THE CRY FOR DELIVERANCE
"And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: and they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour" (Exodus 1:13-14)
This is an apt description of the position of many today. This was the situation with the Israelites: the enemies made them serve with rigour; the enemies gave them hard bondage, not ordinary bondage, but a very hard one. In Exodus 2:23, what did the children of Israel do?
"And it came to pass in process of time, the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage."
That is what is going to happen to you as you read this message, in the name of Jesus. Your cry shall come up to God, in the name of Jesus. Then what happened in verse 24?
"And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them."
There was a hard bondage, and then there was a cry. And there was deliverance. The procedure is still the same.
Obadiah 1:17 tells us:
"But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; then the children of Jacob shall possess their possessions."
As long as the children of Jacob are in bondage and they are not delivered, they cannot possess their possession. It then means that if you want to possess your possession, you need deliverance. It is that deliverance that will make it possible. The message you are reading right now is definitely a deliverance message that breaks the yoke. And what yoke does it break? The yoke of the enemy.
In Luke 4:18, the Bible has this to say:
"The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised."
Deliverance is available to all of us, if only you can cry unto Him right now. There are many people that cried unto the Lord in the Bible. Elisha cried, "Where is the God of Elijah?" and the God of Elijah answered. By the wall of Jericho, the people shouted, and the wall fell. Jesus got to the tomb of Lazarus who had got to the very bottom and been there for four days, but then Jesus cried. "Lazarus," and Lazarus came alive.
From this moment, every dead situation “Lazarus” shall come alive in your life, in Jesus’ name. The blind Barthemeus in the Bible cried, "Jesus, the son of David, have mercy on me." And he got his sight back. The Psalmist says, "In the day that I cry, then shall my enemies turn back. This I know, for God is with me." The Bible tells us that Jesus came to save, to heal and to deliver.
The idea of healing and salvation is very clear to many people, but the idea of deliverance is not very clear. Because of this, any time we mention deliverance, the only thing that comes to people’s mind is people possessed, e.g. witches and wizards and other such terrible things. But these are just some aspects of deliverance. In fact, sometimes, it is easier to deliver a witch from witchcraft than to deliver a man from fornication. Sometimes it is easier to deliver someone from a familiar spirit than it is to deliver him from alcohol. These are other aspects of deliverance, in a different way. The enemy specializes in the life of an alcoholic, using his throat.
In the life of the fornicator, the enemy specializes in using his reproductive organ. In the life of another person the enemy may specializes in using his head. All these need one form of deliverance or the other.
When we study the word of God very well we will find that Jesus never sent out anyone to preach without a mandate that a full deliverance must be done. Dark powers are the roots of many human problems today and we must confront them and possess all our possessions.
Many church goers are in need of one form of deliverance or the other. Many pastors, too, need deliverance. Many bishops and general overseers need serious deliverance. So many people are in need of one form of deliverance or the other.
A man arrived at a hotel and the first question he asked the receptionist was, "Before I pay, do you have prostitutes here?" To which the receptionist answered that theirs being a respectable hotel, they don’t allow such kind of people there. Then the man replied, "Well, I can’t check in until I’m able to bring in one." The man obviously needed deliverance because he certainly had an evil spirit troubling him.
Everybody fights the battle of life. Some people start their own battle at a very young age. Some come across their battle very early in life, like Jacob. Jacob started his own battle right from inside the womb and he kept fighting. And God delivered him. That God that delivered Jacob is your God.
When a mother gave birth to a baby, she could not afford the hospital bill and to prevent her from absconding, the clever doctors locked her up with her baby until she would be able to settle the bill. The woman began looking for a way of escape. She designed a small trick: she got a black polythene bag, put the baby in the bag and stuffed cotton wool and other dirty items on top of the baby. She then carried the polythene bag, called t he nurse and told her that she wanted to visit the toilet. The nurse, not knowing that the baby was inside the bag, allowed her. The woman ran away. That baby, smuggled out in that manner had started her own battle in life. Now that baby has become an adult and is owing people all over, the spirit of debt has entered into her life.
Others come across their battle in the middle of their lives. Like a boy of sixteen or seventeen who came to ask me where they sold coffins. I asked him what he wanted to do with a coffin he said his father had just died. I asked him that if his father had just died, didn’t he have uncles, brothers, aunts and such senior people in his family who could help him? And he replied, "I am the only one left; every other person had died." This meant that his whole compound had become desolate. This was another battle of life engineered by dark powers.
