For Years I have listened to the people of the world belittle, deny, criticize, curse and Blaspheme the Name of God. At one time I was just as guilty of that as the next fella. Until one day when Salvation came
into my life and I began my journey to understanding who and what God was. I felt so badly about what I had said about him that I cried unto the Lord and said, "Father, Can you forgive me for what I have said and done to you and your Precious name? Jesus said, "for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Your sins of the past have been forgiven. (Romans 6:23) What you do from this point on is what matters." I know now, who and what God is and a myth He is not! A Fairy Tale - He is Not! A figment of one’s own
imagination - He is not!
What God is the subject of today’s lesson. It is my intent to show you what God really is and it is all backed up by scripture. God is all that I will describe here and much, much more. The much, much more, is what you will discover if you develop your relationship with God and if you haven’t established a relationship with God...Perhaps today will be the
day that you do and start your own journey to discovering what God is all about. Today may be the very last day you have that one opportunity to seek and receive Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. He doesn’t promise us tomorrow and if you were to go outside your house or outside the church you could very well die without receiving the gift of salvation and forever be condemned to the Lake of fire. This could be your very last moments or day on earth. Do you really want take the chance and find that because you have hardened your heart or you procrastinated, you will die with out eternal life and the Forgiveness
of sins? Do you really want to die knowing that you passed up on this opportunity to spend eternity with Jesus Christ in His Kingdom and the opportunity to live forever? By telling you what God is, I hope that
you would reconsider your position and your relationship with God and give yourself a chance to get to know Him and have eternal life and not eternal damnation. We are going to go through what God is step by step and with each step we take, I pray that you will consider what you are hearing and take it to your heart and consider receiving His gift of Salvation. Then you can begin your own Journey of discovery with Him. We will answer the questions of Who, What and Where God is. First we shall begin with who God is:
Who God Is

God is the Alpha and the Omega,The Beginning and The End of all things created by Him.(Rev.1:8,11; 21:6; 22:13) "I am the Alpha and the Omega, The beginning and the ending," saith the Lord,"which is, and which was, and which,is to come, the Almighty.(11) Saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last:" (21:6) And he said unto me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give
unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (22:13) "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the end, the first and the last." God is the Word. (John 1:1-2) "In the beginning was
the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the Beginning with God." Here we can plainly see that God is making it quite clear that He is, He was and he will always be; but we also see
that He is the "Living Word" to deny His existence would not only be fool-hardy but also a condemnation of your very existence. What you are saying is that God doesn’t exist and you were not created by Him, who
created all things and that includes you! (Genesis 1 and 2) The Evolutionists have you coming into existence from everything from primordial sludge to some atom that comes from space! That is impossible! If we, for example, evolved from Monkeys, then how come the Monkeys haven’t become human? They have had all this time and they are still Monkeys! In Genesis 1:27 it tells us plainly that God created us. In Genesis 3:19, He tells us what we were created from. We were created from the dust of the earth and he breathed the breath of life into us. God is the creator and the destroyer of all things that are evil and the Savior of all that is Good.
There Is No Other
=================
There is no other God of man that can do what God can do for you! In Isaiah 45:22, God tells us this:" Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I AM GOD, and there is none else." There is no
other God in the Universe. All the gods you hear about are man-made and are nothing more than idols made of stone, wood, metal and precious jewels. They can do nothing for you, they do not give love, they are
false gods and bring nothing but misery to their worshippers.There is only one "TRUE AND LIVING GOD" and that is the LORD GOD, JEHOVAH! His son, Jesus Christ was the Sacrificial Lamb for our sin and is the only way to the Father and eternal life.
Where God Is
============
In Isaiah 8: 10, it tells us where God is. "Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand; for God is with us."
In Matthew 28:20, we are reminded of that again. "Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I Am with you always, even unto the end of the world (age)." In Matthew 1:23, again we see that God is with us."Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son; and they shall call him EMMANUEL,
which being interpreted is GOD WITH US." God is always with us. He never leaves us..it is we who leave him and seek our own pleasures,desires, and wants. We totally leave God entirely out of the picture. If God is with us and we recognize that and accept that and Him into our lives, we cannot and will not fail. Besides if God is for us...who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
God Is Holy

In Psalms 99:9, the psalmist, David tells us that God is Holy."Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His holy hill, for the Lord our God is Holy." We are the creations of God’s love. Is it not therefore right
that we should worship the Lord our God and know that He is Holy? Instead we curse Him, Blaspheme Him, deny Him, Abuse him and Break His heart. He is Our Father In Heaven, deserving of all our Love and praise and worship. How many times have you broken your earthly mother or father’s heart by you contrary actions and behavior? How many times have your children done the very same thing to you and it has broken your heart? Now picture God and multiply that by a billion times and you still will not come close to it. God commands respect, just as any earthly parent does, but he is God and he is our Father and he commands that we acknowledge Him in the proper and respectful manner that should be accorded him.
God Is Merciful

