Beating the odds through the Supernatrual
When it seems that all is against you and there is no way possibly of escape
that is when God likes to do his thing
1 Sam 17:1-12
1Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered
together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and
Azekah, in Ephes-dammim.
2And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley
of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.
3And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a
mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
4And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath,
of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.
5And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of
mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.
6And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his
shoulders.
7And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed
six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.
8And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye
come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul?
choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
9If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if
I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.
10And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that
we may fight together.
11When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were
dismayed, and greatly afraid.
God loves to use the supernatual to confound the natual
Dan 3:16-27
16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O
Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery
furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor
worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
19Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed
against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded
that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be
heated.
20And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery
furnace.
21Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their
other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
22Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace
exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-nego.
23And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into
the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake,
and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of
the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire,
and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and
spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high
God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego,
came forth of the midst of the fire.
Sometimes your battles in life cannot be won by natual means, but they must
be won by the supernatual power of God.
2 Kings 4:1-7
1Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto
Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant
did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be
bondmen.
2And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the
house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot
of oil.
3Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty
vessels; borrow not a few.
4And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy
sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is
full.
5So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who
brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
6And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring
me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil
stayed.
7Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay
thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
Sometimes God seemingly uses the stranges things to deliver his people

2 He brought the people to the edge of the water.(Red Sea)
3 The battle of Gideon 300 men of war went against 1,35000 men of Midian.
4 God used a rebelous Nazarite to destroy the Phillistines.
5 God caused fire to consume the the ditch of water around the ox,also
consuming the ox and everything that was there.
Time would not allow me to tell of all the mighty asks of God.
Understanding the key element here; “The Spirit of God”
Luke 4:1-2
4:1And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by
the Spirit into the wilderness,
2Being forty days tempted of the devil.
Even Christ was led by the Spirit of God, this is the secret weapon that we as
christian have to fight with against the enemy
2 Cor 10:3-4
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to
the pulling down of strong holds;)
God is, and always will be there for you and I, to turn to in the time of
trouble
Deut 20:3-4
3And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against
your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye
terrified because of them;
4For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your
enemies, to save you.
1 Chron 28:20
20And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it:
fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he
will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the
service of the house of the LORD.
Ps 138:3-4
3In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength
in my soul.
Isa 35:3-4
3Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will
come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made
perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Eph 6:10-17
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

of the devil.

powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God:
So remember, God likes to use the supernatual to confound the natural.