I have once shared in the church the story of a 75 year old man who dragged his 70 year old wife to court to seek divorce. The judge asked the question: "Since when have you been married?" The man replied, "Fifty-five years ago." "Then why do you want to divorce her now?" the judge asked further. The man said he simply wanted the marriage dissolved. Until many understand the ministry of deliverance, the ministry of conflict, the ministry of confronting the evil power, they will continue to suffer. Many will suffer from the cradle to the grave unless they get involved in the ministry of deliverance.
Maybe as a Church-goer, you are still dancing away every Sunday when you should be praying, you will eventually go back to your prayers because no dancing can bail you out. Maybe you are a church-goer who goes to church every Sunday to be entertained. Very soon you will discover that no entertainment amuses the devil. Maybe you are one of those who say it is not necessary to do any deliverance, and that all you need is do praise worship and use wisdom; never mind, it is a matter of time before internal enemies eat up your whole life.
The enemy has entered into the lives of many people right from inside the womb. All the bad dreams that they are talking about come from the inside, and not outside. So if you still want to be attending church services to amuse yourself while the enemies keep assaulting your body, you are simply incubating the arrows of the enemies. You have work to do. Certainly, you are not reading this by chance. God has made you to read this for a specific purpose.
Sometime ago, somebody threatened his younger brother: "Look, you are the only one in this family who has read up to the school certificate, the only graduate; now, you are so puffed up and full of yourself and now wish to travel overseas for further studies. Now, let me tell you: you are not going anywhere." Then the shocked younger brother said, "But if I’m able to go, brother, you stand to benefit from it all." But unimpressed, the elder brother scoffed, "Are you the only one in the family? How can everything be working for you? Why is it that you do not have problems? All human beings are supposed to have one problem or the other, so you must have problems!" The younger brother thought it was a mere joke until he traveled overseas, did his course then on the day he was to graduate, he was shot dead. He never came back to Nigeria. The elder brother was one of those who went to the airport to receive the corpse of the younger brother.
What is deliverance?
It is ejecting the evil spirits tormenting or possessing a person. Now, perhaps you have evil spirits bothering you without your knowing. It is possible for a person to be a blind witch without knowing. It is for this reason that some people wake up in the morning and find marks all over their body. These are the signatures of evil forces. When you have these marks on your body you sure need deliverance. When a person uses a particular drug for an ailment but the ailment refuses to be cured, there is a spirit behind it.
We have so many born again Christians who are able to speak in tongues yet are unable to cast out the demon of infirmity. They need deliverance.
Sometime ago, I was invited by a great preacher to dinner. I was not really interested in that dinner as I was going to preach the next day but I was forced to go. When I got there, the preacher reported his daughter to me that she never attended her classes, was in the habit of following boys all over the place. So I called the girl and exhorted her to hear what her parents were telling her. When I asked her if all her parents had said about her were true, the girl merely looked me in the face and asked, "What next?" I told her she was still to answer my question and she said, "No, sir, just go to the next point." I maintained she had to answer the question I put to her, but she still repeated: "Next point, sir." At this point I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit telling me, "Can’t you see the kind of person you are talking to? This girl before you is possessed; so pray!" I then began to pray: "Every power in the life of this girl, lose your control over her." All of a sudden, a male voice sounded from her throat, saying, "She is my wife, leave her for me!" The mother came from the kitchen to hear the daughter talking with a amn’s voice. She jumped on top of her bed and exclaimed, "I thought these things were in text-books! So this is happening live in my sitting room?" Then the spirit began to tell her, "We are the ones that gave you diabetes and hypertension." She was surprised that her enemy was in her own room: her own daughter. So we began to pray for the evil spirits in that house to get out but the spirits replied that they were not going to move an inch. Eventually, the spirits left after much prayer efforts. This was practical deliverance.
What is deliverance? Deliverance is to loose the bounds of wickedness. A lot of people are under the bondage of wickedness. Not that they have offended anybody, yet they have this bond of wickedness around them. Someone does not want to see you around and does all in his or her power to get rid of you, you can only fight back and free yourself with deliverance.
Sometime ago, a man went to a herbalist to seek for assistance in order to win a gold medal at a forth-coming international athletic meeting. The herbalist said this was no problem, that the man should go and bring a snake. The man was surprised and frightened. He told the herbalist, "Even when I stumble upon a dead snake I run, not to talk of a live one. This is impossible. May I pay you get it for me?" The herbalist said yes. All this man was doing was paying for his bondage. A lot of people have so paid for their own bondage.
