“ A CHOSEN GENERATION”
· In this generation, we are living in it is very perverse and wicked on every corner. No reverence for GOD,country or any one with any type of authority. A generation that wears “no fear” I will do as I please for no one can stop me. You may say what is chosen about this generation. God chose you to be born into it. For he has called you to a purpose in this generation. Did you think you being born in this generation happen by chance. NO, GOD chose you to live in this geneartion.He has called you for a pupose in this generation. You ask what is his purpose in my life in such a wicked generation. I hope to deliver what GOD has laid upon my heart to help you, to enlighten you on you being a chosen generation.
· We that are born again beleivers are a chosen generation. A generation that has been set free from the bondage of sin. We were called out by GOD’s spirit, washed by the blood of the lamb,cleansed from all wickedness & impurities to become a holy people, peculiar people, separated from this world to a purpose of GOD’s elected calling: A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD
1) PRIEST DEFINITION: One who is consecrated to the service of a mediator between GOD and man.
2) ROYAL PRIESTHOOD : One who is appointed by the king to lead all in his laws and kings ordinances. Make pleas to the king for the people of this wicked generation. Consider highly by the king.EXODUS 19: 6 “AND YE SHALL BE A KINGDON OF PRIEST , AND AN HOLY NATION.
The children of Isreal was GOD’s chosen people, a chosen nation to be priests unto all other nations, to teach the laws and ordinances of GOD. Through GOD leading them out of captivety, breaking the bonds of Pharoah and destroying Pharoah in the red sea. Bringing them into the wilderness, giving them heavenly food from above, manna. Water springing forth from a rock quenched their thirst and continued them in life. God provided shelter from the heat in a cloud by day, and heat by fire at night. He made them a nation of people that was without a land of their own. He chose them to be a holy people, set apart for his service, a peculiar people for he purchase them, through the releasing of them from their captivety. For this purpose, they were called to worship and to obey GOD commandments and walk as his people after his own statutes. They were to become a completely separated people for him. By their separation and obedience they would be blessed of GOD all their enemies would be defeated, prosperity would be in abundance, and all nations would look to Isreal as a priest unto GOD. A nation that had found favor with GOD. Thus through this leading all nations to come and worship and to desire the presence of the almighty GOD.
Through Isreal’s lust of other nation’s idols and disobedience of GOD commandments. They allow themselves to become enticed into temptations and fell into worshipping vain idols and false gods. Thus they became a defiled nation. They were overcame by their enemies through their own desires. For they did not separate themselves as GOD had warn them. Through their own lust and self righteousness they denied even CHRIST who came to reconcil them back unto GOD. Through their denial of CHRIST we were engrafted in to become the elect of GOD.Through the admission and forgiveness of our sins in CHRIST JESUS our high priest, lord and master we are able to come boldly to the throne of GOD.
HEBREWS 4:16 “LET US THEREFORE COME BOLDLY UNTO THE THRONE OF GRACE,THAT WE MAY OBTAIN MERCY, AND FIND HELP IN THE TIME OF NEED.”
But through this calling comes a purpose for which we have been called. We are to become a holy people dedicated to worshipping and praising God above all else in our lives. To be a peculiar people “ select or special” “ purchase for a price” we are no longer ourselves but his.
I COR 6:20 “FOR YE ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE ; THEREFORE GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY, AND IN YOUR SPIRIT WHICH ARE GODS. I COR 7:23 “YE ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE BE NOT YE SERVANT OF MEN” VERSE 24 “BRETHEN, LET EVERY MEN , WHEREIN HE IS CALLED , THEREIN ABIDE IN GOD.”
We were purchased by GOD for his services. We were bought by the blood of his only begotten son so that we may be partakers in his holy nation for GOD and be blessed with his promises. “ A HOLY NATION” Holy means to be set apart for GOD, nothing else but his service and purpose.
II COR 6: 17 “WHEREFORE COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM,AND BE YE SEPARATE,SAITH THE LORD, AND TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING; AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU. VERSE 18 “AND WILL BE A FATHER UNTO YOU, AND YE SHALL BE MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, SAITH THE LORD ALMIGHTY.”
For GOD who called us, is a holy GOD no one or nothing is liken unto him. For he is the first and the last. The great I am. For if he be holy we also must be holy to be his children.
I PETER 1:15 “BUT AS HE WHICH HATH CALLED YOU IS HOLY, SO BE YE HOLY IN ALL MANNER OF CONSVERSATION. VERSE 16 “FOR IT IS WRITTEN BE YE HOLY FOR I AM HOLY”.
We are to be holy for him in all conversation,appearances, and in everything we do. We are to walk in the beauty of holiness in such a way as to give glory and honor to our heavenly father. We are his ambassors in this life. Representing the very divine nature for which men were created. Having an everlasting covenant to the throne of GOD through Jesus Christ. The author and finisher of our faith.
· HEBREWS 7:24 BUT THIS MAN, BECAUSE HE CONTINUETH FOREVER, HATH UNCHANGEABLE PRIESTHOOD.
