Summary: LEARN TO BE A DISCIPLE

In Matthew 11:29, Jesus says,

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

The key word is learn. Christianity is not just believing — it is learning from Jesus every day.

1. Learn to be a disciple – (2 Peter 1:5)

Add to your faith goodness, knowledge, and self-control. A disciple is someone who grows intentionally.

2. Learn to be content – (Philippians 4:11)

Paul says, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” Contentment is learned, not automatic.

3. Learn to stand firm – (Exodus 14:13)

“Stand firm and you will see the deliverance of the Lord.” Sometimes faith means standing still and trusting God.

4. Learn to forgive – (Ephesians 4:31)

Let go of bitterness and anger. Forgiveness brings freedom.

When we take His yoke and learn from Him, we find true rest — not because life is easy, but because our hearts are anchored in Him.

Amen.