The magic the herbalist wrought for the man was that immediately he took off from the starting block, a snake would be pursuing him so that the effort to escape the snake would serve to spur him ahead of the other athletes in the race, until he would eventually reach the finish line ahead of them. True, in this fashion, the man won the gold.
However, one day, in his sitting room, when he had completely forgotten about the snake, something crawled in and crept into his back. He instantly knew it was a snake. The reptile from then to began to move about inside his body. So the man began to be bound in this wickedness, until he was released by the power of God.
There many people walking around with satanic animals programmed into their body. These sort of people need deliverance. Deliverance is to destroy the yoke of the enemy. Anything that sets you back is a yoke. Anything that refuses to allow you to move forward is a yoke. Anything that links you up with those who are inferior to you, and whose speed you are forced to operate in, is a yoke, an enemy. Anything that sets you back is a yoke. Anything that refuses to allow you to move forward is a yoke. Anything that links you up with those who are inferior to you and in whose speed you are forced to operate, is a yoke. You need to pray seriously for such a yoke to be broken.
What is deliverance? Deliverance is to break curses and evil covenants. A girl once came for counseling. She had a husband who had no work and slept at home all day while the wife did all the running around, feeding the man, the children and paying the bills. And whenever Easter or Christmas was approaching the man would call his wife to ask if it was any good for her husband to be going about naked. "If you do not want me to go about naked, buy me this and that clothe" These demands drove the wife to seek counseling. The first question we asked her when she came to us was, "How many girls are there in your family?" The woman answered, "Five."
"How many of you are married?" "Only me." On further questioning, we learnt that the youngest of those unmarried sisters was 39 years old, and she who was now married seemed to be husbandless. This presented a veritable deliverance case.
What is deliverance? It is spiritual cleansing of an environment. You may be living in an environment where you are not prospering, or working in a factory where nothing is moving. All that may be required for a change is a deliverance for that environment.
What is deliverance? It is the breaking of satanic chains that have hindered freedom into a prosperous life.
What is deliverance? It is the removal of invisible load laid on people by the enemy.
What is deliverance? Deliverance is uprooting evil seeds from the lives of people. We had a meeting a night vigilsometime ago. All of a sudden, during the meeting, someone vomited a small serpent. How could a person live a holy life when there is a serpent inhabiting him? How can anyone fulfil his destiny when there is a serpent inside him? That represents a satanic seed that only deliverance can help uproot.
Deliverance is the removal of satanic embargo or padlock.
What is deliverance? Deliverance is the release from the powers of darkness. So if you look at yourself right now and see that all your efforts and inputs have always failed to get you success, you need deliverance. If instead of going forward you keep going backward, you need deliverance. When you find that, at a young age, you are already losing your memory, you need deliverance. When you are a man and have all manner of women running after you, you have the anointing of hell fire. When you, as a sister, find all manner of men running after you, you certainly need deliverance. When you who should be a winner keep failing in all you do, you definitely need deliverance.
When you are conquered by power contrary to your own, so that after you have misbehaved and scattered everywhere and everything, you begin to apologize for your actions, you represent a deliverance case. When a rich person suddenly turns poor, he needs deliverance. If some other people are always duping you and taking away your money, you need deliverance. For all your troubles and failures to come to an end you need deliverance. If you have some habits enslaving you, you need deliverance. When there are things moving about in your body, you need deliverance. If you have been born again for so many years but are yet to be baptised with the Holy Spirit, you need deliverance. When you encounter chain problems you need deliverance. When you have horrible dreams and horrible experiences in your dreams, you need deliverance. If you have participated in all manner of occultic religions, you need deliverance. If you find yourself endlessly eating and drinking at night, you need deliverance.
If you are especially confused and, as a man, you desire to sleep with a fellow man, you need deliverance. If you afflicted with sicknesses that defy medical diagnosis, you need deliverance. Restlessness, mental confusion and all such maladies represent a deliverance case.
When you are bound by sin and have been struggling to free yourself without success, you need deliverance. If, since you got born again, all those pre-christians thoughts are still part of your life, you need deliverance. When you experience inexplicable family break-up, you need deliverance. When there is an evil trend of problems in your family, you need deliverance. If you always experience failure at the edge of success, you need deliverance. When you are going through the normal channels of prayer, spiritual discipline and you apply the word of God in all what you do, yet victory does not come, you need deliverance.
WHAT TO DO
What then do you need to do? The first thing is to give your life to Christ. When you surrender your life to Jesus, there is chaos in the camp of the enemy. When you give your life to Christ, you will receive a measure of deliverance in your life. This means that salvation is a way out of all your problems. The meaning of salvation is that by giving your life to Jesus you can be free from all kinds of shackles of the enemy; deliverance is what you experience thereafter.
