The promises of God are precious and when God says something it is affirmative. They are to be received, prayed upon and prepared for the fulfillment. The sentence "Do not Fear," is a powerful statement. It comes directly from God. The term determines that we do not have to worry or fear something or someone because the Creator Himself is with us. He assures protection, provision, blessing and so on. As mentioned in the introduction, the sentence "Do not be afraid" or "Do not fear" is mentioned around 365 times in the Bible. When God says something we better take heed because it is not the word of any man but God. There is an incident in the Bible which could help us understand and also fuel our faith in this journey of life.

In Mark 5, the Bible talks about a man named Jairus. The meaning of Jairus means "Enlightment". He was a Synagogue ruler by profession, a learned man, respected in the society and so on. One incident in his life led to a certain phase where his light began to fade in his own life. The man who was called to shine saw his light diminishing in his life. What happened?

He had a 12 year old daughter. One day she fell sick. She was taken to the doctors and the medication prescribed could not help her, rather, her condition began to detoriate day by day. She became so sick that she was alomost on her death bed with no signs of hope left for her survival. One day Jairus completely disheartened, hopeless, given up state, lands straight at the Feet of the Lord Jesus Christ. He explained Jesus about the condition of his daughter. He told the Lord that she would live if He would lay His Hands on her.

I strongly believe that the best place in the world is the Presence of God. I am sure that everyone of you would agree with me. There is no better place than the Presence of God. I would rather call it as the Best Place. Secondly, Jairus went to the best person in the world. I am sure that Jairus would never regret that. Many a times we look to people who could help us in times of need or trouble. The Psalmist King David said in Psalms 121:1, "I lift up my eyes to the hills from where comes my help, my help comes from the Lord the Maker of the Heaven and the Earth." We should always look up to God first. The moment Jesus heard Jairus He started walking to his house.

While they were on the way to the house of Jairus, his servants came with the news that his daughter was no more. She was dead and there was no need for Jesus to come to his house. It has been mentioned in the Bible that ignoring what they said, Jesus told Jairus, "Do not be afraid, just believe." We need to ignore certain statements what people make in our lives. We do not have to accept all negative or unwanted statements what others speak into our lives. There are certain statements we need to ignore in our lives. When we trust God we do not have to accomodate any negativity in our lives. Psalms 125:1 says that those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion which shall not be shaken.

As the Lord Jesus enters the house of Jairus, He sees a commotion of people mourning and weeping loudly. The moment He entered the house He told them not to cry since she was sleeping and not dead. Immediately everyone started laughing at the Words of Jesus. The Words of Jesus was made a joke in the house of Jairus. The Lord Jesus walks straight to the room where the dead body of the little girl was laid and speaks to her to wake up. Immediately, the little girl who was dead for sometime comes back to life. Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ.

This day, I want you to be receive the Word, "Do not fear, just believe." Even as you begin to operate in faith that all things are possible to God; my Prayer is that every dead situation will come back to life and everything that you have lost would be restored as you put your trust in the Almighty God.

God bless you abundantly !!!