· HEBREWS 7:25 WHEREFORE HE IS ABLE ALSO TO SAVE THEM TO THE UTTERMOST THAT COME UNTO GOD BY HIM, SEEING HE EVER LIVETH TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR THEM.
· HEBREWS 7:26 FOR SUCH AN HIGH PRIEST BECAME US,WHO IS HOLY,HARMLESS,UNDEFILED,SEPARATE FROM SINNERS, AND MADE HIGHER THAN THE HEAVENS.
· Through the holy and highest priest our LORD and MASTER JESUS CHRIST we are reconcile back unto the divine nature of GOD, adopted as his children to become as heirs and joint heirs with CHRIST JESUS. Therefore we are a holy people through the body of JESUS CHRIST. Purefied and our raiment white. thus we are a royal priesthood to lead all others by the righteousness of JESUS CHRIST through his HOLY SPIRIT that lives with in us. So they may also want to come and know our lord and master.To also become adopted into the chosen generations of GOD, our the father. We the chosen, are inhabatiants of that city that stands on a hill that cannot be hid. Who builder and maker is GOD the father of all. We are his holy children united in the body of Christ giving sacrifices of praise and glory, thus allowing nothing to come in between us and his presence in our life. If we will strive in everything we do, to give glory and thankgivings to him our lord and master. Glorifing and lifting up the name of JESUS in our walk,in our talk,and his his way. For JESUS is the way, the truth and life. Present ourself to one to another in love ehorting and encouraging each other in the way of holiness, to be totally separated for the work of GOD we will receive the blessing from on high the glory of GOD. His glory shall be upon us and we will become a light that shines in the darkness that will help some lost sheep to the foe. We will be a city that can not be hid that will lead some lost soul to place of refuge. We are a royal priest hood we have a purpose, a calling to answer, not only to salvation, but to be worker for him.
I PETER 2:5 “YE ALSO,AS LIVELY STONES, ARE BUILT UP A SPIRITUAL HOUSE AN HOLY PRIESTHOOD, TO OFFER UP SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES, ACCEPTABLE TO GOD BY JESUS CHRIST.
· To separate ourselves, to seek out holiness in our life, to deny ourselves of our fleshly desires and pick up our crosses daily, we can and will lead others and our own families unto the royal family of GOD. OH to know the joy of being a child of highest KING THE GOD OF ALL THE THE UNIVERSE. unspeakable joy and full of glory. THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD IS A NATION THAT GOD HAS SELECTED FOR HIS SERVICE. A nation that consist of different languages,ages, sex, colors,and customs but all united together in one holy,pure, above all others, the body of CHRIST JESUS. Dwelling in the presences of the almighty GOD where there is fulness of JOY and at his right hand pleasure for evermore.
· WE ARE CHOSEN TO BE ROYAL PRIEST HOOD TO BE A PEOPLE TO LEAD OTHERS TO CHRIST JESUS THROUGH OUR WORSHIP,SACRIFICES , JOY AND THE GLORY OF GOD IN OUR LIVES. WE ARE THE LIGHT THAT SHINE S IN THE DARKNESS OF SIN AROUND US. DARKNESS CANNOT OVERTAKE THE LIGHT. BUT THE LIGHT OVER TAKES DARKNESS WE NEED TO UNITE TOGETHER AND BECOME A BEACON THAT SHINES ABOVE ALL THE GLOOM AND DOOM OF THIS WORLD. TO SHOW THE TRUE PURPOSE OF BEING A CHRISTIAN, TO BECOMING LIKEN UNTO CHRIST.FOR JESUS SAID IN MATTHEW 5:14 “YE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A CITY THAT IS SET ON AN HILL THAT CANNOT BE HID” we are to be mediator of the word of GOD, power of GOD,the joy of GOD,the righteousness of GOD, TO SHOW THE WORLD THE SALVATION OF GOD THROUGH OUR LIVES IN CHRIST JESUS. A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD A CHOSEN PEOPLE. A HOLY NATION OF BELEIVERS IN CHRIST JESUS.
· In closing let us read ROMANS 8:28 “AND WE KNOW THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD, TO THEM WHO ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE” VERSE 29 “FOR WHOM HE DID FOREKNOW, HE DID PREDESTINATE TO BE CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, THAT HE MIGHT BE THE FIRSTBORN AMONG MANY BRETHENS. THAT WE MIGHT BE LIKEN UNTO CHRIST AND LEAD OTHER TO THE FOE BY OBEDIENCE AND SEPARATING FOR THE WORKING OF THE SPRIRIT OF GOD WITH IN US. FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE YOU WRE BORN INTO THIS GENERATION .
· So in this wicked and perverse generation GOD has chosen us to make intercession in prayer,in sacrificing, in fasting,and binding together in love. So through him the light can outshine the darkness of this world.
ROMANS 8:30 IF GOD BEFORE US WHO CAN BE AGAINST US.