Through the word of God that you are reading now, deliverance can come to you. Through the casting out of evil spirits, deliverance can come to you. The best deliverance method, however, is you praying your way through. Prayer has prevailed over fire; it has prevailed over evil angels. No artillery can withstand the fire of prayer. Prayer has healed the sick, it has raise the dead and shut the mouth of the lion. You definitely need to pray at all times, so that God can give you the deliverance you need.
You need to cry out to the Lord for that deliverance, and He shall deliver you.
There is a particular testimony I have shared several times before. It was during a meeting when a word of knowledge came that there was a sister at that meeting who was being tormented by a snake and that from that night, she would not see that snake again. So there was a sister at that meeting who did not believe the message was for her but just said "Amen." After the meeting, she left for her house in the middle of the city, on the top floor of a four-storey building. She was thirty-nine years old but nobody had ever once told her, "I love you." Despite this, she retained her virginity. When she got home, as she entered into her bedroom, she found something sleeping in her bed, covered with her bed-spread. She was scared. She was about running back when something said, "You are coming from a prayer meeting of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries and you are still afraid?" Spurred by this voice, she tip-toed to the bed, pulled the bed-spread, whipping it off. In that bed was a python. Its head was resting on the pillow, but it was dead. On sighting this, the sister screamed and soon, her room was brimming with people. When her neigbours came, it was not the question of "Take away the snake," it was a matter of dragging it away. So dragged away the hefty thing. Now, for the first time, the sister realised that she was married but to a snake. The snake was on her bed every night but she never knew.
I pray that your unknown enemy shall be defeated in Jesus’ name.

10. I fire back every arrow fired into my life in my dream, in the name of Jesus.
11. O God, deliver me by fire, in the name of Jesus.
12. O Lord, I stand against every heart disease, high and low blood pressure; every kidney problem, get out by fire, in the name of Jesus.
13. I shall laugh last over my enemies, in the name of Jesus.

16. Every stronghold of stubborn witchcraft in my place of birth, be dismantled by fire, in the name of Jesus.

36. O God of Elijah, anoint me with your fresh fire for a new beginning, in the mighty name of Jesus.

37. Every seed of backsliding planted in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
38. Every spirit of Demas, loose your hold upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
39. I refuse to go back to Egypt, in the name of Jesus.
40. Every evil queen in the heavenlies militating against my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.
41. Every satanic check-point mounted in the heavenlies against my open heavens this year, I bulldoze you by fire, in the name of Jesus.
42. O Lord, let your presence melt away every mountain of problem in my life, in the name of Jesus.
43. O Lord, rend the heavens and come down for my help, in the name of Jesus.
44. (Point your hands to the heavens) O you heavens, open up and let the angels of destruction pursue my stubborn enemies to their destruction, in the name of Jesus.

62. Father, O Lord, let your hand of judgment manifest and announce the obituaries of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
63. O Lord, let my enemies, from this moment, begin to cry, in the name of Jesus.
64. Every power rearranging problems in my life, fall down now and die, in the name of Jesus.
65. Every curse of seeing good things but never attaining them, be broken by the name of Jesus.
66. Let your mantle of favour fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
67. Let your mantle that will dry my Jordan River fall upon me right now, in the name of Jesus.
68. Let the mantle of power fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
69. My God shall arise and my enemies shall scatter, in the name of Jesus.
70. Every herbalist consulting against my life shall fail, in the name of Jesus.
71. My enemies shall rise up against themselves, in the name of Jesus.
72. Every cauldron of darkness against my life, I command you to break, in the name of Jesus.
73. Every evil dream against my life shall never come to pass, in the name of Jesus.
74. Every power insisting on my destruction must die, in the name of Jesus.
75. Every tree of satanic embarrassment, die, in the name of Jesus.
Say the following prayers facing 6 directions (East, West, North, South, Heavenlies, the Earth) pointing your finger in each direction.
86. (East) in this direction, no man shall hinder my peace, in the name of Jesus.
87. (West) in this direction, no man shall hinder my happiness, in the name of Jesus.
88. (North) in this direction, no man shall hinder me, in the name of Jesus.
89. (South) in this direction, no man shall hinder my progress, in the name of Jesus.
90. (Heavenlies) You the moon, you the sun, and the stars, no power in you shall hinder my testimony, in the name of Jesus.
91. (The Earth) No power from the bottom of the earth shall hinder my miracles, in the name of Jesus.
