- Several years ago my Pastor preached a message entitled, “ A World in Trouble Needs a Church in Revival”, although very true; I say to you tonight that a “Church in Revival Needs a World in Trouble”!!!
- I also say that this Revival Church needs to be ready for this Troublesome World!! We need to “Stack the Wood” in preparation for the flames of revival to burn on!!!
- So I ask you what do we do to become this Revival Church!?!? How do we prepare?

- I once heard a man of God preach that Prayer & Fasting are because of Revival, well
I say that they are THE CAUSE of Revival!
- I believe that a prerequisite for Apostolic Revival is and must be a desire – a burning desire – placed deep within our souls – to please God. A desire to give God high praise.
- My wife and I attended the National Youth Workers Convention in Dallas, TX last
year, where we were admonished by Harold Linder to preach with the anointing
dripping off our fingers. To reach souls we must have the anointing.
- I am absolutely convinced tonight that without a passion for worship we will not experience the same type of revival that our forefathers of Pentecost once did.
(I said it once, and I’ll say it again tonight….)
- Calvin Coolidge once said, “It is only when men begin to worship that they begin to grow.”
- I believe whole heartily that we have to first get down on our knees and goto God in prayer, but then we need to look up and give God Praise!!!
- We must be a people of worship in order for us to be a Revival Church!!!
- Look at the New Testament Church. No matter what they went through, no matter the cost… they were going to have revival!!!! It was an absolute must!!!
- Jesus Christ spent 3 ½ years embedding Himself into 12 disciples, we find recorded in the Word of God that one left, one went astray, he was replaced, but God spent time on those 11 individual men.
- He placed within them a burden for souls, He placed within them a desire to see the lost won.
- He told them to go into the highways and the bi-ways, He told them to compel them to come. He told them these things have to be done.
- They were told to goto Jerusalem until they be endued with Power from on High….and that is exactly what happened….. The Bible says that on the Day of Pentecost….they were all in one accord……”
- Absolutely nothing was going to get in the way of Revival!!!
- Pride was not going to stop or jam up revival
– Judas had pride in his heart, but God took care of it.
- Understand that things are going to creep up in our lives, but God, if we will let Him,
will take care of those things.
- Lust creeped into the church
– Ananias & Sapphira came through the church doors holding back from God, but God struck them dead in the Church.
- I’m telling you tonight church
- Pride is not going to get in the way
- Lust is not going to get in the way
- Jealosy is not going to get in the way of the church
- ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
- The church is going to have Apostolic Revival!!! Now we need to make up in our minds that we are going to be part of that church!!!
- We need to make up in our minds that if the church is going to go on, that we’re going with it!!!
- The same can be said of modern day Missionaries overseas.
- You wonder to yourself why we hear stories of 1,000’s upon 1,000’s of people being filled with the Holy Ghost in a single service?
- Simple…. Consider what they are going through just to be in Church!!!
- Walking miles to get to church, some of them, with no shoes
- At the risk of death in some countries because it is illegal to worship Jesus!!!
- These people have what it takes to experience Apostolic Revival
- They have a burning desire to please God!!!
- They have hungry hearts and thirsty souls.
- In closing, as you stand, I remind you of Matthew’s teachings, where he said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled”!!!
- If our church is going to continue to experience Apostolic Revival….. we’re going to have to be hungry to do so!!!!
