Intro: I want to start this message this morning with a serious Question.
What is God’s purpose for your life?
Million’s of people are attending Church this morning with this same question on their minds.
Most of them are attending Church this morning for the first time all year and some never miss…
Most are seeking God’s purpose.
But unfortunately we don’t know where to look.
I’m Glad you are here this morning But I want to speak to you very open and frank.
What did you come expecting God to do this morning?
Some of you just came maybe to see friend’s or you came with family.
Some of you came to hear Just a simple Three point Easter message
And you came in this morning and saw the outline in your bulletin and said yep another Easter message……..
But some of you have come in this morning and you are seeking, you may have an empty feeling and the Easter Holiday has been hard on you.
Perhaps you are even wondering why you came.
But I want to tell you this morning you that God has you here for a purpose.
AMEN>>
And I pray before you leave this morning that God will mosve on you in mighty power.
Last week in my study time here in the office, God began to deal with me concerning this message, Inwardly I struggled because I had been preparing what I thought I was preaching for some time now.
But I really believe God want’s to speak to all of us this morning.
And if you allow him he will speak to you.
The verse we have just read,
Paul said, He seeks to know Jesus, but in the power of his resurrection
He said I want to know him.
But what does that mean?
How do you get to know God?
What does Paul mean?
First of all,
What ever God does he does it to fulfill his purpose and his will.
You say Pastor, What do you mean God’s purpose?
Well let me give you just a few examples
1. God’s word is his will, and God’s will is his word. They are one.
2. And God’s will is so important we read in Psalm 138:2 he has placed his word above his name.
The word purpose: is also translated – will, decree, law of God, council of God.
Can I tell you this morning? That God is only interested in his will?
Or his original intent.
God doesn’t want any thing else, except what he intended.
If you please “God is very self-centered.
For years I thought God was interested in me
Boy was I disappointed
God is only interested in what he has made me to do for him.
The bible says in Colossians 1:16 all things were created by him, and for him:
He didn’t even make it for you.
He made it for himself
Including you,
God didn’t create you for anybody else.
He loan’s you to people.
Can I tell you this morning that God will do
any thing for his will to come to pass?
Jesus mad a statement in Mathew 5: that is very important
Turn there.
I want to show you how powerful the purpose of God is.
I made a statement a moment ago that God has placed his word above his name.
That is very important because
The word –word means the same thing as the word will, council, purpose
And the Hebrew word for Name is translated Being or to be.
Write the word name down so you can see it better.
In other word the name and the thing are one.
And God said I have place my word above my name
God is saying I have place my will above myself
My will is more important than me.
Look up here for just a moment……..
Now that is Jehovah Jireh talking
Elohim, Adoni, Jehovah shalom
The omnisciennt all powerful all knowing God
He say’s What I want is more important than who I ‘am.
I hope you understand this.
That is why it is important for you to lock in to what God want’s.
Because God is motivated by what he want’s.
Look at Matthew 5:18
In other word’s I will move heaven and earth if that is what it takes for everything to be performed.
Let me explain….
He say’s you Guy’s are excited about space, The planet’s and the galaxies, you are impressed by the black holes and the milky way and the stars, you think that is deep.
You are impressed when you visit Colorado and the Grand Canyon, when you see a mighty river and oceans.
God is saying,
I will move all of that if that is what it take for what I want to come to pass.
Question?
Don’t you think you should find out what he want’s?
God will remove,
You, your boss, Father, mother sister, cousin, community, city, nation, county planet.
If it gets in the way of his will.
That is what he Just said.
Let me tell you something
God will remove any body that prevents him from performing his will for your life.
In fact God will wreck the economy of an entire nation for you to find your purpose.
If you don’t believe me ask Joseph.
God sent a famine and destroyed the entire economy of Egypt.
Can I tell you that everything was created for God’s purpose?
The universe is not even God’s purpose
It was created for God’s purpose.
The universe was created to have balance.
So he could put a Sun and 9 planets and on the third one he put some kid’s.
And God watches the whole thing.
The precision of the universe is blowing the scientist minds
And he did all of that so you could do something for him.
God is committed to what he want’s.
And that is why You can Trust God,
You can lean on God.
