The Psalmist King David in Psalms 26 speaks about his confidence in his walk with the Almighty God. What surprises me is that his audacity in telling God about his own life, how he walked and how he lived his life. Unless one is confident and steadfast he or she would not talk about their walk with God.
King David starts the Psalm by saying "Vindicate me O God."
1. Thereafter he said, "for I have walked in my integrity." What is integrity? It is doing right when no one sees us. It is being faithful even in the least thing. We do not count the consequence but totally focused on obedience to God. The fear of God leads to a walk of integrity. Many a times as humans we tend to ignore those things which are of less importance, but a Child of God will always be careful even with the least things because he is responsible and accountable. That is integrity.
2. I have TRUSTED in the Lord.
Our Trust in the Lord is what all matters. Pslams 125:1, says that those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion and they shall not be shaken. Believing in God is the base or the foundation of our spiritual lives, but trusting God is something that I can vouch as the higher form of belief. We need to trust God for little things and greater things. It is also stated that blessed are those who put their trust in the Lord. God wants us to be dependent on Him for everything.
3. I shall not SLIP.
King David said that he would not slip. In the journey of life we come across many situations and circumstances wherein we face many ups and downs. All through these phases we find people who waver and people who fall back and also people who quit because of uncertainties. When we know who our God is we do not have to fear nor look back. We will not waver nor slip because of the strong foundation that we are in. We need to stand out ground. The Lord Jesus Christ said in John 16:33 that in this world we will have tribulations but we need to be cheerful because He has overcome the world. Trials and tests are only to make us much stronger in Him.
4. I have walked in Your Truth.
The Word of God says that we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free. We see many people who are living in victimised state and also in bondages because of lack of knowledge of the truth. The Lord Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life". The fact that the Lord Jesus alone could redeem us from every bondage and blindfoldedness releases great victory in our lives. Knowing the truth is to one side and walking in that Truth is to another. It is vital for us to understand certain facts which will lead us to victory in our lives. King David was very confident in his walk wth God.
It is very important to walk in Him and that is what His will is. Even as we walk in Him let us expect great things from God. God bless us abundantly !!!
