In Matthew 17:1, we see that Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up the mountain. The first lesson is simple — Walk with Jesus. They didn’t stay behind. They followed Him. When we choose to walk with Jesus daily, even into unknown places, we step into divine experiences.
In Matthew 17:3, Moses and Elijah appear and talk with Jesus. This reminds us to Talk with Jesus. Prayer is not a ritual; it is a relationship. When we speak with Him, heaven listens. When we pour out our hearts, He responds.
Then in Matthew 17:5, the Father declares, “This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!” Above all, we must Listen to Jesus. Walking is important. Talking is powerful. But listening is transformational.
Today, let us:
Walk with Jesus.
Talk with Jesus.
And most importantly — Listen to Jesus.
Because when we listen to Him, our lives will never be the same.
Amen.
