1.GOD REMEMBERS AND GOD FORGETS
Hebrews 6;10 , Psalms 105;42 , Ezekial 33;16 ,13
God remembers our labour of love. God remembers his covenant.He helped the people of Israel in the wilderness because He remembered his promise to Abraham.God also forgets. He forgets the sins of the wicked if they turn to righteousness. But He will forget the righteousness of the righteous if they turn to wickedness.We make a choice by our lifestyle which quality of God operates in our life.
2.GOD LOVES AND GOD HATES
Romans 9;13 -18
God loved Jacob but He hated Esau. Esau despised his birthright while Jacob valued and coveted the blessings of God. God has no partiality but we reap what we sow.Our choices determine whether we experience the love of God or the hatred of God.Those who come close to the heart of God will experience his special love.
3.GOD HEARS AND GOD DOES NOT HEAR
Jeremiah 33;3 Proverbs 1; 28 - 30
God promises to answer us when we call upon Him. This is a great hope for us.He is our help in trouble. But God also warns that He will not answer the cry of those who deliberately reject His counsel and continually despise His call. Our choice determines whether God will hear us or not.
4.GOD LIFTS UP AND GOD PUTS DOWN
James 4; 6,10 Psalms 75;6,7
God lifts up those who humble themselves in his hand. He gives grace to the lowly.He lifts people from their low estate and makes them sit in high places. He lifted David , Joseph, Daniel, Moses and many others from very low circumstances to very great heights. But God also puts down those who are proud and exalt themselves in rebellion. We determine which quality of God operates in our life.When we humble ourselves He will lift us up.
5.GOD UNITES AND GOD SCATTERS
Nehemiah 1; 8-9 , Genesis 11;6-8 ,Isaiah 49 ; 18,22
God unites us when we are pleasing to Him. He promised the children of Israel that He will bring them together from the ends of the earth if they obey Him and listen to His voice. But He warned them that He will scatter them if they are disobedient to Him. He scattered the people who were building the tower of Babel in rebellion against God. We make a choice whether we will experience the unifying power of God in our life and family or whether we will suffer the scattering effect of God’s wrath.
6.GOD BLESSES AND GOD CURSES
Deutronomy 28;1,2,15,63 Deutronomy 30 ;19
God blesses His people with abundant blessings. He rejoices to do good to them. But we must hearken to his voice and follow His ways to inherit his blessings. He promised the people of Israel that all the blessings will overtake them when they are obedient to Him. But He warned them all the curses will overtake them if they turn away from Him.He sets before us blessing and curses and urges us to choose His blessings in our life.
7.GOD LEADS AND GOD MISLEADS
Psalm 32;8 II kings 7;3-7 , II Kings 6;18-20 , Psalms 35;6
God leads his people in the way that they should go. He shows us the right way and guides us in our decisions. He is our counsellor. He promises to lead us if we will follow Him. But God misleads His enemies.He misled the syrian army into thinking that a great host of army was coming against them by making them hear a great sound.Whereas in reality only four lepers were coming towards them.Once Elisha asked God to blind the syrian army and led them to samaria.God confuses His enemies and makes their path dark and slippery.If we rebel against God we will also experience the confusion that God allows in our life.We make a choice whether we experience God’s leading or not.
