John 4:34-35 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,
and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they
are white already to harvest.
95 - 100 million totally unchurched in America
180 - 190 million not born again in USA many of which do attend church
If this were a nation to itself it would be third largest people group
1st China 2nd India 3rd USA harvest field
1 - Knowledge and Vision
A - Knowing what to look for
1 - sinners - good and bad people who have never lived for God
2 - prodigals (those who have stopped serving God)
3 - Unfaithful Christians (serving God at a minimal level w/o faithful
attendance to a local body of believers)
B - Being able to see it (cannot see the trees for the forest)
1 - must be able to see people one at a time
2 - must be able to be honest about people’s lifestyles and behaviors in
light of Christianity (do not ‘cover’ for inappropriate living in others)
2 - Love - propels us into all that is good
A - True Christian living (personal requirements)
B - Truly helping others / Loving enough to help
1 - to live right before them
2 - to teach them true Christianity / tell of salvation
3 - Movement (when propelled we move)
A- step into the field
1- have a plan
B- labor - sweat - toil for souls
Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
