The Power of Confession
Confess: to publicly declare adherence to
1.) Romans 10:9,10
a. We received salvation by publicly declaring with our mouth
b. Many of us have stop there, and in verse 10 “with the mouth confession made unto salvation.” (Amplified) “and with the mouth he confesses and confirms his salvation” establishes or makes certain his salvation”
c. Salvation means deliverance from all curses including death. Anytime I need deliverance from any situation all I must do is confess my way unto salvation.
2.) God has given us a tool of the word of God, that when spoken propels us to greatness. It caused us to get born again, now it will allow us to create our future.
3.) Luke 21:15 “ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all the adversaries shall not be able to gainsay or resist.
a. Wisdom = Words (Word of God)
b. Words are meant to be spoken out of the mouth
c. When you do that, it makes the adversaries unable to gainsay nor resist it.
d. What stops the hand of the enemy? The Word of God in your mouth, spoken.
4.) Proverb 18:20, 21
a. What satisfies a man’s belly? The fruit of His mouth (Words)
b. With the increase of His lips shall he be satisfied (the more the words come out of your mouth, the more you will be satisfied.
c. Why? Because death and life are in the power of the tongue.
d. The tongue has power to produce death or life: Every word you speak produces something (Matthew 12:36) Every idle word you must give an account for.
e. But when you use the tongue how God originally created for it to be used, it can and will produce life. (Salvation, healing, etc..)
5.) What else the Bible say’s about the mouth and tongue?
a. Proverb 10:11 Well of life
b. Proverb 13:3 He that keepeth his tongue keepeth his life
c. Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life
d. Psalms 50:19 When you give your mouth to the wrong things it will produce evil.
e. Proverbs 6:2 You are trapped because of what you say
i. What’s been trapping your blessing, your provision, and your inability to excel? Your words
f. James 3:10 out of the same mouth proceeds blessings and cursing
6.) Luke 21:15
a. God gave us a mouth and words to use against our enemies not for our enemies
b.
7.) Genesis 1:26
a. Man was created in the image and likeness of God
b. Therefore we are to act like God acts.
c. How God get’s results we are to get results, How God created the world we are to create our world.
d. How did God do this? With His word
8.) Genesis 1:3
a. Notice the Spirit of God was present, but He could do nothing until God SAID.
b. The Spirit of God is present in your life, but He can do nothing for you until You say.
c. Do you know you have a force of angels that are waiting to work on your behalf, but they can do nothing until you Say. (Psalms 103:20)
d. Notice once God said “let there be light”, what happened? And there was light.
e. Whatever God said, it was so
9.) Notice what God said. He never said what was.
a. Example Genesis 1: 2,3 ….There was darkness upon the face of the deep, what did God say.
b. He said the exact opposite of what was, and He said what He wanted.
c. That’s not denying the fact that it was dark, but what does it help you to say what already is.
d. Mark 11:23, 24 say’s I shall have whatsoever I say. If I always say what I already have, what will I get? What I always have.
e. We must change in this area.
10.) Romans 4:17B Look how God operates
a. He calls those things that be not as though they were
b. God never calls (or says) what is, He say’s what is not to bring it into what is.
c. Now is God denying what is? NO It may be a fact you are sick, poor, lonely, depressed. But the truth of God’s Word is you are healed, wealthy encouraged and not lonely.
11.) John 17:17 What is truth? God’s Word is truth
12.) Everything else that doesn’t agree with God’s word is simply a fact that is canceled out by God’s Word. (Romans 3:4)
a. Let God be true.
b. You must allow the truth of God’s Word to be established in your heart.
c. The Word of God must be the final authority
13.) The truth of God’s Word that is spoken will change your life.