It doesn’t matter if they lay you off, or fire you
It doesn’t matter when things fall apart and don’t go right.
God didn’t say that,
He said just keep on leaning.
Listen to me……..
Believe what God said not what’s happening
Why?
Because what God say’s will always overcome what is happening.
His purpose prevails’
His plans prevail over problem’s
Jer. 29:29
I know my plan’s for you,
I know them you don’t
I know them………

Let me show you……
Your purpose is what God created you to do-------
And then he backs up ------
And tells you why you were created,,,,, For that purpose……
Now, your purpose is your Destiny.
Your birth is called your initiation.
The distance between your birth and your purpose is called the plan----
The plan is the way God will get you to your purpose………..
God will show you the purpose
You see a vision for your life
But not the plan,
Why?
Because the plan is to prepare you for the purpose your going to get too.
Can I tell you there is no Character in your Birth?
And God has to develop Character before you get to the purpose….
Why?
Because the purpose is so awesome, that if you have no character ------
When you get there without it the purpose will destroy you.
Character is developed under pressure.
He said not to harm you------- that is very important.
He say’s I’ll put you in the fire for a brief two months but I’m not harming you ,,,, I’m refining you…….
That is why God doesn’t’ show you the plan…..
Everybody say,
Don’t show me the plan,
Just show me the purpose…
And when everything falls apart
You say God you told me what I was supposes to do and he say’s
We are not there yet.
I’m not working on that, I’m working on you……..

Why does God do that?
Real simple because God is Holy……..
God is committed to fulfilling his word because he is holy.
Illustration:
For years I didn’t understand holiness.
I thought is was wearing long white dresses and white shoes and white gloves and and ugly face.
Then I thought it was wearing long robes and burning incense all around.
Or walking around with your hands’ crossed looking ugly and never smiling.
Can I tell you what holiness mean’s?
It means; it simply means, ONE
It is the word integrity
The word integrity come from the root word integrate.
To integrate means to be one.
Purity, holiness, integrity is to be one with your self-
One with what you say……..
One with what you promise
You are Holy when your word’s and your action’s are the same.
Don’t look now but there are a lot of unholy people sitting around you….
The churches are filled with unholy people…..
Example….
Worker’s volunteer to work in the children’s dept. and they last three weeks.
Unholy people--- they don’t keep their word…
Promise to come on time to a meeting and they come late all the time---that is a liar… Unholy ---They lack integrity………
Unholy leaders in the church, pastors preaching against adultery and committing it in the kitchen…
There is one word you can always be sure is ascribed to God in the bible-----
Is the word Holy….
He doesn’t have it
He is it…….
He is one with his word
That is why if you break your word God has to keep his.
Can I tell you this morning?
If God told you he was going to do something for you in this life time then relax,
Because he will do it
Now I have a very serious question for you.
You understand God is committed to doing his will
But how committed are you to Him?
How sensitive are you to God’s spirit?
Can I tell you God can only move in your life when you are broken to do his will?
Ask you’re self-this question?
When was the last time God shook me up?
God please let them feel what I’m feeling Right now
When was the last time You ran to the altar for God to touch you?
And do you even care if he does?
Some of you here this morning, you didn’t come expecting God to touch you.
Because you think you have enough.
AT WHAT PIONT IN YOUR LIFE DID YOU HAVE ENOUGH OF GOD?
What does God have to remove in you life for his will and purpose to break through?
For some of you it is fear, and others of you it is that old religious I like my view from here attitude.
But I believe there are some of you here this morning that If you don’t see God move in your life you will not make it.
You have been waiting
When was the last time you where broken before God?
Can I tell you if your not hungry for God to break you, then you don’t deserve his power?
See most of us are Hungry, but we are not desperate.
When was the last time you truly felt God’s Power and Love?
When was the last time you trusted God to make senses out of your life?
When was the last time you worshipped with out one single distraction?
Were you could focus directly on God?
Most of you don’t focus on God you focus on your neighbor or the whether or not we sing the right songs or the song’s you like.
At what point in your walk with God did you expect your own way???????
At what point did you settle for spiritual leftover’s?
I’ll be the first to admit to you Church,
I thank God to where he has brought me but I can’t stay here.
I need more of him, Like Paul said I must know him in the power of his resurrection.
