I. Priority of Prayer
A. John 15:7, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in
you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done
unto you”
B. James 4:2b, “You do not have because you do not ask”
C. Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me”
D. John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that
abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth

II. Pattern of Scripture
A. Acts 1:4-5, “And, being assembled together with them,
commanded them that they should not depart from
Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which,
saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized
with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost
not many days hence”
B. Acts 1:14, “These all continued with one accord in prayer

III. Prototype of Antioch

the work whereunto I have called them. And when they
had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them,
they sent them away”