"The Lord preserveth simple; I was brought low and he helped me.(Psalms 1:9) He is merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. (Psalms 37:26) And he prayed unto the Lord, and said, I pray thee,O Lord, was
not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tar’shish: For I know that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of
evil. (Jonah 4:2) "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember nor more." (Hebrews 8:12) First we see the true mercy of God. There is one important factor
that must be mentioned when it comes to God’s mercy regarding our sin, iniquity and our unrighteousness. Our sins will be remembered no more if and only if we accept Jesus into Our hearts and lives only if we have
sought forgiveness of our iniquities, unrighteousness and sins. He will not forgive an unrepentant sinner. What do I mean by that? I mean a person that deliberately goes out and sins and expects God to forgive Him and He does it again and again. An unrepentant sinner is one who will not truly repent of his/her sins, but expects God to forgive them all the time. God Doesn’t work that way. Salvation is the First key to mercy. The second is true repentance and the third is to seek forgiveness of that sin and honestly being repentant of it. Secondly, God in His mercy does show His love to the sinner and in doing so, it will lead the sinner to him and his Gift of Salvation and Redemption. When a sinner is lost and cries out for help..God is merciful and will help him/her find their way back to Him or to Him. God is always with you - even if you are a sinner. He reaches out to you and all you have to do is take his hand. Won’t you do that today?
God Is Our Salvation

There is only one God and Through His son, Jesus, comes our salvation by the Blood He shed on Calvary as the Sacrificial Lamb of God. In Isaiah 12:2-3, We see that God is Our Salvation."Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye
draw water out of the wells of salvation." Again we are clearly shown that God is the only way to salvation and this is said many times in many ways by many in the Word of God (Bible) .
What God Is: I AM GOD - NOT MAN

"I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I AM GOD, and not man; the Holy One into the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city."(Hosea 11:9) What is God
saying here? He is saying that He is God and not man. In other words man is not God and never will be. He will always be God and there is no other. It is true that man can declare himself to be a God - in his own
mind and evil way, but the reality is that he isn’t and never will be - try as he may.For one thing man is mortal and of this world, God is not. God is of the Spiritual realm and is ruler and judge over all things.
Satan on the other hand, is of this world and of the air and is, in a sense, just as mortal as we are in human flesh. That which is of the world will die and that which is of God will live eternally with Him.
God Is True

"He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is True" (John 3:33) "But as God is true; our word toward you was not yea and nay" (2 Cor. 1:18) God is true to his word and He is the Truth of
the Word. If you study His word faithfully, you will discover that all God has spoken has been truth. The prophecies of the Old testament that concern the Birth of His son, Jesus, all are true and were fulfilled.
All 300 of them. He that receives the truth and abides in the truth shall see the kingdom of God. He that hears the Truth and receives it not will be forever condemned." In Romans 3:4 we again see that God is
true."God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written. That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged."
God Is Spirit

God is spirit, and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24) The Spirit of God is also the Holy Spirit. When we worship God we worship in spirit and truth, not in flesh and lies." God
is the Owner/creator of our spirits, since He breathed life into us. that life is His spirit and belongs to him and no one else. I was lucky enough to see God in the Spirit and let me tell you: "HE IS ONE AWESOME
GOD!" Not only did I see Him, I was Kissed by him! Think I am Crazy? Go ahead and think it, but let me tell you this that once you see God Face-to-face, been held in the palm of His Hand and Kissed on the cheek
by Him - it is something you are not likely to forget! When this happened I was deathly afraid of God. I was afraid that everything that I did was not perfect enough or right enough for Him. Even though He had
promised me heaven when I received Redemption from my sin and accepted Jesus into my heart, I was still afraid, that I would never be found worthy enough to enter into His kingdom and if I was, I was still
terrified of Him because of all the "Fire and Damnation" preaching I had heard. God was determined to make me understand the fear I was supposed to have and by what He did, I came to understand that the fear of God that we are to have is Reverence for God and fear of His wrath. He made it perfectly clear that we are in the flesh and that is far from perfect, but it is the Spirit we have in Him that makes us perfect.
God Is Faithful

