Our identity in God and His Identity in our lives is very important. God calls us with different titles but how do we look at our God is also equally important. We shall look into a few insights of His Identity in our lives.
The Psalmist King David describes the Lord God with various titles
1. In Psalms 20:1 (a), "he describes Him a Prayer answering God. He is a God who hears us. He said in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call unto me and I will answer you." We need to know that our God answers our Prayers. Prayer bridges the gap between eand man. Communication with God develops a strong relationship with Him.
2. Psalms 20:1 (b) He is our Defender. He defends us from the schemes of the evil one. He sustains us. He holds us by His Right Hand. He does not let us down. He ensures that the darts of the evil one shall not come near us. He is our Shield and Refuge
3. Psalms 20:2 (a) He is our Helper.
He is our ever present help in times of trouble. He is the One whom we can seek for help anytime. Ps 121:1 states that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of the Heaven and the earth.
4. Psalms 20:2 (b) He is our Strength.
From Him comes our Strength. He alone can strengthen us. None can compensate His Strength. The joy of the Lord is our Strength. We can rely upon Him for anything.
5. Psalms 20:3 He remembers us.
He remembers our offerings that has been offered. Everything that we sow has been recorded. God knows every detail of it. He remembers what we give. We also read in Acts 10 when God's Angel spoke about his offerings being remembered by God.
6. Psalms 20:4 He grants the desires of our heart.
For a man who has an intimate relationship with God always has his desires of the heart granted. He is indeed blessed. He also fulfils our purpose. We are called to do His Will and fulfil His Purpose.
As we read further there are a lot of revelations of God. Let the Lord be a blessing to you every moment of your life.
