisoning.
We prayed a prayer of faith and God moved the mountain of death and restored him within seven days.
I Pray God will turn mountains of shame to glory, mountains pain to gain, disappointments to divine appointments, fear to faith, failure to victory, confusion to sound mind in Jesus Name.
God spoke in Deut 2:3 Ye have compassed this mountain long enough; turn ye northward. Some of us have are almost given-up on harshness of life, But I tell you there a message of hope and encouragement. There will be a turn around. The rock of Ages will move you mountains.
Let’s move to our main text: 2 Sam 4:4 Mephibosheth has mountains in his life that God moved. Let’s discuss ten mountains in the life of Mephibosheth:
1. CRIPPLED: His condition became a hindrance to his royal position. He was incapacitated, limited and immobile. He could not move about without an assistance or help. His disability became a hindrance to his divine ability. An accident happened to him that placed him in a disadvantaged position. Holy Spirit can remove disability and can create mobility. Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Ghost and Power and He went about.....
2.RELEGATED: He was a silver spoon that was now living outside town at time God remembered him. I pray God will open your book of remembrance in Jesus Name. His condition has robbed him of his royal position. He was living in past glory. I pray you will move from zero to hero. The way God fished out David is similar to the way God used David to fish out Mephibosheth. I declare somebody is moving from Obscurity to divine prominence, from the wilderness to the promise land in Jesus Name.
3. CURSED: Disobedience is one of the major causes of generational curses. Curses can be carried from generation to generation. Deut 28:45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee and shall pursue thee and overtake thee till thou be destroyed because thou hearkenest not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee.
1Chron 10:13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord...
Saul followed after other gods and when he died his head was cut and placed in the house of an idol. The curse must have been transferred to Mephibosheth.
4. SPIRITUALLY DEAD: 2 Sam 9:8 He confessed he was a dead dog. Notice that he humbled himself fine; But never talked as if he wanted to be healed. David could have prophesied to his leg for healing. For as many are spiritually dying ,my God will remove the mountain of Lukewarmness, hopelessness and inactivity.
5. HE WAS IN LODEBAR: The root word in Hebrew means "No Pasture". It is a place of poverty and lack. No matter how often you come to Church, if you live in sin, you will always lack.
6. LONELINESS: He was alone in Lodebar. He was an outcast. He was ostracized. Many of us are swimming in the mountain of loneliness, but I pray this mountain is moving in Jesus name.
7. SAD: Mephibosheth was more qualified to be King than David is. But Something out of his control robbed him of his inheritance. For any one that is depressed, unhappy or sad, I tell you weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.
8.SHAME: Mephibosheth means destroyer of shame but in reality, He was an icon of shame. His name could not align with the reality.
9. FEAR: 2 Sam 9:7 David told him Fear not. He must have been living in fear. Fear will always paralyze your faith; It will dim your vision and shatter your hopes. The greatest weapon of satan is fear. Every mountain of fear in our lives will crumble in Jesus Name.
10. LOST SOMETHING: He has lost opportunity, divine position, self esteem, property, inheritance, riches, authority, even the land that belongs to Saul. He lost opportunity of becoming the King of Israel. I pray for divine restoration for some of us in this category.
For us to overcome and live a fulfilled Christian life, We need the anointing of God that will move these various kinds of mountains. To keep this mountains perpetually shattered we need to live holy, blameless and Righteous.
