The Miracle of the Incarnation: A vivid portrayal of the coming move of
God
Text: Luke 1:26-38
Introduction:
Just as the coming move of God was on the horizon before the
incarnation, so it is now. God is about to do something spectacular in
the earth. We must learn lessons from the past and there in lies the
example of the miracle of the Incarnation in Luke 1, because it gives us
insight into what God is looking for in order that He might tear open the
heavens and pour out His Spirit in Revival and Restoration power.
vs. 27 - before this great move of God in the world, He chose a pure,
untainted woman,
who was betrothed to a man, engaged to be married. He is returning for a
glorious
church, without spot or wrinkle, washed in the blood of the Lamb. He is
returning for a
clean, virgin church that is betrothed to Christ. Before His return, He
is birthing revival,
and holiness in His church.
vs. 28 - She was highly favored, and blessed among women.
vs. 29 - We may be troubled when God begins to move in a new way in us,
because
change is taking place, but it is an awesome work of God.
vs. 30 - Know that when God chooses us, that we have found favor with
Him.
vs. 31 - As His holy church, we are to be bringing forth Jesus.
vs. 33 - What He is birthing in us, His church, is a kingdom that has no
end. It’s worth
giving up everything this world has to offer. Even when the world judges
you because
they have no understanding, it’s worth it all because of His kingdom
coming to earth.
vs. 34, 35 - This move of God in us is not something that we can do in
the natural. This is
a holy move of God.
vs. 36, 37 - Spiritual relatives of ours will be supernaturally giving
birth to John the
Baptists - those who will make straight paths, and prepare the way of the
Lord.
# 1 God is looking for "Spiritual Virgins" to use to usher in this
move of God. These spiritual virgins will have these characteristics:
Purity
Matt 5:8
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
(NKJ)
Ps 24:3-6
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in
His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up
his soul to an idol,
nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from
the God of his
salvation.
6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek
Your face. Selah

Fruit
Gal 5:22-25
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness,
faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its
passions and desires.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
(NKJ)
Character
Rom 5:1-5
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with
God through our
Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in
which we stand, and
rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing
that tribulation
produces perseverance;
4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been
poured out in
our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
(NKJ)
Holiness
1 Pet 1:13-16
13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest
your hope fully upon
the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former
lusts, as in your
ignorance;
15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your
conduct,
16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
(NKJ)
# 2 Angels will play a significant role as ministering spirit’s in the
spiritual warfare before and during
the coming move of God
Heb 1:14
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for
those who will inherit
salvation?
(NKJ)
# 3 The baptism in the Spirit and the anointing of God will be the two
most important elements
Acts 1:8
8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you; and you
shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and
to the end of the
earth."
(NKJ)
# 4 Faith in God’s Word will be the central focus of the coming move
of God
Mark 11:20-26
20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree
dried up from the
roots.
21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree
which You
cursed has withered away."
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.
23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,
’Be removed and be
cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that
those things he says
will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.
24 "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,
believe that you
receive them, and you will have them.
25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against
anyone, forgive
him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
26 "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven
forgive your
trespasses."
(NKJ)
Heb 6:1
1 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles
of Christ, let us go
on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead
works and of
faith toward God,
