HOW TO PRAY EVERY DAY
Power Through Prayer – Part 5
Heb. 9:1-6

For the last four weeks I have been speaking to on “Power Through Prayer”. The reason I chose to speak to the subject of prayer, is I believe that prayer is the most powerful thing a Christian can do for this world, their personal walk with God, and the best way to impact their friends and family.
But when it comes to prayer, most people fall short, and fail to spend any time on their knees because they don’t know how to pray. The disciple one day came to Jesus and ask Him to teach them to pray, because they sow the power that He had, and they knew it came from spending time in prayer.
Many of you have tried prayer in the past, and have said that I try it and it didn’t work. In the last four-week we have given you some powerful teaching on prayer, we now know that in order to see God answer our prayers we have to line up with His word.
Some of you after we have spoken on prayer for four weeks are still saying, “Pastor but how can I learn to pray every day and know that it is effective before God. Yes it’s one thing to learn all the Bible has to say about how to get an answer from God, but how do I build the daily habit of prayer.
So to day we will end this series on “Hoe to Pray Every Day” my goal to day is to show you how you can pray for 30 to 60 min. every day with ease. It will still take a lot of discipline but you will have a road map to show you how to pray.
Heb. 9:1-6
“Now in that first covenant between God and Israel, there were regulations for worship and a sacred tent here on earth. There were two rooms in this tent. In the first room were a lampstand, a table, and loaves of holy bread on the table. This was called the Holy Place. Then there was a curtain, and behind the curtain was the second room called the Most Holy Place. In that room were a gold incense alter and a wooden chest called the Ark of the Covenant, which was covered with gold on all sides. Inside the Ark were a gold jar containing some manna, Aaron’s staff that sprouted leaves, and the stone tablets of the covenant with the Ten Commandments written on them. The glorious cherubim were above the Ark. Their wings were stretched out over the Ark’s cover, the place of atonement. But we cannot explain all of these things now. When these things were all in place, the priests went in and out of the first room regularly as they performed their religious duties.”
What this tent was all about was it was a shadow of heaven. And in the room called the Holy of Holies there was this box called the Ark, and inside were the manna Aaron’s staff, and the Ten Commandments, these symbolized the supper-natural.
Vs. 11 “So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that great, perfect sanctuary in Heaven, not made by human hands and not part of this created world.
Vs. 23 “ That is why the earthly tent and everything in it—which were copies of things in heaven had to be purified by the blood of animals.
Rev. 11:19 says heaven has an Ark “Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the Ark of his covenant.”
(Indiana Jones will never find this Ark)
What I trying to tell you was that the tabernacle was a copy of heaven. So who would you like to visit heaven every day, you can just by understanding the tabernacle and the things in it. This tabernacle can help you pray every day like you are in heaven.
When we pray we should be remembering the articles and what they mean to us today.
Today we will go over the six items because each one of those items represents an area of prayer. And if you match up the Lord’s prayer to this it the same

The Outer Court
Now the little doted line around the tabernacle was a fence, made out of linen about six feet high, so you could only see in at the gate, so the first thing you saw was the out court and in front you saw the:
1. Brazen Alter. It was about four feet wide and four feet long and four feet high. It was made out of brass, brass is a metal of judgment.
The first thing you came to was the brazen alter and on top of the alter was a bleeding animal, and that bleeding animal is a type of the cross. The Bible says we over come the devil by what? The blood of the lamb. So when you come in prayer you need to tell the devil to stay out side, it’s at the cross you were redeemed
When you approached the tabernacle, you find the brazen alter where the priest killed the animals, sprinkled the blood, and burned the flesh to forgive the sins of the people. All the people who had committed sin had to bring animals to the tabernacle. As soon as they stepped into the courtyard of the tabernacle they saw the brazen alter where God judged sin by killing the animals. And in front of their eyes, the priest killed the animal, sprinkled the blood on the four corners of the alter and then poured out the blood and burned the flesh.
This is a type of the cross of Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, they all started to worship God at the brazen alter.
Likewise, when we pray, we must start from the cross of Calvary. Every day you must come to the cross where you see God judging your sin through Jesus Christ. Just as God judged the sin if Israel through the animals, God judges your sin through Jesus Christ.
The Cross Provided:
1. Salvation
I come to the cross and worship Jesus saying, “ Dear Jesus, I worship your blood. I thank you because your blood forgave all of my sins. All of the sins that I have committed, and all of the sins which I am going to commit in the future, You have forgiven me thank you.”
2. Healing
I pray- “Jesus through the stripes which You received at the courtyard of Pilate, my sickness and diseases have been taken away since 2000 years ago. I declare over my body. I thank you for divine healing through your blood.”
3. Redeemed from the curse
I pray- Dear Jesus, through your blood I have been redeemed from the curse. Because of Adam the earth was cursed. The earth was to bring forth thistles and thorns. That is the symbol of all the failure in life. But you God took our curse on the cross. So through your blood I am completely delivered from the curse. I am delivered from failure and poverty. I am free from the curse, I am a blessed person.”
4. The Holy Spirit
Out of Jesus side came blood and water, the blood is redemption, and John tells us the water represents the Holy Spirit.
5. Provision
You need to tell the devil to get off your provisions, get your business, your finances, tell him he can’t come inside the holy place.
2. The laver The Laver look like a birdbath it was made out of mirrors from Egypt, and the laver was three feet round and you would bend over to wash your self and you could see your self. You would wash your self, your hands your face, your legs, it really was a time of inspection of the priest
1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God.”