"God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His son, Jesus Christ our Lord." (I Cor. 1:9) "There hath no temptation take you but such as common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (10:13) In I John 1:9
"God goes so far as to tell us that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God will not lets us be tempted above what we can handle in him, nor will he be unfaithful in his forgiveness of our sins once we confess them. If God can remain faithful to us...then why is it so hard to remain faithful to Him? It is not just a one-sided deal here,
folks, If God is completely committed to us, then shouldn’t we be completely committed to Him. I am not a perfect human and neither is anyone else while we are in the flesh; but it is not an excuse to not be
faithful and true to God. When you are, the Blessings that will come will fill your cup to overflowing.
God Is One God

"As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are
called gods, whether in heaven or earth, (as there be gods,many and lords many) but to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by who made all
things, and we by him" (I Cor 8:4-6) Once we realize that there is no other God and he is the one True and Living God, then we can set ourselves on the right course with his Leadership. We are then open to
Praising and Glorifying God the way he should have been all along.
God Is the Supplier

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ." (Philippians 4:19) God Does supply all your needs - no matter how big or small the need. What makes me mad and I am sure that it annoys and angers God to no end is the that those who claim to love God and Be a "Christian" abuse and use God more than a non-christian. The non-christian just ignores God completely and expects nothing from Him. Prime example: A "Christian" asked God to supply a need they had and God Did. They never Thanked God for it, never acknowledged God until
the next time they had a need and asked and received again and still they would not give God "The right time of day" unless they needed something. That was the only time they would call upon God. What is wrong with this picture? God is not a God to be used and abused or forgotten until the next time "you need something". He is a God that is to be Worshipped, Praised and Glorified at all times..even in the bad
times. He is a God to be Thanked for all the Blessings that He has bestowed upon you. I am sure that we all are guilty of that at one time or another, but we must be more diligent in what we do, what we ask and
how we treat God. It has become all too obvious that that this world has become all too selfish in what it desires and God is just another"tool" to use to get what it wants. This has to stop!
This is not what God is all about. He is not about always giving and not getting. He is about Love, Light, Truth, Faithfulness, Forgiveness and Mercy. Stop using God for personal Gain. Worship, Praise, Glorify and Adore Him. For that is what He is all about. He is not Fort Knox that will just give and give and you just take and take and take. What makes
me the sickest to my stomach are those who preach nothing but earthly prosperity. How wrong that is! There is nothing wrong with being prosperous on this earth; but when your priorities for prosperity on
earth take precedence over God and your eternal reward, that is incomprehensible.Don’t you realize that (a) you can’t take it with you, and (b) it will all return to the dust as we will sooner or later and
there will be nothing left. I would rather store riches up in heaven than here. I never want to be rich and I have always told God that. I just asked him for enough so I wouldn’t have to worry. He has provided
that for me and He will for you. Selfishness is not part of God’s world, it is part of man’s world. It is time we changed out attitude about who and what God Is.
God Is Light

"Then this is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all."(I John 1:5) If you were to walk in heaven, you would see no shadow. Why"
because as I John 1:5 has told us - GOD IS LIGHT. God’s Light shines so bright, that is you were to try to see him in the flesh you would be totally blinded, not to mention be destroyed instanteously. In the
spirit you have to eat of the fruit of heaven and drink of the living water in order to even come close to God. The closer you get to Him the weaker you become because his power and glory weakens you. To quote Rev. Jesse Duplantis, who is a wonderful pastor; "Unless you have had a Close Encounter of the God Kind" you couldn’t begin to understand the power
and Glory that emits from God or the light of His power. It defies description.
God Is Greater

"For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. (I John 3:20) "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you than He that is in
the world."(I John 4:4) If we keep God in us there is nothing that we cannot achieve or do for His namesake. When we have God in us..we radiate His light outwardly.We are the worst critics and judges of
ourselves than anyone else...including God. God is in us and therefore He knows us and our hearts. If we are pure of heart, He knows. If we are of an evil or abusive Heart He knows and He is not in us.
God Is Love

"He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is Love (16) And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love; dwelleth in God and God in Him. (I John 4:8,16)
God is Love, Satan on the other hand is hate and numerous other things. God gives his love unconditionally and without reservation. So should
we. If we are to be examples of God then we should love as God loves us, even unto our enemies. We should carry with us the attributes of God in (A) Faithfulness, (B) Love, (C) Truth, (D) Mercy, (E) Forgiveness, (F) Compassion (G) Light and (H) understanding. God Loved us so much that in John 3:16; we are reminded of That Great Love. "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whomsoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) If He loved us that much should we not love one another in the same manner? IF we love one another, as God has loved us, then we will without hesitation be willing to lay down our lives for them without a second thought. Jesus Did. Can you do or say that?
