“I am Amazed”
I am amazed as I stand in the presence of an Almighty God that in his own Words proclaim that he created the heavens and the earth and the waters. And then in his own words said “let there be light and there was light and he divided the light from darkness”.
And then we can continue to go on and on and say that God made everything and it was good. And so God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. I am amazed that he even allows us the privilege of calling him Father, in all his Holiness, but he continually does because he loves each of us dearly, more than we will ever understand. I stand amazed at the scientist that continue to claim evolution as the factor for our life. We that are intelligent enough to read and understand his Word, “The Holy Bible”, are very fortunate indeed.
But what is so unfortunate for the many of us that do understand what he has given us in his written word, is that we do not use what is rightly ours by being the children of God. We constantly and continually seek to put limits on what God can do in our lives, by merely neglecting to do, or believe His own divine Word. A God that gave his only begotten Son to die on a cross “ the only real man born for the divine purpose of dying”, I believe deserves more from us that believe than were giving. As I write this I’m constantly wondering in my own self, who am I, to put limitations of any kind on what God wants to do or will do for me or any one else? Many times we have not because we ask not, of God. God is not a God that inflicts sickness on us, he died on the cross for our healings. In his true character we find by reading the Bible that he cannot lie, it also declares that He, God changes not.
We need to open our eyes which are many times blinded by Satan to the reality of the truth of the Gospel. Only the preaching of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit will open our blinded eyes and hearts to a true and living Gospel. Jesus is alive, He is not dead, contrary to what many will tell us. Something is really wrong in the church of Jesus Christ today, when we leave a service the same way we came. We need to leave knowing that we have spent the last few hours with a God that is or going to meet our ever needs and prayers. What are we really going to church for is the question that many of us need to ask ourselves? Do we go because it’s the thing to do? Do we go because others put a guilt trip on us because we don’t go? Or do we go to ask and ask for our own selfish needs? I believe that God Almighty inhabits the Praises of his people and the Church that Praises God to their fullness will certainly receive his attention! I believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of the father, died on an old rugged cross, that we might have life eternal. That he arose from the dead and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty. He died for our healings that we might all be healed through the blood of Christ. He is still saving people, still working miracles, still Baptizing people with the Holy Ghost and fire. God is still giving Spiritual gifts to every man severally as he will. God is still giving Ministry gifts to his church, Ephesians 4:11, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.” I believe that the battles we occur in life are not physical at all but must be defined as Spiritual against the God of this present world, which is Satan. And must be fought with spiritual weapons . I believe in a Hell that just as hot and terrible as God says it is. Just because modern day preachers and evangelist have taken Hell out of their sermon’s doesn’t, mean that Hell is not exactly what the Bible claims it to be. Again I’ve shared just a few of the things that I believe and that God has given us. And again I think who are we to put a limit on God! We certainly have a tendency to limit our creator by putting God in a box of our own and calling on him when we only need God’s help. If we could only realize in our hearts what God has in store for us that do believe , we would be the mighty New Testament church that God ordained it to be. In John 14:12 we find the word’s of Christ to be, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father”. The greater works include both the work of converting people to Christ and the performing of miracles. The reason for the greater works of the disciples is that Jesus will go to His Father, send forth the power of the Holy Spirit and answer prayer in his name. The disciples works will be greater in number and scope. The Word of God must be guarded by all those of the church who see it as God’s only truth for a lost and dying world, least we all will perish.
